AWESOME GAME!

This game has outstanding graphics and great 3-D gameplay, plus you can really battle it out online or in instant action. To add to the few, you can play in the Clone Wars or the Galactic Civil War, the bad thing though is that in the Clone Wars the main battles are on Naboo, to be honest the Clone Wars started on Geonosis and are in Episode II not I. I love this game because you can use guns and other awesome weapons, and you can also play as the wookies, clones, droids, rebels, and Imperials. If you are a beginner video game player or new to Star Wars when you choose "CREATE FILE" try using easy. This game follows the movies really well and you can explore Mos Eisley or maybe Naboo if you like. The more battles you win, the bonuses you get. If you read the Instruction Booklet it says if you go on a Killing Spree against the enemies you get a really cool bonus. I Highly Recommend this game to all Star Wars fans! The game will let you play the most greatest battles of all time. So, if you want a good long-lasting game try this, I really hope Star Wars fans will love the game. Multi-Player mode is great and I really enjoy playing it. This game is great and I love it. Try playing it for yourself! I am about to wrap this review up so listen, THAT THIS GAME IS GREAT FOR THE XBOX AND HAS TERRIFIC GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES THAT YOU WILL WANT TO PLAY IT ALL THE TIME EVEN THOUGH IT IS ONLINE OR SINGLE-PLAYER YOU CAN STILL HAVE FUN AND KNOW IT IS ALL OUT STAR WARS ACTION! Fun, but not what you think

First off, let's make this clear, STAR WARS BATTLEFRONT is not a real First-Person Shooter (FPS) -- not in the way of HALO, DOOM, or RAINBOW SIX. It's more like the Dynasty Warriors-hack-and-slash version of a FPS with just a dash of (just a little) strategy.

It is a really fun game when you enter an all-out war filled with hundreds of soldiers (mostly controlled by the AI + whatever players have joined in) and anything goes. Wonder how movie heroes walk through a battlefield and not get attacked every second or see an attack from behind. Now you know. Strategy also helps (staying back and sniping 70 people may not win the day)

The graphics are nice, the controls a little clunky but otherwise it's a great game. Just don't expect anything like Halo or Halo 2 because it's not that kind of game. If you are looking for that, better skip over this and get the upcoming STAR WARS REPUBLIC COMMANDO.

The concept behind this game is great, allowing you to play on the side of the Rebel Alliance, Galactic Empire, Republic, or CIS. However, Lucas Arts stumbled as soon as it took the game from concept to product. The single player is boring, poorly executed and is incredibly easy, even on the hardest difficulty setting. The multiplayer (over X-Box Live) is not much better. I experienced a great deal of lag, drops, and waiting, even on a fast cable line. The graphics are passable and the sound is adequate.

Once again, Lucas Arts has released a mediocre game, depending upon the Star Wars franchise alone to make the game profitable. Please, spend your gaming money elsewhere. Eventually, Lucas might get the hint.

Iam am very surprised that someone else didnt make a game like Starwars Battlefront, Its very fun and addicting indeed. First off if you think this game wouldnt be much fun before you tried it think again.
I mean who doesnt want to play with tons of diffrent soilder including soildiers from the empire republic the rebels and sepritist. Each of these has there own favorite characters, For the Empire you get a guy who has a jet pack which you can shoot up really fast and pop down behing some one and shoot them with your shotgun laser gun.
for the republic you get a guy like the empires that has a jet pack but doest shoot up really fast instead you get to control your guy when flying around he holds a lot of gerdades and has a missle laucher.
The rebels have the Wookies and he has a gerdade launcher that shoots gerdades, the Wookies in this game are very toufh and have mines.
The sepritist have the Destroyer droids you know the ones that look like a rolie pollie, they have rechagble shields and move fast only in that mode were the role, they can not order characters and carry gernades.
Cammand in over 20 vehlicals like the sepritist tanks, tie fighter xwings, and a asorment of turrets some big some small.
Fight battles in many diffrent worlds, like kaimino, tatooine,genoisis, Yavin 4, bespin (cloud city), Naboo, Hoth, ren var and more.
Fight with the ewokes and wookies, have a jedi master be on your side with your troops, like Darth Vader, Doouke,luke sky walker,
and mace windu. sadly you dont get to play them, but they are ivincble.
You can tell some of your troops what to do like follow you, or stay put, and move out. Have 200 to 250 of your guys on the battle field.

On the battle field it's huge and the maps are enormus.

Massive online battles.

only thing bad about the game is the compters or AI are kinda stupid you throw a gernade the will keep running at it and dont try to get away and take cover. Besides that its awsome!

