I'm a MEGA Star Wars kid. I study Star Wars.
In this game, you get to be a:
Bothan: a camel looking guy.
Zabrak: has 2 horns. (I can't really discribe him.)
Twi'liek: Jabba's dancers.
Wookie: Chewbacca.
Rodian: Greedo.
Human: Who doesn't know?
Mon Calamari: a kind of amphibian. There was 1 in the Return of the Jedi.
Trandoshan: A reptile looking guy. You'll see one in Jedi Knight 2, and in The Empire Strikes Back.
The cool thing about this game is that it NEVER ENDS!!!!!!!!!!!

The Conflict of SWG.

There have been a lot of reveiws on Star wars galaxies and a good bit of them leave out crucial information just complaining about this or that and bacically saying either "Don't buy this game!" or "Buy this game" with hardly anything to back them up so I am going to reveiw it the way it is and let you decide for yourself if it is worth buying.

When the game launches you are allowed to create a new character from these options Wookie(Tall hairy creatures like chewbacca in the original trilogy) Human((I'll just assume everyone reading this knows what a human is)) Bothan (dog like creatures known for their furry faces and short build) Trilek (human like creatures with tentical like hair) Zebrak (Human like creatures with horns) MonCalimarri (Squid like creatures) Trandoshan ((Scaley humanoids)) Rodian(Kinda hard tto describe but if you've seen the first of the origina trilogy it is the same species as Freelo)). Once you have chosen your model (all come in male or female) You go on to custumise their appearance you can adjust almost all of the features from the eye size to the waist-line. Once you are satisfyed you go on to choose the starting profession for your character (These are Artisan (one whoo collects resources from the environment and crafts them into food, clothes and other items), Medic (one who can heal the wounds of other players), Marksman (one who is skilled in the way of the ranged weapons such as the carbine, rifle, and pistol.) Scout (one who can harvest resources from the corpes of an animal and learn how to travel accross alien terrain) Entertainer (one who can learn to preform music and dancing but also become an image designer) and brawler (one who is skilled in melee weapons). After that you name your character or you can randomly generate one and that's it you begin the game or you can choose the tutorial. I'm going to skip over the tutorial as it is a tutorial and can explain it's self. Note skipping the tutorial does not change anything in the real game and you receive the same stuff as if you had taken the tutorial. I recomend doing it if it is your first time.
Once you reach gameplay it is up to you what to do you can either go out and earn credits or get yourself incapacitated by hostile beetles. Adding experiance to your starting profession is hard work so if you're one of those people who use cheat codes to get through games this game is not for you.You may add other professions on to your starting one but that gives you twice as much experiance to earn though in different feilds aka scouting experiance is earned in different ways than marksman.
Anyways that's the end of my reveiw I hope it wasn't to excedingly long and boring.

Where is my review?

I put a lot of thought into creating a well formed review of this game and it is no longer on this site. There was nothing wrong with my review, but I did say that this is not a good game. Oh well, I guess I can just waste less of my time (and yours) by saying that this game sucks. I posted the reasons not to buy this before, but "this game sucks" really sums it up.

You have to stick with it to understand it....

I've been playing SWG almost since the release date (ordered my copy from amazon). In the game, in the beginning, you started out running around (yes, jogging, lack of vehicles), killing frogs, bugs, and other smaller creatures to get experience. However, this game is a constantly shifting, constantly evolving game that you simply have to stick with to appreciate.

For the players that quit because lack of vehicles, and for hating to kill small creatures, and those that believe that loot means nothing, your wrong, naive, and before flaming the game, need to understand and actually play it. Loot, weapons, and armor are the keys to this game. Those who have "uber" loot are at the top in this game.

After 6 publishes (about one a month that completely alters the game), I now ride out on my swoop bike to kill Force wielding Nightsisters and Rancors, or maybe to Dantooine to kill Jedi, or Yavin to a secret Geonosian test lab to kill enhanced creatures. Yes, this game is gooooood, and very addicting...I am Khaameir of the Bloodfin server if you'd like to try this game out...

Gamers go ahead and buy

This game isn't just being produced by LucasARts; Verant Interactive has been a partner in the game from the beginning. Verant is the creator of the EXTREMELY popular Everquest game and expansions. Yes, you will get charged a monthly fee. Yes, you will probably have to buy expansion sets every now and again. HOWEVER, the design of the game is set up for Entertainment alone. Many people will spend hundreds of dollars to get 2 hours of entertainment at a Major League baseball park. Whereas months of playing Star Wars Galaxies will be nowhere near that cost, and you don't even have to fight traffic! I have been looking forward to this game coming out for the past 2 years, now I will finally get to play a Jedi! I look forward to seeing you all in a galaxy far far away.

May the force be with you!

Friends introduced me to this game about 2 years ago and I will say that I have probably devoted at least 4 hours of game play every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday since. The realism is awesome. The environment is awesome; and the game is completely free flowing. You make it what it is! It doesn't get any better for any Star Wars fan. LOL

Excellent game.

With so many profession and things to do this game is worth every penny. You can be anything from a Cook to Pilot. From a Teras KAsi MArtial artist to Smuggler. And you can change proffesions when every you want. Mastering up to 3 at a time or just a JAck of All Trades. Up to you. This game is rich with detail, smooth play and very addictive. Easy to get lost in. But thats why you can set an in game alarm. Great for any RPG fan or Star Wars nut or casual fan. LOVE IT!!

I've been playing games all my life. I've seen the greats come and go. Super Mario Brothers, Doom etc.

And now here we are. Star Wars is a phenomenon like the world has never seen and due to this, the developers have put their heart and soul into this project.

Star Wars Galaxies will define an Era. Computer games will never, ever be seen in the same way again.

How ROTW Saved SWG

I was once one of the people that hated the CU when it came out. Then i played Rage of The Wookies. This expanshion saved SWG for me. The new quests, weapons, and content that ROTW provides brings all the fun back to this game. This expanshion is like nothing SWG has done before. I no many people who came back and are now staying due to ROTW. Make your own choice, but i feal that even with the CU in place, ROTW makes it all up.

How can it be a long time ago when is comes out June 25th?

Now I have a friend who has been working with lucas Arts with the demo and said that the graphics are breath taking, the abilties of the game are incredible. Now we all have been thinking "hey i've been waiting for a game like this to come out"

Now I think we all know the plot, it takes place during the later episodes. We all dont know that you can be what ever you want to be meaning if i wanted I could be a droid jedi or a wookie bounty hunter. It sounds like much fun, I think im going to wait on buying it until later, so the price goes down.

Ok lets sum it all up it's a StarWars RPG, you can do whatever you want and you can interfere with the storyline with the original story. I hope everyone has fun on June 25th
