This game was awesome, but honestly not much of a challenge to beat. Replay value would get 2-3 stars. You could rent this and beat it in 3 or 4 days maybe sooner if you had time on your hands.
Fun but way too short

For what little was there, it was a fun game to play. Sadly though the entire experience was incrediably short!!! That and the voice acting was horrible... I couldn't stand the accents and I certainly couldn't stand my wife's voice in the game.. ugh!
Aside from that though, it's certainly worth a go for the bargin price!
Do what you want when you want!

I first heard about this game way back when it was just an insider rumor for a possible massive RPG. Then there was talk about a launch title for XBox, then the holidays of the next year... and so on. FINALLY this game went gold and I've been waiting in deep anticipation the entire year. I picked it up today, and I've put four hours into it already. The interaction level of this game is really quite breathtaking. Few games reach the depth this one does, not only with the main character, but with the citizens of the world as well. I first expected this to be a true RPG, but I'd say its more an Adventure/RPG mix, which they do really well in this title. The skill system is fun to play around with, and the advancement leads to balanced characters, which makes the game fun. I first wanted a true melee character, but as points become very expensive for the strength field, the will field starts to become enticing, and leads to some fun combat when you blend the magic with the melee. The combat system is what I'm really impressed with. In a game that holds a lot of really decent RPG qualities, I did not expect such an action oriented fight system. This may turn off some of the true RPG players, as its not turn based combat at all, but once you get used to it I believe it adds a new level of fun that future RPG games might take notice of. The good/evil storyline also adds a level of fun to the game. The first character I created I decided to go along the good path with, and the game gets interesting when you get to make choices between staying good, or straying to the evil side. Of course every game, even the greats, have some drawbacks. The game seems a little to main quest oriented to be as in depth as some RPGs, however it does suit the game pretty well. The loading for each screen you move to is somewhat annoying at times, but when you take in to account the graphic detail and overall beauty of the game you can definitely look past this small problem. Some of the twists that develop in the story line are amusing, and the story itself is pretty amazing. This game reminds me a lot of Ocarina of Time. My main problem with that game was the lack of depth (but yes, it was on a 64 bit console). This game takes that flow and feeling and adds a lot of things to it that make the game feel more intense, and a lot deeper. Overall, I'm happy with every cent I paid for the game, and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an action/adventure game with an RPG feel. I'm generally let down when a game comes out that doesn't have the same feeling as I thought it would, but this just impressed me even more than the pre-release reviews I read and the original concepts I heard oh-so-many years ago. I think this game will open a giant gateway into the future development of new games in its genre. Think Morrowind, however not as massive, but better fighting/graphics/and citizen interaction. I'm looking forward, with fingers crossed, to an even better sequel. Five stars, hands down.
So Freaking Easy

Let me start by saying...I am not an RPGer...the only RPGs I've ever played have been Knights of the Old Republic I and II...I completed both, but after much online research when I would get stuck.
Fable was hyped by some as "the greatest RPG ever made"...and...since I did enjoy the two Star Wars ones, I figured...hey...whatever...
I beat the game in a day (okay...it was a looooong day) without ever referencing the net. What I discovered was that the game basically laid out hints for you...if a piece of armour is in the water and you can't figure out how to get it out and you open a chest...there is a fishing pole...if you can't figure out how to beat someone, just remember that there was a bow that you picked up right before the battle...
*Spoiler*
The Arena scene was especially contrived. You are supposed to make this life changing decision over whether or not you kill Whisper or let her live. But the game gives you very little character development for Whisper...there is no emotion in this scene...I chose to kill her and received an extra 10,000...I have no idea what happens if you let her live, but since you fight her at every point in the storyline, why would you have any emotion? And her brother vows revenge on you...but never takes it...
Sorry to say

This game is alright I suggest getting Oblivoin for computer or xbox 360
But if you must have this game you should pick up Fable the lost chapters wich does make the game better but normal fable sucks it finished the story in 8 hours even with side quest. Oh and for who think that after beating it you will get to play on are wrong, well mostly.
After beating the game I find out that there is absolotly nothing to do
So If U realy want this game get the expantoin versoin wich has both games fable and the expantoin Because if you pick up this game.get ready to be dissapointed
