We spent a long time looking for a new copy of this older game and finally found it on Amazon. It has been great fun and worth our efforts to find it. It was shipped quickly and arrived in perfect condition.

Play the game first before jumping to conclusions

Wind Waker. Yeah, ok so it's cel-shaded. So what? The game makes it work
for itself and besides, it has tons upon tons of things to find and do. You could literally spend hours just sailing around finding secrets. The music-centred gameplay is also a fantastic idea! All in all, it's very fun and a very unique game.

For the Zelda purists reading this review, let me just say that I was once a purist, just like you (well, still am). I pissed and moaned about the cartoony look as well, but I just sat down and played it; 6 hours later I was deep into the game, loving everything about it. Think of this game as a lollipop laced with heroin, or some other equally addictive substance. That is, it may be brightly colored and childish on the outside, but take one lick and you're hooked for life!

First off, the seafaring system is a wonderful idea; however, when it usually takes 10-20 mins to get from point A to point B in the Great Sea, and you have to do that very often (before you get the warp tunes), it can suck the fun right out of the game. There are a lot of really annoying areas that also tend to suck the fun out of it. Aside from that, the gameplay is very smooth, the graphics and sound are phenomenal, and there a lot of very innovative ideas implemented in Wind Waker.

WOW!!!!:)

Worst zelda game ever (apart from the CDI games)! Its sssssooooo kiddie and childish, and it embarrases me to play it because it makes me feel like im 5! The new graphics are very boring and bland. If you want a proper Zelda game, GET TWILIGHT PRINCESS!!!!! That game is so much better than **** like this!

The zelda series peaked with this game. It not only has superior appearance and smooth gameplay, but it also provides a sense of freedom unmatched by any other game. It is an innovative game that provides gameplay unmatched by any other game.

i bought this game when it first came out because i am a huge fan of the zelda series. i can't say that i was that impressed with it after playing ocarina of time. the game gets a little tedious with all the traveling (even after getting the warps). it's still a fun play but make sure you have plenty of time on your hands! i didn't think it was the best game in the series but it was fun compared to most games.

This is the greatest Zelda game EVER!It is superior to almost every Zelda game before it(excluding Ocarina of Time and A Link to the Past)The graphics are beautiful and cool. The story is epic.It centers around Link,a young boy from a small island, searching for his sister Aryll, who has been kidnapped by a giant bird.Along the way he meets a talking boat,a gang of pirates, and even Princess Zelda. He also searches for a long lost treasure and discovers a land beneath the sea.I loved the dungeons and the bosses[especially the giant worm].And I adored sailing in the game. But this game is not perfect. For one thing the enemies aren't hard. And sailing gets tedious(towards the end anyway).Plus the final boss is way too easy(although he is a wicked cool boss ).But you forget about all that once you face the challenge of the game.It took me five months to complete. And I'm still working on the sidequests. If you have a Gamecube get this game. You will be happy you did.
