I decided to pick this game up, but was disappointed. I was expecting alittle more action death coolness, but it wasn't there. It was pretty little link prancing around with a little dagger "getting the bad guys." If your over 11 years old i wouldn't even bother. Though the fact that it is link with a sword, and a well made battle mode i give it 2/2 stars
It stinks

I hate this game. It looks like a cartoon and is just stupid. And for the ones who like this game I have played it. The Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were the best games that Nintendo will ever make. I am now not a Nintendo player. You really shouldn't buy this game. There may be more people who like it but this is definitly where the Zelda series went wrong.
Don't listen to those people who write good reviews, they are wrong. You will be disapointed.
good and bad.

Many people got ticked off by the new island hopping system. I found this to be anoying as well. You don't really fight many enemies on the ocean, and you have to take the time to change the wind direction before you can get anywhere. This stops when you learn the cyclone teleportation tenchique, but that's not all that sucks about this game! After you play through all the dungeons, you have to sail across the ocean, complete all these stupid puzzles, and get these seven charts. Then you've got to somehow find Tingle Island and get them deciphered. Then you have to salvage for all these stupid Triforce pieces! It takes so long to do that, I still haven't gotten past this long part. The bosses look cool and are pretty fun to fight, plus the dungeons are somewhat enjoyable, but the spaces inbetween the dungeons are just to boring. Buy this game if you love zelda games, but otherwise let it slip.
Great game

This game's great. If you have another opinion, don't think about changing mine. Although it isn't the best game I've played, it is good. I've beaten the game, so I should tell you my favorite boss and how to defeat him/her/it/whatever.
Favorite boss: The big earthworm with the huge tongue.
To defeat him: you need to use the hookshot to bring out its tongue. Then slash it with your sword. Do the same thing 3 more times to win.
The game's good.
Pretty Good--But That's It

This game was pretty fun, I'll admit. DESPITE the people being ugly as sin, and DESPITE Link's feet being chopped off at the heel, it still managed to pull off some fun things (and anything that achieves being fun with THAT graphic design gets my hat off to it). But, I'm reviewing, so it's my job to point out the shortcomings.
First, the graphic design overall was fine. The monsters were suitably creepy, and the items had more interesting detail than ever before. But the thing that I would have fixed was the people themselves, especially Link. Even if you only changed the feet so that they were normal-sized, the whole game would look a thousand times better. Try it! Go look at a WW picture, trace it, draw normal-sized feet on the people, and you can TELL that there's a MAJOR difference. The one with feet has so much more appeal--the quality the draws your eye to it--than the one without.
The gameplay was even improved a little. Now, instead of having to memorize where the grappling hook or other long-range items will go after they leave your hand, there is a small, orange circle that appears when you'll hit something. Still, this was only a minor improvement, and the gameplay was really just like that of OoT with a few, small tweaks to make it a little better. It was a foreseeable extension from OoT.
The music, even, was pretty good--apparently the Nintendo synthesizers have gotten better over the years. I still like to hum the Dragon roost Island music. [duummmm, dum-da, da da da, duummm, dum-da, da da da...]
Overall, I'll admit that, yes, it WAS fun to play and--well, INTERESTING to look at, if not PLEASANT all the time (those poor chopped off feet...). Of course, that's about all it amounts to: "Oh, that was a pretty good little game." Not like Ocarina of Time, where the game was truly LEGENDARY. Just "pretty good". The graphics in WW were part of this; they were not as good as OoT's. Before all you videogamers jump on me and say, "No, they're NOT!!!", let me clarify: In Ocarina of Time, the graphics WERE more blocky and less detailed, it's very true. But the graphic STORYTELLING was, at the very least, 1000 times better than Wind Waker's. Instead of confusing you more by trying to clarify with a lot of art-speak, I'll just give an example.
In both Ocarina of Time and the Wind Waker, Link pulls the Master Sword out of a pedestal. However, the two scenes could hardly be more different. When you pull the sword out in the Wind Waker, the world becomes colorful and bright. There are suits of armor and stained glass windows depicting the Sages in WW style. And that's fine. Again, "pretty good".
In Ocarina of Time, you are standing in a white marble room all cloaked in shadow--all, that is, save a pool of bright light that falls directly onto the Master Sword. And THAT is truly LEGENDARY.
So, to put it in a nutshell, play this game if you want something pretty fun to play and like the Zelda series. DON'T play it if you want a real Legend.

This game is the best, second only to Zelda Ocarina of Time. The way the story line is intwined with Ocarina, you have to play it to understand Windwaker. I admit i was a little dissapionted that all of the origanall cast was dead, but you can't have everything. Also, just when you think you have completed the game, and you think "Man, that was good, but short", something happens you would never have belived could and you relise that you are only half way through the game. Zelda and the Windwaker is definatly a must play for all Zelda fans.

This game is by far the best zelda ever. It is not the same game at all. You sail the seas in a major adveture to become the new hero. Defeat Ganon, Saving the princess zelda, and rescue your sister that was taken by a big over growned bird. meet pirates and divers. Also see the new Link, his Grandma, Aryll his sister, Tetra the female pirate, also the King, and the princess.
best zelda game ever!

I loved the windwaker, ecpesialy the graphics. I think the story line was changed dramaticly though, being a small fan of the originals. I have never beaten the game but I have got into it and it is awsome. if you'er a zelda fan, buy this one.

I saw this game very fun and enjoyable. And I LOVE THE GRAPHICS!!! WHO CARES IF IT'S NOT REALISTIC! most i've seen is people saying that they HATE the graphics because it's not realistic enough. Anyway here is what i think of the game
graphics 10'/10 i love the cartoonish look to it!!!!
music 9/10 i like tons more than the old versions of music in the other zelda games. And the tempple music for the legend of zelda occorina of time was HORRIABLE!! i mean who would like oprea music over and over?
gameplay 9\10 for people think it's easy i must be mentely challanged yes sad to say i get stuck aii the time i have made it far close to beating the game but not yet. The game is supper adicting when u first get it, but.. like allgames u sometimes go to a stop and sits there all alone is your game waiting for u. it's calling to me! ( sry i had to put that in!) i like it a lot and to say i think the bosses are hard! (stop looking at me like that!)
fun 10/10 yes fun fun fun i love adenture games that feel of chopping someones head off! ( this game has no voilence no blood at all when u beat a enemy they just vanish poof! so pearnts this is to u) this game has puzzles and problembs to solve .jumping off a cliff with your little leaf parachute trying to make it to the other side or trying to beat a HUGE octopuss while your little boat.
Anyways this game is great but remember u should try it before u buy it! well i didn't do that but ok. hope u liked it from a girl gamer.
