Decent, but not great.

Over all, it was a decent game.

Cons:
1. You can not climb over low wall, I mean LOW walls, logs, molehills, ridges in the road. Ok, I exaggerate a little here, but not much. No low wall over foh JOOO! 1 yr.
2. Forget the 3-5 second rush to move from cover to cover. No running.
3. Only able to go up or down the lowest inclines. This causes you to get "hung" on what LOOKS like little hills,.
4. Can be quite difficult to even spot the enemy. Thank goodness your squad members can spot them.

Pros:
1. Love the way you can set your team up with weapons and all.
2. Low crawl, crouch, or hunch over.
3. Fairly realistic. Every bullet can count.
4. Waypoints, map, all that is really nice.

If you are looking for fast paced fun action though, and don't need/have Xbox Live, go for Halo!

Played all of the games and by far, Ghost Recon is the best Xbox Live game (it has a pretty great single player game as well).

Unbelievable game...so much fun

I played this game last night vs. my friend and as a team against a common foe and it is so good it's scary. I also bought MOH Frontline this week and am afraid it may not hold a candle to this game. With on-line play, you may never leave your house again.

If you think you may like it, get it. You won't be disappointed.

Ghost Recon is a very realistic piece of software; Tom Clancy does it again! The surrealism will almost provide its player with "powder burns." It is at its best when played on the X Box Live System. My advice: "Stay low... and Good Hunting!!!"

do not purchase if you have a gen 1 xbox

The game will continue to lock up on one or multi or online games if you have a xbox with an older dvd player, pretty disapointing.

4 star - so this is a good game and the online play is fantastic.

I like how realistic it is. it is very dificult to see the enemies some times...that's good.

I don't like that you cannot pick up weapons off dead people. if you're mission is to blow up a bridge and the soldier with the charges dies, you're screwed, mission failed. that's my biggest complaint. how hard would it have been to incorporate that?

other than that, i like it.

This is one of the most incredible games ever made taking a first person shooter to and all new detailed and steathfull level. And XBOX delivers this with excellence. ENJOY!

This is the first game I picked up with Xbox Live and I haven't stopped playing it. Think about being part of Saving Private Ryan and you'll understand what you're dealing with.

The year is 2008 and Russia has taken back the states West of it (Georgia, Uzbekestan, etc...). You choose your path. You can play the linear game where you can conquer the objectives in all arena's and thus complete the game or you can play online with multiplayer and choose many different options (Firefight, Mission, Teams).

In Firefight mode, you and however many other people online seek to kill the predetermined number of enemies. In Mission, you pick a map (swamp, POW camp, etc...)and coordinate a group/team to meet your many objectives. In Team mode, it's your team against another online team. Last man standing wins.

What excites me everytime is how intense the game play is every time I play it. The people you play online with are into it as much as I am. The game play is cool too. When grenades explode around you and tanks are firing, your screen shakes and controller vibrates making it very realistic.

You can also control how many respawns you/your team has. This is how many times you can comeback into the game after being killed. With a setting of "none", you truly have to plan a routine verrrry carefully. It's the closest/most realistic war game out there.

If I could have given the game 100 stars, I would have.

I guarantee you'll love this game. It's the best one out there in this genre right now...and if you don't have Xbox Live, you're doing yourself a disservice!

I got this game because I love the idea of adding stratergy to fps and also because I love the realism of battlefield combat. When I first played the game it reminded me of opperation flashpoint. It's extremely realistic and the AI is extremely intelligent, enemy soldiers take cover, try to flank your teams location and even ambush your team. Graphics are great and the maps are diverse, from missions in a swamp to urban combat missions (one of them reminded me of Black Hawk Down with enemy soldiers shooting from rooftops). This game is tons of fun to play if you lie the genre.
