This game is grat in single player, and totally awesome on xbox live! The graphics are great, there are tons of player to choose from each having their own good qualities. There are plenty of maps to play on, and plenty of gametypes, my favorite is ctf. The controls are easy to use, and it is easy to find a reasonable server, becuase it gives server rating while you are server surfing. Some weapons are real easy to use, but the easier it is to aim/use the weaker it is.
I love this game!!
get xbox live if you plan to get this!!!
The best Xbox Live game yet!!!

First time I played this game, I went straight to Live play. And I did not like it at all. It just seemed like senseless killing with absolutely no point. Then I tried the single player mode. It helped me ease my way into this game and reduced the learning curve immenseley. Now, I only played Team Deathmatch mode in single player before I had to return it (it was a rental), and that was the only mode of play I could get into. So maybe if I played the the other modes offline I would have enjoyed them more. Nonetheless, Team Deathmatch was still more fun than any other Live game, once you get into it. To me, it felt like some kind of extreme basketball game where instead of getting points you had to kill. At one point when we were winning we all decided to get together and find a hiding spot. I had never experienced such levels of teamwork in any Live game, even Ghost Recon (the fact that you have to press the white button to to talk leaves many players mute)!
Also, no other Live game takes advantage of the service better than this game. It has better than average Quick Match and Optimatch features, player rankings, 4 player guest support, downloadable content (coming soon...), and more!!! It will be a long time before another game uses Live as well as this one.
Though you really need to play aat least a little bit of the single player mode first, I don't reccomend this game to anyone who doesn't have Xbox Live. Otherwise, this is definately the game to get with your XBL Starter Kit, especially if you want to show off ALL the features the service offers. Once you get into it, it is just endless fun.
Not enough depth, but kinda fun

I have Mechassault and Unreal Championship for XBL. I play MechAssault 90% more of the time because it's more interactive. Unreal is not as interative. I can blow up buildings and bolders, and cars in Mechassault, but I can only run around killing another player in this game. I like it for what it's worth, but not really worth my time to play. I wanted a shooter, and couldn't find Halo anywhere, so I opted for this, and plus it was Live enabled...but...not worth it in my estimation.
Unreal is Really Fun!

This is a awesome fps. The graphics are great and this game is one of the best multiplayer games. So many good weapons and so many interesting looking characters. This is very addictive and you can play forever. The campaign is cool because you can do different types of games like Capture the flag and Bombing Run. This is a MUST BUY! I MEAN COME ON, YOUR ON AMAZON! BUY IT!

Great game. For two player split screen, the second player just needs to hit start button.
Excellent graphics. OK single player. Great for Xbox Live

Unreal Championship is a great vehicle to showcase the graphic capabilities of widescreen HDTV (if you own one). The various indoor and outdoor environments are all well throught-out, and some are beautiful.
Unreal Championship is superb on Xbox live and seems designed expressly for this platform. The every-man-for-himself Deathmatch becomes tiresome quickly, but the team-based games like Capture the Flag are totally engaging. I'll play for two hours straight without realizing it! The single-player game is not particularly captivating in and of itself, but is useful as a tutorial for the Live game.
Some tips: Slowing the gameplay down to 75% makes the game more enjoyable for beginners. Decreasing the X and Y axis weapon-aiming sensitivity is also helpful. Multiplayer action on a single Xbox machine is activated by plugging in multiple controllers in the "instant action" mode. This is not explained in the manual, which has several omissions.
a XBOX LIVE must title!!!

If you have XBOX live and you love FPS games, this game is a must. This game is even more addicting than it's counterparts UT and UT2k3 on the PC. With UC and LIVE, you can communicate by voice to your teammates. Great visuals and fast addictive action is what to expect when you you take this game online!
Something to do until Halo 2

Not a bad game, but not as great as Unreal Tournament 2003 for the PC either. If you don't have Xbox Live, don't even bother with this game. If you do have Live, then this makes for some fun online play. However, it doesn't look quite as good as UT2003 on PC, but the lag also isn't usually as bad either. For now, it's not a bad choice for the Live enabled. But it's no Halo 2.
there was so much hype, for nothing

Never compare this game to halo. This game bored the hell out of me. I bought it for xbox live. Played it for a couple of hours, and traded it in for mechassault. I tried really hard to like this game, but the more I played it the more I hated it. If you are interested at all in this game, go out rent it first.
