Nintendo continues to do a great job bringing its older games forward into the new century. Although this is the third 3D Zelda game (after Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask on the N64), I think it's the first which accurately captures the spirit of the classic Zelda games.
Zelda fans will be happy to see the return of classic characters, monsters, and items, plus well-designed additions such as the new grappling hook (don't worry, the old hookshot is still there too!) and the Deku leaf. Some people are complaining that there are fewer dungeons than Ocarina of Time, and this is true, but in my opinion they are well designed and are actually much more fun. Plus, the overworld is giant and offers many great places to explore, people to meet, and things to do. Those who like mini-games will find a number of fun diversions.
The graphics are incredible -- it really is like playing a cartoon (don't worry, it's better than the old saturday morning cartoon!) and the music is good as well, with many of the classic tunes (including remixed versions of many Ocarina of Time favorites). This is an extremely impressive game from both technical and artistic points of view, and certainly ranks among the best games available on the GameCube.

This game reminded me of the Legend of Zelda for NES. Link was a young boy in the very first Zelda and it was great to see him in Zelda-Wind Waker also as a young boy. The cell grahics are amazing to say the least. This game has something for everyone. To me, this game is not too hard or easy, it's just right. I found the dungeons and bosses to be on the easy side in my opinion. There's a lot of side quests to keep you busy, which is a good thing. If I were to pick a game, this would be it.

The Legend of Zelda: the Wind Waker is set 100 years ahead in time than Ocarina of time. Nintendo has created a brand new style of playing, with a unique graphics design. This is probably Nintendo's greatest Zelda yet. It is challenging for old players, and yet easy for newer players to the genre. Link, the main character uses his talking boat, the King of Red Lions to sain across the Great Sea. The storyline is innovative, funny, and sometimes touching. All in all, this game has something for everyone in the family. You probably won't put it down!
Much better than I thought is going to be!

This game was really good. When I saw the preview and stuff, I didn't like the graphics at ALL, but when I started playing I had a blast. I won it already! I recommend this game to kids and grown ups. it's one of the best out there, the dungeons aren't too hard to get through, and the story is interesting. it's like playing a neat cartoon. Try it!
Excellent Game!

Nintendo has done it again! The intricacy and creativity of this game is extraordinary! Explore up to 49 islands each one containing different special features. Save your sister from the treachorous grips of Gannon! That's how action packed and exciting this game is! Although Link may look a lot different the movement during battle is fantastic and really cool! This game is a must buy!!!

The Wind Waker takes place about 1000 years after Ocarina of Time. When ou first start palying, there is this five mintue long intro, which is kind of annoying. The whole thing is about you on a quest to save your sister. The evil dude is Ganon. There are dungeons, which are kind of confusing, atleast for me, who is not really the ideal gamer. I ahven't finished the game, but the first dungeon, you have to rescue the Rito tribe from the great dragon Valoo who is bieng tortured by an evil spider looking thing. Before that dungeon, you have to do a "quickie" dungeon, at the Forsaken Fortress, where your sister is. You travel around on a talking boat. You can get the Tingle Tuner on one of the first few islands, which you acn use oif you ahve a GameBoy Andvance® Conecter Cable.
This game is great!!!

This game really lives up to the status of the past Zeldas. However the storyline is different. This time it takes place in a totally different time where Hyrule was overcome by Ganon after Link died. In the game Hyrule is in a uh...different place, (I'm not saying where b/c then it would give the suspense away!)you have to beat this *uknown character* to save your sister after she gets kidnapped. One clarification, you are NOT Link. It is common on the character's island to dress accordingly when you reach a certain age. in the characters case, he is that age when his sister gets kidnapped. Overall great game though.

I loved this game so much! I hate GameCube and video games but when I saw my brother playing a rented one I just could not deny the fascination in my mind. The graphics, storyline, and overall mood makes you feel like you live there. I love this game and recomend it to non-video gamers.

Now all you fans may not wanna play this game due to the cel shading. But people, when you play the game you hardly notice it. I love the game. I'll play a game if it has bad or different graphics, as long as it's a good game. Sure, I would've been more stoked about the game if they kept the old graphics, but hey, it's not gonna happen now. Look on the bright side, the next Zelda game fo GC may be in the old graphics. Overall, Great GAME!... 10/10
