Nothing New At All

If you own a favorite FPS then you will quickly tire of this game. My main issues are the menu are crap. Theres is no "lobby" such as GP2 or R6:BA. Hosting even a 4 player game with no bots from my dorm room (t1 equiv.) is even laggy. And why cant 'Heros' die??? Dont expect anything different. THeres no CTF or any 'game types' either.

Even though i got the first update so far it still freezes on a blue screen. If I wanted that I would have bought a PC CHip mobo and installed Mac OS on it.

The game play is great though. Starwars fans and non-fans will dig it. The music is cool as well. But they could have given us more than just run, shoot, crouch and jump. Dont get me wrong, the vehicles and such are great but youll quickly tire.

Id go with the PC version. Youll be dissapointed reguardless but at least its got better graphics .

Official Amazon Plug : Buy this game when you see it used on Amazon for less than twenty bucks.

I just tried this game on the official playstation demo disc on endor between the battle of the galactic empire and the rebel alliance. If the demo is good then the official game must be ten times better. I say get this game or at lease get the demo disc for it. It is the best of star wars based games i've seen.

Ive seen the trailers that have been circulating on the web on this game and i must say i need this game. The battles are HUGE and they look better than CS!
The multiplayer looks like Halo, with vehicles and people fighting in the same maps, sweet!

Im happy to see that Lucas Arst is finally making an online game for XBOX. The PC versions are awesome but there (...) since you have to pay every month???

Anyway, this is looking to be a great game, at least until NOVEMBER 09, 2004!!!!!

Im not a big star wars fan and the only star wars game im ever going to buy is republic commando my friend has this game and he plays it a lot but its horrible they totalay copied BATTLEFIELD 1942 which is a great game:
Pros:Some intense battles,real star wars vehicles and maps,o.k graphics
Cons:Horrible A.I (sometimes just stands there waiting to be shot),very few maps (compared to BATTLEFIELD 1942),bad map design,very closed in maps,no jedis,a bunch others

so if your a really hardcore starwars fan you might want to check this out if your not buy a game like BATTLEFIELD 1942

This game is the best Star Wars game since Star Wars Obi-Wan! Lucas Arts did a fantastic job on this game since the 3 DVD Movie Triligy came out. All I can say is "Bravo my friend, Jolly ol' show!"

First I was so excited to get this game and it says 120 stages and only played 12 stages whats wrong with lucas arts they told a fat lie man but if your a fan that like star wars but if you try it it only has 12 stages also I beat the whole game and you cannot I repeat cannot play as jedi and they are hard to kill this game is not fun.

Big Disappointment!!!

Like many other reviewers, I was pulled in by all the hype. "Play the battles from the movie", ha. Nobody wants to play some unknown rebel or storm trooper. You can only choose your side in certain parts of the game. I thought the aiming was terrible and when you did hit something/someone, I didn't get the feeling of really having blown them away. The battles are the same, well the ones I played as I traded it back in after a couple of days. I really was hoping to do battles from the movies I grew up watching. If you are hoping for that, it's not there. I can't liken this game to anything; it's just a great deal of running around, shooting with no satisfaction of accomplishing anything. Sure you're not really accomplishing anything play a video game, but you want the illusion that you are.

Disappointing...

I had high hopes from this game. I'm a big fan of Halo and Rainbow Six, and also a Star Wars fan. So I expected this to be awesome. I was wrong. This game isn't in the same class at all. What I liked was the music and scenes from the movies. The gameplay is poor. The voice communication, which is superb on Rainbow Six, is choppy and cuts out. This one will be collecting dust on my shelf for sure. My advice, rent this one first to see if you'll like it.

This game is the perfect star wars game.It really feels like you are in the battles now most of you are thinking Ill get the 2nd one well dont its not half as good as this one.
The Game offers huge maps coverd with enemys and allies duking it out all over the battlefield unlike the sequel the cps are smart not like the 2nd one when they refuse to obey orders and run into walls these guys however are smart they drive vehicles well and stick together

The Maps are gorges huge beautiful and look like the same places in the movie youll fight in places such as Jabbas palace Hoth Naboo and the city of Bespin which is my personal favorite and much much more. in galactic conquest you pick which planets to atack and each team has a power the imperiols will use the death star and blow a planet of the map and each planet has a power of its own such as jedi Hero Reanforcements and elite training and more.

this game is a perfect Star Wars game the only problem is no space battles but dont go crying to the second one because the space battles in that just arnt that great.

BUY THIS GAME!