Battlefield in a Star Wars setting

Star Wars Battlefront is pretty much the same thing as any of the Battlefield games: giant, open ended battles that have infantry and vehicle combat. You can play as the rebels, the empire, the republic or the trade federation droid army. It has five different infantry classes. They are assault, sniper, anti-vehicle, pilot and a unique unit for each army. The rebels unique units are wookiees, The empire has dark troopers, the republic has jet troopers, and the trade federation has droidekas (destroyer droids). The AI is good for the most part. They dive for cover when a grenade is thrown their way and they use vehicles well. However, the AI does have a few problems such as their weird urge to get to a gun turret. Tons of times I've seen one of my troops go running away from a firefight to get to the nearest turret when we needed him at the battle. Also, whenever your reinforcement count drops below twenty-five or so (right when your about to lose) , all of your troops jump out of their vehicles and refuse to get back in them, even when you order them to. Yes, that also includes the guys in aircraft as well. Every one of your troops in fighters and gunships jump out and fall to their deaths, which does not help your chances of winning. Other than that, this game is great. You can pilot tanks, speeders and the giant AT-AT, which can effortlessly crush the rebel defenses on the massive Hoth level. As for aircraft, you can fly the X-wing, Y-wing, Snowspeeder, TIE Fighter, TIE Bomber, Droid Starfighter, Droid Gunship, Jedi Starfighter and the Republic LAAT/i Gunship, which can hold a crew of five (pilot, wing turret gunner, left ball gunner, right ball gunner and a passanger). The aircraft are difficult to control at first, but they aren't too bad with practice. As for infantry combat, everything works smoothly. There is a grenade button and diving to the left or right to avoid enemy fire is easy. If you love Star Wars and games with chaotic, open ended battles, this is for you.

Star Wars Battlefront allows you to play as some of the best troops ever, such as the Rebel Alliance, Imperials, Republic, and CIS (Confederacy of Independent Systems). The 3-D graphics make it easier to enjoy; as well for sound and storyline. In Battlefront, you can not play as featured characters in the saga, but you get to fight alongside them in epic duels. Another disadvantage is you can't wield a lightsaber either. In Instant Action, you get to pick any location, and any side to fight for. You also have the choice to choose clone wars and galactic civil war.

As a matter of fact, you can drive vehicles, but no space combat! If you want to play on Episode III battlefields, your hopes are up. Only locations from episodes I, II, IV, V, and VI. There are numbers of areas to battle on. But for pros and cons, cons are going to have a hard time through the game such as: What type of soldier? Where is my command post? Where is my enemy at? For pros there is nothing wrong.

Star Wars battlefront is one of the best star wars games there is about Star Wars, along with the perfect gameplay, terrific graphics, and great sound. I highly recommend the game to any star wars buff's out there!

Get this game! You can download new levels and stuff on Xbox Live and play up to 32 players because of a new patch. The ship flying is awesome and the ground action is amazing. The guy who wrote the review below me said there is space battles, but sorry, there isin't. But you can still fly cool ships and most of the other Star Wars games you fly ships in space battles. And there is 20 different soldiers you can be ranging from clone troopers, scout troopers, to droidekas. SO GET THIS GAME!!!

first off i do not own the game have just rented it several times. I really want this game. it is great that you get to choose sides and not just play as the good guys. i love homing spider droids even though they are quite weak.

Battlefront was a sleeper hit of 2004. I bought it after playing with friends, and I've been playing it for a solid two months. I've bought several other games in the meantime (Halo 2, THUG 2, Call of Dut), but I keep revisiting Battlefront instead of all the others.

At first, I didn't want to buy Battlefront because I thought Rebel Strike was awful. I took it back in disbelief in 48 hours. Lucasarts has a tendency to take on too much in a game. Shooters that are flight sims, flight sims that are RPG's. Don't even get me started on the lame space battles in KOTOR! Battlefront, though does it all well. You control vehicles, you shoot as infantry, and they both work very well. The XWing and TIE are bit chucky, but they're fun additions.

The game isn't story driven at all; it's more like a first person shooter chess game. You battle for a planet and then move to the next. You don't play a character; instead, you pick a character class and play that class (snipers, heavy weapons, rifle men, pilots, wookies, dark troopers, droidikas, etc. All with different abilities). They all have excellent secondary weapons (in fact, two secondary and two primary weapons). The first time your sniper's probe droid calls in airstrike is a real treat.

You don't play jedi, just grunts. And it's fun. This game has simple controls; you learn it in about ten minutes and can play it well out of the box if you're good with shooters. The main thing I like about the game is if I want to play for three hours or for ten minutes, this game satisfies. This is in the top five games of the year for me. Buy it.

This was a great game. I first had it for the PC, a horrible and regrettable mistake, for the graphics were distorted and there was to much lag. When I bought it for XBOX, and turned on the console, I was amazed. There was so much detail, and the gameplay was faster and more playable. There are some CONS to this game too, such as you can only play as 20 different types of soldiers, the levels are too few and too limited, and you can't play as the Jedi Heroes that fight alongside you. The Co-op is a great feature that everyone should use. On the Historical campaign you both are on the same team, which In Galactic Conquest, a mode in which you go from planet to planet conquering everything in your path, and instant action mode, a mode where you can just choose which battle to fight, you can decide whether to be on the same or different teams. Overall, I am glad I bought this game for XBOX to add to my Star Wars Collection.
