Unreal Xbox Live with voice is great fun to play.
Lots of variety: tons of characters to pick from, each with different strengths/weaknesses such as different starting weapons, different run speeds, jump hights, starting health, ...
And a good selection of very nice maps.
And a variety of nice weapons.
And great play modes, so far my favorite is double domination where your team has to control two locations for 10 seconds to score.
The ease of jumping into a game and using voice is a marvel and really adds to the game.

If you want to play an online FPS, in my opinion this is the best option out there, especially if you take into consideration the price.

Pro's
- Fast game play.
- a good dedicated server really can host 12 people with all of the weapons being effective(high bandwidth).
- Multiple game types
--Death match (kill every one)
--Survival (one on one fighting in various arena's)
--Team death match (kill the other team)
--Capture the flag (lots of fun)
--Bombing run (a whole new twist to a first person shooter)
-Contrary to some peoples belief, once you gain a certain amount of proficiency with the controls, team work can become quite important
-Broad range of character types and weapons to fit different playing styles. Every weapon in this game is useful, and every character type can cause different problems for players.(though some weapon character type combinations don't work out to be real effective.
-With the fact you are playing against other people strategies are still being developed. (Though strategies don't help as much when you are playing people who are just to good to be believable)

Con's
- Single player rates only 3 stars
- Steep learning curve. As a novice, if you join a game of experienced players you most likely won't get a single kill. I have yet to see a day where there were not at least a few novice games going on
--Learning to use the shock rifle and lightning gun in a slightly laggy game is a challenge. The more lag there is the less use those two weapons have
--Sequel coming out might lessen the number of people to play with. At this point, I have yet to sign on and not been able to find some game type with people actively playing, at a skill level I can enjoy the game. Though 6:30 in the morning CST can be pretty slow

I just bought this game today... because I heard it was a very good shooter game. I already have Halo and Ghost Recon which are great. But unlike Halo and Ghost Recon this game has no story at all. The only reason to buy this game is for the multiplayer. I've heard it is one of the greatest Xbox Live games out there. I wouldn't doubt it, but I can't afford a cable modem. The single player that is on this game is basically training for multiplayer and Live. There is no plotline, which is one of the greatest things about Halo. When I started playing the single player, it was like a multiplayer game with bots. I'm probably going to end up selling this game and saving up for Splinter Cell, which is a much better game.

unless you have xbox live, and can find a open game, this game is no better than a coaster, ok 2 points for graphics, But where is the plot? what is the point of playing? senseless violence? they could have at least thrown some form of story in this game, i mean yeah, deathmatch can be fun but it gets old fast. most FPS have gaping plot holes in their stories, this one doesnt, because there is no plot, so in summary if you want senseless violence that goes down no path, get this game, otherwise i would reccomend waiting for halo 2 or get brute force

I realy enjoy this game, the non-stop action, the frantic pace, the character variety, the beautiful graphics, and on-line play are all great... however there are a few downfalls. The first thing you will notice is the load times are just long enough to be pretty annoying. Secondly the menu screens could have been more user friendly. It would also be nice to set up a quick pre-game profile before playing an "Instant Action" game. There are a couple of other things that I don't like, but all in all, this game is worth the money. Another thing: I frequently have the urge to press B for a melee attack or the Left Trigger to lob a grenade, its pretty annoying, but thats just me.

This game is one of my favorites. There are plenty of well designed maps with more availible to download off of xbox live which you can also go against other people on Xbox live. The weapons are very detailed. The controls are very easy to master. One of the very best things there are about this game is that you and add "mutations" on to each of the games which A "mutation" is a change to the game for example one of the mutations you can pick from is Low Gravity which explains itself. The only thing I dont like about the game is that you pick only one chacter for your profile but dont worry there are plenty of people you can choose from each one with thier pros and cons.

If you are getting xbox live, this is a must have. I have played the other UNREAL games and they are all great, especially Unreal Tournament.....
I just have to say, this game is for someone who is getting xbox live.... If you arent, I wouldnt bother with it... For the rest of is, this game is gonna be Unreal Tournament 20 times better.

Rented the game, had a good time with it. Bought the game, bored with it. Graphics are done very well, but still graphics can only go so far. Not to much to do after you beat it and demolish your opponents online. It would have been cool if it had all of the options of HALO's multiplayer mode, and the maps were bigger.
