I think this game is great. Seriously. You don't have a pink lightsaber pemanently stuck in your little papre-mache guy's (?) still-flat hand. You might not even use one at all (Like my sister). You can't just hack up the planetside and keep your jedi status, your friends will speak up if they don't like something, or keep you from doing it altoghether ("I'm going to kill the waitress!" "No you aren't!"). But the best part. The PLOT!. Yes, this one has a plot! A verry good one that isn't linear (Hey, Bastila's in the cinimatic! Didn't I kill her before?). Your choices in the beginning (And middle, and end.) Effect the endgame in ways you never thought possible (Agh! That midget I pushed off the cliff was YODA? ARGH!). It's almost like real life. Except real life is way too boring... Overall, buy this game. You'll regret it if you don't, and the value goes to $100k or so...
A Superb Star Wars Game !

Its gameplay is okay and it has a good plot but it disipointed me in the fact that you cant control youre fighting you just watch youre character get his ass kiked. Also i was looking foward to getting the lightsaber and fighting with it, but it sucks. you cant chop any1 in half (one of my favs in all other star wars games) and a f**king dagger can block your lightsaber beacause of its metal. Overall I'd say this game has an okay plot but if youre looking for a good fighting star wars games like me i suggest you skip this and go to Jedi academy which is my favorite game of all time
This is probably the WORST game I've ever played!!

I am a fan of Star Wars games. I like Jedi Starfighter, Starfighter Special Edition, Clone Wars, Jedi Outcast and Obi-Wan. They were all good. When this came out, I thought it would be the best, but no. You can't even fire the gun when you want to. You have to wait for a 'target' to come up and then you can shoot, but when you press attack, it aims and fires for you. Talk about fun. The whole thing is practicly a movie. All you do is equip the guy and press the action button, that's it. Really boring and frustrating. NO FREEDOM like in Obi-wan or Clone Wars where you could go ANYWHERE and shoot ANYTHING. So don't listen to those losers who write awesome reviews before the game comes out. Listen to someone who has the game and don't make the mistake that I made of wasting my money on this JUNK. DON'T BUY THIS GAME!!!
Most overrated game EVER!!

First, the game does not let you control the combat or fighting at ALL! all you do is pick which enemy you want to target and the system fights it for you. OH BOY HOW FUN!! you want to go through a door, you have to switch characters and use the other character. why bother? if the game is going to make you switch characters just to open a door then you switch back, why not let you open it yourself? hmmm..pointless. Don't bother with this game, get jedi academy or prince of persia instead. waste of $50.

That's Basically What This Game Is. Don't Get Me Wrong This Game is Fun To Play, But Isn't Really That Entertaining. When you Come into a Battle The Computer Fights for you and That Kind of Takes The Fun Away. Amazon States That This Game "Has A Star Wars Feel" That is Completely False! Who Cares What Happened 1000 Years ago in That Galaxy Far Far Away. The Graphics Are Allright But The Gameplay Gives You No Independence. The Sith Look Like Cylon Rip-Offs (If you don't Know What a Cylon is Go to Imdb.com and Type in Battlestar Galactica) This Game is Okay and Will Kill Time But As For Me, Give Me a N64 and Shadows of The Empire Anyday.

This game looked like it could be good, I wanted it to be as good as everyone says, and the star wars feel was definitely there (which boosted my rating), but there was something really missing in the gameplay of KOTOR. I despised the whole targeting/round combat system as I felt I was merely watching as opposed to playing the critical fights. I understand that the game engine is based on the dice system used in paper and pencil RPGs, but I felt it very quirky as a videogame engine to the point of being detrimental to the game's action. This system detached (instead of engrossed) me from wanting to play more of it.
However, the graphics, sound and music all seemed very well done, but I guess this game was not my cup of whiskey.
Addictive, fantastic, intriguing.....and pure Star Wars

This game is the best I have played in a long time...It is plain addictive...the story is intriguing, characters are interesting to the point you get to be fond of them and they were included in the Official SW databank (The HK protocol droid is just a blast). The sidequests are as interesting as the main story, giving more depth to the characters. And one of the most important things...the game is loooong....I ended up with almost 40 hours of gameplay, lasted for a bit more than 3 weeks (of intensive play, as intensive as it can get for working engineer with a girlfriend...I played this every free minute I had).
And another important thing....it has that special Star Wars feeling. You know you're playing in the Star Wars universe and everything in the game makes it feel that way.
At first I didn't like the turn based combat system...as I played along I started enjoying the strategy of it and found it to be a different kind of fighting, but also enjoyable.
This is a definite must buy, although with a warning: If you do not like deep storytelling or RPG style games it may not be the game for you. If you're more into bashing enemies, jumping, swinging, climbing and getting frustrated for not being able to defeat nearly impossible bosses, do not buy this game. But if you're open minded, give it a shot, cause it is a great game.
Good but hard

This game has a great story and some fun goals but this game is also very hard. It takes up a lot of time on your schedule. The RPG battles are pretty simple and stupid. The graphics are normal but the cutscenes have bad graphics. Overall this game is stunning and one of the best star wars games but make sure you are willing to play for a long time cause this game is pretty long and pretty hard
For All RPG Lovers and All Lovers of the Star Wars Genre

KOTOR, as it is refered to, is by far the best series of Star Wars gaming that has so far been created. Some may say that it's not long enough, but KOTOR is deep enough to really emerse yourself on days of SciFi fantasy. When I bought it for the full $50.00, I was completely enthralled with the game. Geez, for less than $20.00 it is a complete steal.
As is the case with many RPGs, the play value is in the story, the characters, and the quest, and in these aspects, KOTOR is great. The graphics are not as varied nor outstanding as I know they could have been on a system as powerful as the Xbox, and as you move through the optional quests, some tasks may seem redundant at times, but as any RPG player knows, part of the gaming includes tasks that become redundant as they become more familiar.
The light/dark side meter, based on your choices and actions, gives the game at least 1 full replay. Everyone will want to choose to be both the dark side and the light side, and stealing, killing, aiding, etc. are easy to choose or not choose.
Emerse yourself in a great buy!
