The best game ever for the XBox console.

This game is at the top of the list, there is no better game for overall game play and re-play value, the original was a classic, but the Lost Chapters and all the additional content makes this the best game for the console.

This game was very fun. It gives you a lot of options and choices which affect you later on. There are different skills and upgrades to aquire. I would recommend purchasing this game.

Makes me want to buy an XBox 360 just to play the sequel

I love this game. It's great for those like me, who don't have super coordination, and the ability to remember all of these complex multi-button actions. It is also really enjoyable for experienced game players as well. The only qualm I had was that I wasn't allowed to to play as my own gender, a girl. Which they have now fixed in the sequel! I would definitely recommend it. I haven't play the original Fable, so I can't tell you if this one is better. All I can say is that I've definitely found it worth the price.

Like I stated, Fable is crammed with gameplay.
The game starts with you, as a young boy, who witnesses his village burn, and the inhabitants slaughtered. It is then that you will be saved by a powerful mage, and begin your training in the Hero's Guild.
Once you come of age, what will you do? Will you venture out as a bloodthirsty demon, and exact your revenge on those who wronged you? Or will you choose the light side, and help those in need. Fable offers Light and Dark options, with many shades of Gray in-between.
In short, Fable is a top-notch RPG with tons of replay value. I reccomend it to ANYONE with an Xbox and a few months to burn.

Great game, lots to do!

I downloaded this on my Xbox 360 through the Xbox Live because I had some credits I had to use. I was hoping this game would be good and boy was I surprised. It is a really fun game. From the first time I started it and accidentatly farted on the game (first time I seen a game do this!) to becoming a full fledge hero everything about it was pretty amazing. I do highly recommend this game and relate it to the "Zelda" franchise but it's Microsofts version. I know it's NOT zelda, don't flame my review. But it does have similar characterisitcs. Definitly try it if you want to stay occupied and have some fun!

I keep on coming back for more . . .

This is my absolute favorite game for the X Box (please forgive me, Halo lovers). I literally get it out every few months and play a campaign or two on it before I play any other game on X Box. As it says in the description, you can choose to be good or evil or walk between the two. I seem to always feel bad after a few hours of starting an 'Evil' campaign, so my character is always good by the end of the game. I just love the way the halo looks on his head and his eyes turn this beautiful shade of blue (if he's extremely good, his footprints are blue too). On the other (dark) side, his eyes are red and glowy and his footprints are red and grows horns (Hellboy style).

My favorite addition to the game (from Fable to Fable: Lost Chapters) is probably the sweet new abilities you can learn. I love the Steal Life spell. I'm also a really big fan of the Chicken hat you can win on the Chicken Kickin' Game.

I'd recommend this game to anyone with an X Box and for $10, it's a steal.

this is a very good game i like that its very realistic like the laws and such. speaking of i got in a "little tussle" with the gaurds i'll tell you about that in a second what i mean by realistic is all the stuff you get to do like getting new nicknames becoming good or evil helping people and earning gold for it going on those cool little quests and all the cool fighting and stuff the only reason for the slightly less than perfect score is because of two things one:every once in a while the game just shuts of two:thats really annoying when the guild master starts talking to you through your guild seal interupting your quests.about the guards i walked into a house went to a book shelf pressed A near it and a picture of a book popped up since there was no other option i had to steal it on my way out i tresspassed then trying to hit the gaurds i hit a lady then i had to run out of town.overall very good game microsoft is going to have to work pretty hard to make Fable 2 even better.

What can I say, this game is fantastic. I know, some people say that the story is too short but if you spend time exploring all the little secrets (demon doors, silver keys/chests, optional quests, hidden puzzles and items, marriage) hidden away in the world of Fable you can easily squeeze 25-30 hours from the game. The price right now is a bargain too. Buy it, you won't regret it!

Wish I didn't play the original to death

I loved this game I really did, everything would have been ten times better though if they just released this content with the original game.

Amazing game if you don't expect it to change your perception of reality...

I see alot of bad reviews for this game because "it's too hard to stray from the path." "It's not what was promised." etc. The fact is, although it didn't fully live up to its promises, it still made good on a lot of them. I hand it to Lionhead for being ambitious. Most developers stick with a tried and true formula that works, rarely trying to really push the way games are played.
Final Fantasy for instance... Don't get me wrong, as far as RPGs go Final Fantasy set the bar. I'm a huge fan of the series, the only problem is, they rarely do anything wildly different. The stories and characters change a little, they add a few new facets here and there, but it's never anything revolutionary and it's generally the same formula every time.
I agree, they probably shouldn't have promised things until they knew they could pull it off for sure, but that doesn't mean we should so easily forget about the promises they made good on. I'm rating Fable for what it is. A great RPG with a strong replay value. The story is intriguing (even though it's not terribly complex) the environments are well done and varied. As far as side missions and character customization, there's a lot to do. Furthermore, there's alot of room for playing how you want. You can be more of a Ranger type, or a Mage, or a Warrior or just mix it up for whatever the situation calls for.
It's a great game but with all games some people love it, and some people hate it. Most will at the very least enjoy it.
