Ghost recon

The graphics are nice. I couldn't just grab the controller and star killing everything, It takes practice and a little bit of strategy. in the end, I couldn't stop playing ! it was addicting in every ways. I have signed up for xbox live..........WOW. Its a whole new game, but not just that.......playing with and against others makes this game high up with halo and DOA 3! Please don't tell me you don't have sourround 5.1?....oh man!

This is the first game I got for xbox live and I overall wasn't disappointed except for one flaw:
I bought the Xbox Live Starter kit and Ghost Recon at the same time and when I got home i first played the demo of Whacked. My microphone worked fine and it was fun communicating with the other players. I then decided to try Ghost Recon. When I tried to communicate with other players with my mic online, they didn't seem to respond. I played several games and it seemed as though my mic was not working on this game but worked fine on all the other online games. Well after about four days I got tired of this and decided to call Xbox. They told me that they had been getting several complaints about this game and the mic not working. They told me they would contact ubi soft and get back to me. I am still awaiting their reply.
Overall I really love this game except for this flaw which is why I gave it a 4 out of 5. This game is one of the greatest war games out for Xbox (excluding Halo) and I would recommend it for everyone. The online play is great (except for the mic)and it never lags.

I dont speak for everyone when I say this the best game in existence. Not everyone can like it. It's a one-of-a-kind hit or miss. For me and a few others (thousand others) it hit with a stricking power. The controls are so much better than the PC version. And any [...] can see it doesn't compare to HALO, they are a differnt type of game! HALO is a slaughter game, Ghost Recon is a stealh game, like most Clancy games (e.g. Splinter Cell). It is hands down the most reallistic FPS there is. You die in one hit, along with enemys, weapons are REAL (M-16, M4, M203 sidemount), situations make almost too much sense, and russian AI compares with real soldiers. This is by far my favorite game, and may be or may not be the best. Rent it, if you like it buy it. But if you like slaughter games with health bars and fast-pased HALO action, dont bother. You ought to know better than get a game your obviously not going to like. But for the smart people who like to plan out ambushes, attacks, etc, this game offers superb comanding, superb AI, and the top of the line graphics. Unlockable characters, levels, make it even better. And the opening movie is awe-inspiring, better graphics than HALO. And again for all the morons out there, if you dont like it than dont buy it.

I thought the realistic effects: graphics, sound, great game control were excellent.

My problem with it is it makes my xbox crash much more than any other game I own. It is hard sometimes to complete a mission when it crashes over and over again in the really graphic intense scenes.

But overall, a really fun, realistic game.

Good online, but thats where it ends....

I'm pretty open to most games... in fact, I don't find too many shooters that I don't enjoy, and to top that off, I really enjoy more "realistic" games.
Unfortunately, Ghost Recon fails in nearly all environments excluding online play.
You see, in single player, you run around, mostly in forest type terrain (you can't actually SEE any enemies because there are too many trees and the graphics are so poor that you can't barely distinguish a bush and an enemy).
Now here is the HUGE problem, you have 5 other teammates all controlled by AI (unless you switch to them specifically)... they 3 of them run through the level on a predetermined path and easily kill all their enemies without stopping. The 2 guys that run with you, are gauranteed to see the enemy and kill the enemy before you ever even realize they are there (remember you can't see anything).
This game has a superb concept, but just completely lacks in its actually gameplay, its annoying and boring.
If you are an intense online player, this game will provide tons of action packed fun on xbox live... but by all means, avoid it for the single player missions.
If you are looking for realistic-semi-realistic shooters, try out conflict desert storm I and II.... both very fun squad play in first person.. stealth, action, great weapons, great squad dynamics, etc.

I bought this game the day it came out hoping for a fun shoot'em up experience. When you play on xblox live even with 16 people EVERY SINGLE GAME turns into a boring, pointless, frustrating snipe fest. Just about every player ALWAYS picks a sniper rifle and when the round stars every player finds some dark hole or bush to hide behind and the sniping begins. Ghost Recon multiplayer = Boring, cheap, scope camping people who all think they are the greatest thing since sliced bread because they can sit somewhere and shoot you from a mile away while your the only one in the whole game with an assault rifle. SAVE YOUR MONEY for Counter-Strike, or Soldier of Fortune for Xbox if like REAL fun multiplayer experiences. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME ITS SUCKS TERRIBLY!

The game is boring, you shot people from a distance with your sniper rifle. Big Deal. You've seen it all before. I solved this game in 3 nights with very very light game play. There is nothing more to really say about it....

I got to go eat dinner a Stake and Shake so I will keep this short. I love this game. It is ausume. I played it all night and I beat it. I love the multiplyer in this game I played it with my brother he is very good at it. So I got to go eat at the Stake and Shake peace out dogs.

Game is not run and gun, need to use battlefield tactics. 50, yes 50 missions, took me about 30 min each for first two missions so far, maybe that is a long time, but i did not lose any men...

Definitely a more intelligent and realistic game
than Conflict Desert Storm but,it wasnt as fun to play,at
least not for me.I don't mean to slam this game in anyway
because it's obvious they put alot of time and effort into
making this a believable game,it's just not all that fun after
Conflict Desert Storm.Maybe it's a little too realistic.
