This is probably the best GameCube game to come out so far, it has amazing graphics, amazing game play, and amazing features such as slow mo and zoom in!!! Buy it now!!!

Viewtiful Joe is simply one of Capcom's best titles ever. The cell shaded graphics are above and beyond, and the lighting is a work of art. The gameplay on VJ is not typical "beatem-up", the action is much deeper than that. As you play through the game mastering the VFX powers (Slow, Zoom, and Mach Speed) and upgrading Joe's moves you realize this is much more than a typical "beatem-up". Though VJ looks, at first glance, like a kids game don't let it fool you this action game is no push over. The boss designs in VJ are incredibly unique and a bit comical. Needless to say is one of the best games for GC in 2003. Though it is at times tough the gameplay is so inovative it keeps you playing and makes it worth tring again when you die. Capcom's Veiwtiful Joe is simply a MUST BUY!!

Best game for Cube

I have never seen a game more drool worthy than Joe. The white knuckled action only seconds the viewtiful graphics. If I didn't have to go to school and work I would be playing it now! If you own a Cube, screw Celda Wind Waker aka Sailing in a boat for 80 + hours, go get Joe!

TO ALL GAME DEVELOPERS OUT THERE.... THIS IS THE WAY VIDEO GAMES SHOULD BE DONE!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS CLASSIC THROUGH & THROUGH ... also WE NEED MORE 2-D GAMES LIKE THIS!!!!! 3-D is not there yet, plauged with way too many camera problems, collision detection, and dizzyness, 3-D is not gonna be perfected till 2010! lets hear it for 2-D !!!! Lets hear it for capcom!!!!!! this game deserves too have a place in every collection!!! stop reading this and henshin a go go get this now!!!!!!!

This game [mainly a sidescroller type] is the best game ive come across for gamecube to date.My favorite fighting system as well...you get to use 3 different types of them "Slow" where you do many slow motion matrix bullet dodges and watch robot parts fly as u punch.Then theres "mach speed" Where u can speed up all parts of you like your punches and running speed.And third is "Zoom in" where you do many different kind of moves like your viewtiful kung fu and spin kick.Anyways all i have to say is if you like the matrix and you like Destroying things with kung fu skills then BUY THIS GAME!!!! heck even if you dont BUY THIS GAME!!!

Dont let the name turn you off!!!!!!

This game is probably(along with Zelda the Windwaker) the best reason to own a gamecube. You can do almost anything dodge bullets,fight cartoon monsters,and even use Mach speed to save time.The games animations are awsome, and playing in a 2-D enviorment is sweet. This game is defintly the best fighting game for Gamecube.And you should have no problem buying it for the decent price of a game for the new systems.

Ah, Viewtiful Joe! A sleeper hit for the GameCube. This is a refereshingly different game.

Graphics:10/10: Very nice! Beautiful cell shaded, comic book graphics!

Sound:10/10: The voices are fine, and the explosions are great.

Music:9/10: Pretty catchy music, although a bit repitive at times.

Gameplay:10/10: It's a sidescrolling beat-em-up! You can slow down time, speed uo time, or Zoom In! Joe has a big arsnel of moves and you get points that you use to buy powerups with!

Replay value:10/10: With tons of unlockable characters and diffuculties, it will entertain you for a while!

Story: 7/10: Joe and his nerdy-looking girlfriend Sylvia are watching a Captain Blue movie when Sylvia gets sucked in the screen! Joe goes after her. He finds CB, who gives him super powers! Can Joe get back Sylvia!? A bit of a cheesy story, but good for a beat-'em-up game! Plus, the final boss will surprise you!

A great game! I'd get this if I were you! Also, check out VJ2, coming this winter!

Nostalgia

Ah, yes. After playing this game, I ended up with the coveted "gamers thumb"- and carpal tunnel syndrome. Not since childhood have I been this excited about a game. Just because this is a smack-em-up game, doesn't mean you don't have to use your brain at times. The puzzles in the boards gives a nice breather in between all the mach speed (or slo mo, or zoom-in) action. The game can be difficult at times, but it is so wonderful to watch with the 2-D/3-D cel shading; and so much fun to play with the variety of moves, that you'll WANT to keep trying (and buying special moves with earned points from obliterating enemies). You'll be amazed by the grapics AND the gameplay. Can't wait for VJ2...

This game is simply marvalous. Viewtiful Joe is one of the best Gamecube games out there. I happend to get this game when it first came and I simply loved it. It was well worth the 40$ and I have to say this game is non-stop fun and lots of action. If you like side scrollers then you'll love this game. With a cool Cartoony look and great level desighn it's no wonder Viewtiful Joe is so awesome

The story of the game is pretty wacked out and cool and I won't spoil it but it's really cool.

The graphics are just top notch it ranks up with all those other great cell shaded games. I simply love the graphics and level desighn and the bosses are super cool. Especially the shark boss. VJ's graphics are one of the best out there.

The gameplay is the only reason I even gave it a 5 out of 5 score it just simply rocks. What's great about it is that you can buy new moves and other things which give the game more fun.

The music in the game is great too I loved the level music it went with it. Had kind of a flavor to it if you know what I mean.

Over all Viewtiful is another reason why you have to own a gamecube. The cell Shaded Graphics and gameplay is two main reasons why you will love Viewtiful Joe. Henshin a go go baby!

I give it a 5 out of 5.

One of the best games to come out on the Cube

This game is really fun. It actually makes you think about what to do in the environment. The bosses are kinda easy once you get used to their patterns. Once you unlock the Ultra V-rated difficulty, that's where the true challenge begins, but sometimes, you'll unexcpectedly get rainbow V's which is common in this difficulty level because the point & time requirement are actually pretty easy to keep in that difficulty. Once you unlock the characters, the best one to use is Captain Blue, he's the easiest character to use, & if you've been practicing dodging enemies with no skull marks, then he should be no problem. He has a hover move that doesn't gradually declines like Alastor, Blue's jump height, is higher than the combined double jump height of Joe. Blue can hover in place for a unlimited amount of time. Only thing is he can't hover outside of his Henshin form. Other than that, I didn't really mind the storyline. What's funny is when you play Sylvia, Joe's girlfriend, you'll have to save Goldie her twin sister, she has no glasses but looks exactly like Sylvia & the other character's storylines are all in Japanese diologue but have english subtitles. I guess they wanted to add that kind of feel to it. Joe's storyline is the only one that has english diologue. Overall I really enjoyed this game. I'd recommend to everybody to pick it up.
