Combat revamp killed the game

I played this game from launch date until they game out with the stupid new combat system. I played the game non-stop to become a jedi. Then THey totally made jedi useless. They nerfed their powers and everything. but that wasnt the worst part. Later they made it so everyone could start as a jedi. all that work for nothing. Plus the combat system sucked. I couldnt get into it. The game at the beginning was great but then when they changed the combat style it all went down hill. this game is not worth getting now.

Well this game is the best MMORPG I have ever seen.The role system is very convinient.Comfortable controls.And much more.
My personal view: Star wars series were allways the best. And I reccomend it to everyone.Especialy if you are a SW fan.

The only thing i was gonna say was that this simply will be the best game ever because.. UO2 isnt coming.... ever... :(
Luckily the some of the uo2 dev team jumped over to SWG so lets all celebrate the next best thing.

It all started with Ultima Online. Since that game, I have loved the genre of MMORPGs. Games where it actually seemed like you weren't just wasting time, but actually accomplishing something other than "fragging" the closest breathing being, ala Quake. After years of gaming, the medieval setting, while still appealing, has lost some of it's shine to me. Looking for the same type gameplay, but in a Sci-Fi setting was all but futile untill a year or so ago. Even then, none of the titles appealed to me, and for that I am gratefull, as they all had HORRIBLE game launches.

Now, this April 15, 2003, a MMORPG set in the ultimate Sci-Fi universe (my biased opinion) will launch. It doesn't get any better than Star Wars, and from a group who has a pedigree of MMORPGs to gain experience from, all I have to say is I will be there. Will you?

I can't wait any longer....

I have been following this truly epic story of the creation of Star Wars Galaxies now for about a year and a half. This game is amazing! One only has to imagine the massive background a Star Wars galaxy has to offer mixed with an MMORPG setting of hit games like Everquest. You have to ask yourself what could go wrong? I plan on going out to the nearest store to buy it the very first day it comes out, and if you know anything about PC games you know you will too... Galaxies Rules!!!

This game rocks! The fee is completley worthwile. In the beggining, do not be discouraged, just do the best you can, and you can become what you want to. Started out near launch, On tatooine. Rose rather quickly through Marksman, and got into a guild. Was a tiny little poor rebel, with a small house and generator, in a small guild on Tatooine near Mos Entha (Wipeout UK, aka ). After that guild fell apart, i had Teras Kasi Master, and Near Master Doc. Then came the Combat Upgrade. Became Teras Kasi MASter, and MAster Swordsman. I am now in SGO. The MOST powerful guild in the game. Now a Rebel Captain, and with 4 million credits, i am almost 1/2 way to jedi, and with an AV-21, and Guildhall. I quote from the opening game, "And now it is time for the best story of all time.... Your's"

I had heard of this game, and wanted it terribly because I thought it looked so cool. Finally, I conviced myself that it couldn't possibly be as good as my mind was making it out to be. Then I played it at a friend's house last night, and found out that I was wrong.
This game is incredible. Period.
And I have realized this after only a few hours of playing. I am now on a quest to go get the game for my very own. So, I'll be off doing just that as soon as I finish this...
*walks out of room, out of the house, and down to the store*

I have been with this game since beta and have loved everything about it. Like most MMORPGs there is the bonus of getting to interact with a ton of people and "meet" new friends. Highly addictive, tons of quests, many ways to customize your character to make it unique. Many professions to choose from, and of course, the Jump to Lightspeed expansion pack coming out soon.... I had the chance to preview it at comic con and play it quite a bit. If you love the concept of SWG and also love the idea of piloting your own ship and having conflicts in space, this is an expansion you should look forward to. This game hands down has proved to be nothing short of entertaining and exciting. I have never been bored, and I love gaming, used to play everquest and recently played lineage II. Still love SWG, and it still consumes far too many hours of my day.

This game hopes to be at the top of it's class. The April 15th release date puts this one nearly a year past its original release date. With all the hype surrounding this title, it's hard to believe it's all true. Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided is the most promising Massively Multiplayer Online game to date. Bringing together the talents of LucasArts and the MMO veteran that is Sony Online Entertainment. You can look forward to playing all sorts of characters from the Star Wars universe, and experiencing a multitude of professions from launch. With the promised space expansion this game looks to be a new classic. Now let's just hope we see it out on time...

I've quite a bit about this game, and it looks like a very good game. I myself, am an avid gamer and Star Wars lover.

I am a MacUser and i do video editing, and stuff. Unless somebodys heard something i havent, i dont think this game is coming out for mac, which really disappoints me. Although the game looks great, and plays even better, im sad its not coming out for mac.
