this game is the best no questions asked any on who dislikes this game has a serious mental problem and should rip their own spine out and skip rope with it in the closest 4 way intersection

WHERE are the CUCCOS??? The ghosts and mummies weren't as cool as I've seen them, either. Ocarina is still the best. Credit is due for Beetle's ingenious silver card membership, though. Yeah, there are some days where that's great. This game needed more genuine surprises, twists, humor, and horror. Music wasn't as haunting as in the others.

But not because of the graphics.
I wanted to like The Windwaker-- a lot, but this game feels like a pencil drawing, and Nintendo needed an oil paint mural.
About cel-shading:
The lack of overall detail affords some other neat graphical capabilities: animation is very smooth. Enemies, smoke, explosions, etc. look neat, and sometimes they achieve the "controllable Disney cartoon" feel. On the other hand, sometimes it looks like a board game.
The biggest frustration is never getting to just run around. Sailing is neat, but it's really all you do (a lot of game time is fishing up sunken chests that most often contain boring Rupees, and you just never need that much money). Then, the islands you land on are crumbs on a bedsheet. Fewer but bigger, deeper islands would have made more sense.
The dearth of dungeons is the next most frustrating thing. There are four real dungeons, and they're the sweet highlights, but that's all the meat and potatoes you get. Some bosses are silly, though the ways you have to fight them can be neat. Most of the time throughout the game, you're waiting for the next big... thing, which just never happens.
Characters' conversations are typically Zelda-simple; there isn't much mystery about the next task. The lack of voice acting can be dull, but hopefully all the reading is good practice for young players.
Still, the game still has more magic and atmosphere than many, but my guess is, in the end, Ocarina of Time won't be topped. I hope Shigeru "For the Kids Spielberg" Miyamoto and Nintendo keep trying, though.

This is a really good game.To me no GameCube collection is complete without it.This is my first Zelda game and I've already come to love the whole Link adventure thing a lot!The whole game starts out in a peaceful little island then...boom!You save a pirate girl,your little sister is kidnapped by a giant bird,and you are thrown into an evil fortress!Did I leave anything out?In other words:YOU HAVE TO GET IT!

Okay: graphics suck, fighting and exploring is fun, but the ocean gets annoying. So does conducting with the Wind Waker (its different than the previous games). Get the Zelda Collecter's Edition (low price), you'll get four quality games are a 20 minute demo of The Wind Waker. Decide from there is you like it.
That's a quick review...I didn't want to waste to much of my or your time.

The Legend of Zelda is a great game, even though people might dislike its cartoonish graphics. If you have a Gamecube, i suggest that you should get this game because if you like the other games in the Zelda series, you'll love this one!

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is the best game ever made. Trust me. The games countinues the story of the little boy in the green suit...and it does the job very well. The Gameplay is just great. The Camera never messes up. I am a fan of the new look of Wind Waker. I like the cartoon style of the game and i think it fits very well with the style of the game. If you dont already own this title, then you better run right now to the nearest video game or electronics store and pick this game up before it passes you by. If I could i would give it a higher score...but this game is Perfection.

Worst zelda game ever (apart from the CDI games)! Its sssssooooo kiddie and childish,and it embarrases me to play it because it makes me feel like im 5! The new graphics are very boring and bland. If you want a proper Zelda game, GET TWILIGHT PRINCESS!!!!! That game is so much better than **** like this!
