The stupid reviewers that 1) commented on the graphics or 2) commented on the lacking single player - the graphics are incredible, better on the PC version which is what i bet you hear about, but still BEAUTIFUL. Yes its frantic, its Unreal not Halo. And the single player is thrown in for people with fewer controllers or no friends, its not the meat of the game. 4 player shines, Live is incredible. I bought this game and got much more than its price tag worth of fun.

If you are a Halo lover, this game will suck. It is so fast paced, u feel like a chicken with his head cut off. There are no cool vehicles like Halo either. Overall, the Live feature and solid graphics are its only redeeming values.
I've now actually purchased Unreal Championship fodr XBOX...

...And it's great. Unreal Championship for the XBOX is just like UT2003 for the PC. Overall, graphics quality is decent, or at least the lightning effects are. But texture quality is amazing. Animation quality is OK. And the audio quailty is good. The game play is fun. Multiplayer is good, the only thing that bothers me about it is there is only system link support play and XBOX live support, no single TV multiple controller support. And the frame rates get quite laggy in UC for XBOX. The level design and game types are overall good. But UC's music tracks aren't perfect, and it gets very laggy in game play.(I already said that, didn't i?) Well, I can say that UC will be the biggest DM game type XBOX LIVE game for a long time....very long time! UC is quite gory like UT2003 is. The Rest of the content type is decent. I'd recommend UC for some gamers on the XBOX. It's an OK additon to your XBOX libary of games. Hhmm...I'll stay tuned into UC for now...:/.

Unreal is by far the BEST first person multiplayer shooter on any next-gen console! I know that many people may disagree with me, but in my opinion this smokes Halo and many other dozens of FPS that I've played or own on Xbox, PS2, and Gamecube. The best part about this game is that it's only a measly $20!!! If I would have paid $50 for it, I would have been completely satisfied down to every penny. I'm basing this review on XBOX LIVE, that's the ONLY way to play it. This is not a good game to get if your looking for a single player FPS, it's made only for multiplayer. If this game isn't in your collection, you're missing out big time!

I need to start this review with the positives of this game.
1. The graphics are quite beautiful
2. The environments were well designed and there are plenty of exotic locales
3. The speed of the game is wonderful. An adrenaline rush.
4. The types of games are standard and fun to play
However: There are some very huge pieces missing
1. Some of the environments will only support a particular number of participants. I would rather have the suggested number of participants per map, be just that a suggestion.
2. The biggest problem of all. No 4 player split-screen on a single X box. And this one will translate into lost dollars for Atari, EPIC, and Digital Extremes for the following segments:
- Those who own an xbox but hadn't planned on buying Unreal
- Those who do not own an xbox yet
Without this mode they in effect have cut off the ability to have the most effective market campaign work for them - word of mouth through an introduction by a currently satisfied customer.
- Atari and company have limited themselves to a percentage of the current population for the xbox (last numbers that I've seen were around 4 Million). We can remove the people of the current population of whom do not play first person shooters (assumed experiment 20%). We are now down to 800,000. Let us say that 10% of that population isn't aware of Unreal. Now we have 720,000 persons in this population. And of this population only half are interested enough in buying the game. We are now left with 360,000.
You may say well that's not too bad $... ($.../per game sold). But this revenue number has to include production, marketing, and distribution costs worldwide. This number becomes really small after you add these costs in.
What does split screen enable Atari and company to do? Viral marketing of sorts. Anyone of the 360,000 who own an X box with a copy of Unreal should be able to introduce 3 other people of the 360,000 that were not originally going to buy the game to the very strong graphics, gameplay and fun of Unreal. (Halo does this perfectly). Now this is where system link comes in to play. Now that one of the three is sold on the game he will buy it to link is xbox and play against a group of friends. An additional sale was made that was not projected created because of the 4 player split screen functionality.
The migration goes like this:
1. Split screen first - an introduction (cheapest)
(One TV - One Xbox)
2. System Link - a LAN party, with social tones
(Two TVs - TWO Xboxes - up to whatever game limit)
3. Online Live - a different social experience (most expensive)
(Mulitple TVs - Multiple Xboxes - Multiple Live subscriptions)
I can not take this game and introduce it to anyone else to show how cool it is. Therefore unreal championship might get people who play FPS's (~50)and have an Xbox by Xbox live (~$...) and continual subscription fees (~$...) - .... in all. But it will not pull people to buy an xbox ($...), Unreal ($...), Xbox live ($...), and subscription fees ($...) - ... dollars in all.
Halo is a top selling game with no Xbox Live capabilities. I am not saying that Unreal can be a Halo, but don't cut off the possibilities.

Look I love Halo and this game.. but they ar not alike and niether are they supposed to be. Unreal is much faster and online with xboxlive. Going on this game with xboxlive is the coolest thing ive done in a long time in video games.(Playing CS) This game rules go out and get it along with xbox live.( Xbox live requires an Xbox(if u dont have one nows is deffently the time)and a broadband connection like dsl or cable) If you need an xbox and broadband got to speakeasy.com they have an incredable deal.

This game is full of action, but it has a few dissapointments. Still, I would buy this game, because it's a lot of fun, expecially with more people.
