Parent and Child Must-Play

Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is fun for all ages. You must raise a succesful farm by planting crops and raising livestock. To keep your farm running, you can find other ways to make money. While raising a farm, you must find a wife. Once married, you have to care for your child. Finding friends, and keeping them is essential in this exciting virtual world. It teaches children about business, responsibility, and relationships. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life has lots of exciting and unusual situations that keep you guessing and in awe. Pretty much half of the people I told have gone out and bought Harvest Moon. The game is fun, addicting, and somewhat educational. I totally support anyone buying it!

Better Than Animal Crossings

I wouldn't go so far as to say this game is boring. It's boring for people who are into killing and throwing and bouncing around like Super Mario. I myself love Mario games, but Harvest Moon kicks butt! And here's why.

It's so FUN!

To start off, your father has died and it was his dream to run a farm with his best friend Takukra or something. I can't spell it. You decide to move to Forget Me Not Valley and take on your father's dream. Your first goal is to find a wife. This is really fun, as each of the three women you can choose from have different personalities.

There's Celia, the farm-girl who's so so SO dull and pretty and happy. Then there's Muffy, the sexy barmaid who thinks you're sexy too, and will tell you so. Then there's Nami -- the beautiful redhead who's also smart and not easily impressed. (I wooed Nami -- she's the best!)

Not only do you begin a family, but (as it's a farm) you have farm animals to take care of. You start off with one cow and horse, but you can buy chickens and sheep and goats and get ducks and lizards and cats and raccoons -- the number of pets is endless! You also have a dog, who chases away strangers if you take good care of it. My dog is pretty useless (the first year I kept forgetting to feed it) and I was robbed blind by a begger man.

There's a monster who lives by a stream, a mad scientist, a hippie musician who lives in a yurt, an artist . . . the neighbors are just interesting and so weird!

Anyway, after you've wooed the woman of your choice, you get a child the second year. The child will always take after your wife, so don't expect big brown eyes and scruffy brown hair. My child takes after Nami and has big blue eyes and red hair. He is quiet and shy and smart and it's fun to toss him in the air and buy toys for him. I named him Gwydion, incedentally.

Man, I want to go on and on about how awesome this game is! But I don't want to give too much away. Just take it from me -- if you liked Animal Crossings, you'll love this game even more. At least rent it and you'll enjoy it -- I guarantee.

A really cool game

This game rocks! The first 2 weeks I got it and I was addicted! You dad has died and his dream was to run a family farm with Takura. You start out with a cow and dog. You adventually receive a horse. After Spring, you get a blue feather. When 1 of the ladies has 4 hearts, you ask her to marry you and she will. The hearts are in their diaries. Celia is a shy, boring girl who loves farm work but sadly won't help you. Her diary is on her bed. Muffy is the cutest girl on the game. Her diary is under the lamp in the Blue Bar. Nami is the smart girl who is not easy to impress. Her diary is on her desk. She will leave Forget Me Not Valley if you don't marry her. After you marry a girl you will get a baby boy. (I married Muffy and named my son Cory) This game rocks so bouy it!

From N64 to Gamecube

The original one was on n64 and they did it darn good. The graphics on this thing are amazing. Now I only rate stuff that I like, mostly, but this is near the top of secondary life rpgs. This makes sims look like a screw up. I mean, really the graphics are good, they sucked on animal crossing, but they are really nice here. You can also connect game boy advance to it and get a whole bunch of extra features. You can marry and develop all these relationships like in animal crossing. Though marrying was not an option in AC. Farming games are lame, especially all of them. Not this one, I got all these machines and milking stuff and I've been making a whole bunch of money. Your crops need attention, so pull the weeds and water them everyday, beacuse if not your crops wil die and you will become poor. This game teaches managing, think, memory, and life lessons. This game may look kiddy, but its still and child or adult game is mind. I feel this game is really the game for eveyone. I advise your to at least play this game.

When I was but a wee lad, Harvest Moon came out on the Super Nintendo. I was in Heaven. The game has a unique quality about it that is absent in almost every other game out there. It is believeable (with the execption of the golden eggs and giant beanstalks).
The games out today usually involve a large ship with blaster rays or a wizard on a quest or a zombie filled mansion. Natsume (Game developer) wanted to go away from the conventional game and make one of their own, an original, simple farming game. And they suceeded.
I have purchased every HM game that has come out and the developer still amazes me with every reincarnation. This upcoming title will take all the best qualities from every HM game over the years, so how could it be bad?

Yippeee!

This game looks like the best game EVER! The graphics look AWSOME! I mean who wouldn't want a game that's just like a virtual life YOU can shape. It would be like having two separate lives! Wouldn't you like to have a puppy that by your side all the time? Wouldn't you like to have a hot chick for a wife and a kid that helps you around the farm and looks up to you? DONT YOU WANT TO BE FREE?!?!
I'm going to buy this game as soon as it comes out and you should too! THIS GAME LOOKS AWSOME!!!!!!!!

Awesome game

Awesome game. It has tonnes of details and stuff like

- You get old

- You choose you're wife

- 30 years of game [like game time]

- You can make hybrids

- You can give and get gifts

- 6 chapters

and more!

I rated it 4 stars because it's good but still has flaws

For example
- Plants that don't actually have flowers do in this game.
- Wrong dialogue like for ei) You give some people flowers and they say
"You've got something tasty there can I have it?"
- When you get married it says several years later but none of you're stuff progresses
- People can push you when you're on you're horse

YEY FOR HM!

i LOVED all the other harvest moons, so im greatly anticipating. i suggest this game for kids of all ages. im an 8th grade, 14 year old girl... and im madly obsessed with these games XD. as ive seen in other previews, this game has various old stuff, stuff from the other games. sadly, i think the one for PS2 had more downfalls than upllifts. 4 crops, they were the same for alll seasons, no wives, and obviously no children... but that was the only one that was a bad seed that IVE seen. i cant wait til it comes out! 10/5 stars for this one ^_^
