This game is the work of masters. It's orginal, creative, and fun to play. In this game your this punk named Joe who takes his girl-friend to a movie. When the movie is about to end the villian grabs Joe's girl-friend and takes her into the movie. Joe goes in too and gets super powers from the hero of the movie. Along the way you'll fight robots, slow and speed up time and even fight a clone of yourself. This game is almost like Enter the Matrix combined with Super Smash Bros. Melee and Blinx the Time Sweeper. Then once you beat the game as Joe you can even go back and replay the game as Joe's girl-friend. This game is the most orginal action/adventure/platformer game I have seen since Super Mario 64. If you liked Enter the Matrix and Super Smash Bros. Melee (and who didn't), your going to love this game. If you don't like this game then you have bad taste.

Viewtiful joe is one of the best games of the year,not only does it have stunning gameplay and grahics it has great boss battles and lots of cool combos you can slow time speed it up or zoom in on the action sure its short but its challinging best game cube game ever

this is a good game .when you beat kids mode you get a music video called viewtiful world. when you beat adult mode you get silva as a carater and he takes double damage. when you beat v-rated mode you get alsaterand when you beat ulta v-rated you get captain blue!!!!!!!!!!!!i can't wait untill viewtiful joe 2 comes out. but it will come out at december 1, 2004. it has more bad guys,silva can be played in the beginning, new backgrounds, and a new abillte called replay which lets you do triple the damage. so save up for viewtiful joe 2 or ask it for chrsmas

VJ is a great game, beutiful levels, great gameplay, great storyline what more do you want. The cell-shaded graphics work great with the game, you will love this game from start to finish.

It's been a long time since there's been a 2-D platformer on any system that's at the level of Viewtiful Joe. Not since the Super Nintendo days have I enjoyed a new 2-D platformer like this.

The presentation of this game alone suits the style and is entertaining. From the scratches on the "film" to the comic book style sound effects, the visuals are great. Joe moves incredibly smooth, especially once slow-mo is engaged in Zoom mode.

Linking combos in slow-mo is difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it, you start learning how you can use your opponents against themselves... that's when the super-hero fun begins. Everything is mapped perfectly to the controller to the point where every attack and super power is second nature.

The puzzles are great too... figuring out which power to use when, and what your powers do to certain objects is fun... from slowing down an exploding missle, to speeding up a fan blade. Choose the wrong power or run out of power, and you might pay the price... or you might just look like a fool like Joe does by paying attention to the movie he's watching in the intro rather than his girl friend.

It's been a while since a super-hero game has actually made me feel like I'm in the comic books... not even any Marvel or DC character-based game has done that for me.

Even for the casual gamer, this game has the best elements of platforming, upgrading your character, and hand-to-hand multiple opponent fighting. You can forget your Matrix video games, and Dragon Ball Z games... this is where slow-mo and hyper-speed fighting is at.

This game has it all! The cel-shaded graphics are crisp and clean, and the framerate never dawdles. This game has tons of replay value, as there are tons of moves to buy, and it is fun to try out new combos and try to get a V rating. Fighting never gets old; there is tons of variety and you look very stylish when you pull off combos. Overall, this game rawks:get it NOW!

This game is one of the most original pieces of work. Viewtiful Joe oozes with style and entertainment. It has a great replay value, as there is much to unlock. A must have for anyone that enjoys a fun game.

I'm glad to see that a "2dish" game is around for us that miss the 16-bit days when "Final Fight" and "Streets of Rage" ruled consoles. I bought this game for $20 (not worth more) and played it enough but simply stopped after a while. It's not that the game is difficult, it just doesn't "keep" grabbing my interest. I'm sure I'll play the game again but if I had to compare its replayability against a game such as the Wind Waker, Viewtiful Joe would lose. If I had to compare it to Luigi's Mansion, Viewtiful Joe would win.

This game is the dumbest game i have ever played in my life. It is worse than aqua man wich really sucked. He run around and does splits like a dumb ass and the fighting is retarded
