Great game, it puts you in the middle of combat. It is so much better than the PC version. And online play is the best I have experienced, I have not seen any lag at all while playing and it is fun talking to others.
good gameplay but the command interface: not so good.

Operation Desert Storm and Splinter Cell spoiled me. Ghost Recon suffers from a silly command interface. Trying to use it to direct troops into battle is just awkward. The actual gameplay is great, but I found myself leaving B squad at home during missions because it's a paintrying to command them, squad A, and accomplish missions.
Game might be good for multiple players but for a single person, bah. Better games with easier-to-use interfaces.
Graphics are decent - They resemble WWII Online.
Excellent squad based shooter game

1. Realistic ability to use supressive fire vs. direct engagements.
2. Movement to contact allows for you to get dropped without EVER seeing what hit you.
3. Fairly decent communications between team members, i.e. the person behind you will actually say he (or she) is there.
4. M-203 doesn't have the realistic "FOOMP" sound but does impact with nearly the same sound.
5. No M-4's or M-14's available so you're stuck with the M-16A2 that only has Semi-auto and three-round-burst.
6. Snipers do not have any medium range SILENCED rifles.
7. Trees and bushes are still 2D'ish'.
Overall, the game is great and the graphics are really good. I do wish they had adopted part of the flexiblity allowed in the SEGA Dreamcast version where the player is not limited to what types of weapons "packets" they carry. Great game that allows you to revisit levels. The bad guys are USUALLY in the same place but if you play it enough, the game gets wise to what you're up to and changes where the enemy is hiding out.
This game was awful

This game should never have been made. I rateit as follows.
graphics- 7
Story line- 7
everything else- 1
I give microsoft credit for the graphics and for the sweet story line, but every otherpart of this games is awful. To start off you can't see anything in this game. I beat the game and only had to shoot 10 people. my team of 6 did everything before i got a chance to. I would be walking a long and one of my guys would shoot a bad guy that i could see on my screen. I had to walk around with zoom on the entire time just so i could kill one guy. the guns on the other hand were pretty cool but they were almost to realistic. i liked halo where i could pick up guns as i went along. in this game the guns i start wiht are the guns i keep for good. another thing that stinks is getting shot. unlike halo where you have a sheild in this game if you get shot once you are dead. i recomend this game if you are into intense strategy/realistic shooter games...
pretty terrible

I recently bought this game and was quite impressed with the graphics and realism. while the AI are rather stupid, they will ambush you if you dont check you're surrondings carefully. I do not know why people think this game is easy, becuase for once it is a game where you cant run around with a machinegun wasting ammo and expect to kill someone and then pick up his gun or ammo. another little flaw i found though was that the AI will sometimes keep flooding from one area even when there is a large pile of dead bodies.
i have not played this game with Xbox live or with more than 2 players, but i think its safe to say that co-op is much easier and lets you relax more than in single player since both squads can be commanded. then you dont have to worry as much in the harder missions with tons of soldiers.
the realism of this game is incredible. not only are the Tom Clancy games the only games i know of that you will be dropped with one or two shots, plus there is the possibility that you will run out of ammo. This game is therefor better than Bond games, Halo, and any other game that you can kill and take ammo. but a fault in the realism is that while enemies will shoot from long range, you're team members will usually wait until they can take the enemy down with one or two shots, and not waste any ammo. i find this annoying when i'm fighting off about 5 russians that are long range and my guys wont shoot!
AI: although the AI are generally stupid some times, they can be smart. occasionally i will walk into an opening in trees, or into a patch of bare ground and a bunch of enemy soldiers will jump out and be from generally all directions.
conclusion: this game is by far the best first person shooter ever made!
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME

one of the worst games i've played. Rented it from blockbuster. Very glad I didn't actually buy. Played it for 20 minutes and couldn't believe how bad it is. Ubi Soft made a great game with splinter cell but not sure what they were thinking with this one.
Too easy

Instead of proceeding on to more difficult challenges as the game progresses, the game presents a difficult mission followed by several relatively easy missions. Did not play the game much but was easily able to finish it. I have never played the game with XBox live so I can't comment about whether that makes the game more fun or play last longer.
I want to give this game a higher rating but...

Anyone familiar with Tom Clancy games know what they're getting into when purchasing one.... having said that let's dive right into the review:
GR is a squad-based FPS in the same genre as the Rainbow 6's.
Graphics: Here is where the game really lacks.. If you're accustomed to Xbox graphics being astounding you're going to receive a mild-to-serious shock. The graphics look playstation one-ish. This might have something to do with the fact that there are so many playable characters on the playing field at any given time. However, the graphics are a hindrance to gameplay. Even with snipers with powerscopes, it is very difficult to determine what an enemy is and what is a rock. This can be super-frustrating b/c after you shoot the rock three or five times, the enemy will be alerted and you'll end up killing off a whole team.
Gameplay: Despite the shoddy graphics, the gameplay is solid. You really do feel like you're leading this squad of elite commandos. You get to give orders and command a squad to cover you, do recon, or get to an objective with reckless abandon (the latter is not recommended).
Sound: Nothing too spectacular... the usual rattatta of machine gun and your grunts giving short and choppy statements.
Replay factor: on Xbox Live this game must be amazing!! Too bad I do not have Xbox Live.. but there is some solid replay factor in the fact that there are weapons that you can unlock!!
All-in-all an entertaining game with average-to-poor graphics...

WHEN I WENT TO NEW YORK CITIE FOR VACATION I WAS LOOKING IN A GAME STORE AND FOUND THIS GAME. IT LOOKED PRETTY GOOD SO I THOUGHT I WOULD GET IT.
PROS:
EVEN THOUGH MANY PEOPLE SAY THE CONTROLS ARE HARD TO GET A HANG OF I DISAGREE. I DO RECOMEND JUST DO A HEAD TO HEAD BATTLE WITH YOUR SELF TO PRACTICE THE CONTROLS.ALSO THE GRAPHICTS ARE VERY WELL DONE. THEVIOLANCE KS VERY REALISTIC ALONG WITHTHE SOUNDS. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR VIOLANCE LOOK NO FURTHER. IN THIS GAME YOUR CHARECTER CAN EATHER STAND, NEAL, OR CRALL AND STILL BE MOBILE. LASTLY YOU CAN HAVE A MULTIPLAYER CAMPAIN.
OVERALL THIS IS THE 4TH BEST GAME I HAVE BEHIND BOTH HALO'S AND THE SIMPSONS HIT AND RUN.
