1.okay this is better than the orginal Because its harder
2.it better than Resident Evil 4 i mean this makes resident evil 4 and 0 look like nothing.
3. Resident Evil 4 and Gaiden i think are the worst ones in the sereis
4. this is my favorite resident evil out of all them. and it still was when the 1st one came out on playstion.
5. This game is sort of like a moive which isnt bad its has alot of cutscens
6. i THink they should make this in to a real movie just take the script from the resident evil novel from the umbrella consracy.

theres one down side i didnt like out of this remake was when jill hears barry talking to wesker and barry says he was talking to himself i dont think that scence should have not been in there at all. it makes it to easy to figure out who the bad guy is but in all its my favorite gamecube game ever and will always be. not resident evil 4

Is it just me cause my computer says Resident Evil 0,1,2, and 3 have been discontinued. If this is true, where then can I find them.

Hey I just like to say that a resident evil 3 remake would be fantastic! Fighting off the nemesis in a new world basically and a more realistic world!

if you own a gamecube, buy it

this version of the classic out does the original. graphics two vears after release are still the best i've seen on any system, and the resident evil titles are the reason for me buying the system(aside from the gameboy player). i've read about some bitching about controls. control takes a bit getting used to if you're too used to playing the playstation titles, same difference when code: veronica came out on dreamcast. play through the game a little, and you'll catch on. sub weapons were a good addition, besides the fact that some zombies need three daggers to the skull before they go down. and one of the best additions is head shots. now you can do head shots with any gun. stairs are the easiest place to do this.

I have always loved the resident evil series since I was a kid. But this one just doesnt seem to be that fun. Sure, the grapics are excellent and the monsters look great but other than that it isn't too fun. Most of the time you are going back and forth threw doors looking for keys or other items. The only reason you wanna keep playing is to see a cutscene and that usually isnt gonna keep you hooked too long. Its a great night rental but not the best buy.

This is a great game. The controls take a while to get used to but from there, the game is excellent. THe graphics are the best. This proves that gamecube makes scary games. Can't wait till RE 4

This Game is awesome. From the bone-chilling mystries and from seeing the enimies. This game has spectacular Sound, Music, Gameplay, and the highest point. GRAPHICS. They will amaze you. All you gamecube players or the ones who have it at least, Take my advise and BUY THIS GAME!!!!

P.S LOVE THE SHARK AND SNAKE

They have rated RE1 & RE2 as best playstation games overall & i think that is true, cuz Resident Evil is now an addiction to me. Some of the reviewers on here did say that this game is no good but i dont really think they played Resident Evil to begin with. Even though that RE is 'survival horror' u do have a lack of ammo & u have to save your ammo in order to survive.. well first of all how are u going to survive w/o killing every living creature that comes out & attack you. You dont run from them.. & one of my problems is since this game is in 3D you have a hard time on trying to avoid them because of the camera angle. In my opinion its much easier to just shoot anything that attacks you.. even though some zombies in this game are easy to avoid.. you still might lose life on trying to dash around them because your judgement is off which is like every RE game. Thats where the control comes into play & i do have to say the control for this game can get annoying. Once that camera changes view, u get momentarly lost & u forget that zombie u were trying to avoid. My solution is to cheat.. but does that really take the gameplay away.. probablly. The only thing i dont like about resident evil is its not all action.. you got puzzles.. oh u got to move this shelf over here to open a door. There is this one part in this game (that isnt in the original) that u have to push this statue over to this one corner while walls on either side are about to crush you.. it is scary because u dont know if u will die, but i spent 25min on it.. i died once & had to do the dormitory level again. Took me about 10x b4 finally completing it.. i dint need a strategy guide cuz that wouldnt help, but its all due to the bad controls. Granted i got used to the control but, in some areas of the game it does become a hazard. Anyways enough of me blabbing about that, this game is really good compared to any other RE games out there (well besides RE 0). This game is soo realistic that it makes Final Fantasy X look like a paper mache. (not only that FFX wasnt too great, lack of storyline) anyways here is my grading system for this game..

Graphics: 10/10 The best game has been remade to better graphics.. but not better, the best. I was very impressed by it.. people thought "They have the new RE movie already???"
Plus the gore is unbelivable, its just an interactive movie. They dint need any videos for this game, just pure CG's did the trick

Sound/Music: 10/10 Ok, the original RE music score really does sound cheezy, were we playing RE or Supermario Unlimited here.. as for the remake, they really outdone themselves, i do like the RE2 music better but this one is just as good (like Silent Hill almost) As for the acting, it is very good.. i dont know why some people dint like the acting, i thought it was good & is alot better then the original (although the original RE acting is fun to watch)

Gameplay: 6/10 Its good but could be better, this is my only gripe cuz of the fact i could be the original RE game w/o cheating but with this one i had to in the middle of the game, i was running low on ammo & plus i dint realize that zombies come back to life (as little "Tyrants") after killing them. As most RE fans know is once a zombie is down, they never come back, but after playing this one.. u wish u never shot that one zombie, cuz that is the zombie that came back to life & avenged its own life.

Replay: 8/10 u could play this game over & over again (well after 4-5x u get tired of it cuz u know whats going to happen) & is a problem for RE games.. the games are too short (even though this one is pretty long) & u get little extras.. plus the puzzles in the games just become a chore afterwards.

Storyline: 9/10 Very good storyline, they improved it from the original version

Overall: 8/10 Overall this is a good game to play if u havnt played RE watch out for the controls cuz its confusing at first & the GC edition is just a little worse then usual, but otherwise this is a good game. It has alot more the original & the mansion is much more massive. I suggest buying this game if u like horror, action & dont mind annoying puzzles

Slow and tedious

I can't believe how enthusiastic people are about this game. Yes, it looks great. The interiors and the sound effects are awesome. But the game-play is slow and tedious. The basic goal is to find little trinkets hidden in the house, unlock stuff and solve puzzles, all the while avoiding death-by-zombie. The zombies are cool and the gore is nice and bloody, but they're almost beside the point. Your character plods slowly around the house, looking for who knows what. I guess we're supposed to be thrilled by the challenge of pushing a piece of furniture across the floor, so we can reach up and grab some shiny coin that's sitting in a light fixture. Wow. Talk about terror. And the 3rd-person camera angles are awkward and far away from your character, so you feel like you're watching the game, rather than playing it, which diminishes the potential "horror." Save your money.
