This game is the best 3D fighter out there, fluid motioncapture animation, no polygonal tearing, beatifull cloth simulationand alot of crazy combos.

This is the first fighting game where all the characters are well ballenced and not too disadventaged.

BUT! This game will spoil the way you see video games. After this you will be suffering from post-Soul Calibur syndrome. What I mean is because the quality level of this game is so high, that every time you will be playing any other game which isnt as good as this one, you will be deeply affected. that's Post Soul Calibur Syndrome for you END

Soul Calibur is probably the best fighting game right now. The game has one of the best graphics I have ever seen. What makes Soul Calibur even greater is that it has so many options to keep you in the game for weeks or maybe even months. Soul Calibur takes awhile to master due to the amount of characters the game has, plus each character is not the same. If you buy a dreamcast, make sure you also get Soul Calibur!

THis game is awesome best graphincs and great gameplay pick it up and this is even a reason to buy a dreamcast because of this game.

I know what a lot of you are thinking, and it just isn't true. Soul Calibur is not your typical arena fighter. It has the best graphics that I have ever seen in a game to date, but not only that, it has a wonderful story and appealing characters. It will keep you coming back for more especially with all of the cool modes it has, like story mode or the challenging survival mode. The animation is ultra smooth, and I beg all of you dreamcast owners out there to buy this game now!

first off, this game has the best graphics ive ever seen in a fighting game...the characters look almost real...there is no boxy lookin characters here...even the graphics of the stages are amazing...u can change seasons off some stages...second, the combos and moves in the game are extraordinary...there are no fireballs and stuff like that...i think that's great...its all weapons, grabs, and kicking...(...).i like kilik's combos the best, but there are alot of characters that have awesome moves...mitsurugi and cervantes are a couple...but everyone has at least 3 or 4 amazing moves or combos...third, there are alot of game modes...u can play on aracde, 2 players, time attack, survival, extra survival(which is sudden death...the first hit wins),musuem mode, and mission battle...this is great...u have 2 complete missions 2 get money or credits...thats how u buy the art cards...but there are some art cards that when u buy them, u get somthing...there are 3rd costumes, different weapons, metallic characters, more stages, and stuff in museum mode...u get the extra people n some stages by beating the game wit every1 that is originally there...the mission battles are great...there are some very easy ones, and some very very hard ones...after u beat them all, a chaos mission will come up, n when u beat that, all the missions go back, but they are twice as hard...and the last mission in each location is very hard...the game even tells u that the difficulty level is very high...there are a couple that u could beat the first time but there are also a couple that will take a few times...the most times i tried a mission before i beat it is 6 times...bottom line, when u play this game, u will not only think its ur favorite fighting game ever, u might think its at the top of ur list for ur all time favorite games...its def at the top of mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I first played this game at a friends house and I was immediately amazed by what I saw. Very stellar graphics and gameplay. So I went out and purchased this game. I played through it, then I played through it again and again and again. I was playing against friends and it never once became boring. Even after you beat the arcade mode you can go into mission mode allowing new features to be unlocked and continuing on the fun. The difficulty increases more and more during mission modes so you will always feel challenged at this game until you have mastered it. But don't expect to master this game very quicly since there are hundreds of moves per person. So go out there and purchase the excellent fighter. You won't regret it.

This game just blew me away!! The graphics are astounding and the play is quick to get use to for moves and combos. The background during play is great and the animation for each character really made my eyes bug out of my head!! If you like fast aciton fighting games, with awesome colors, sound and graphics...this is a must buy!!!

Hands down, the BEST FIGHTING GAME EVER. No question. Perfect everything; graphics, gameplay, replay, 19 characters, etc. If you enjoy fighting games at all you should buy this.

I was used to playing Tekken 2 on a Sony Playstation and got this game for my Dreamcast. I really enjoy this. I especially like that you can knock someone out of the ring, which means they fall off a cliff or into some water.

The graphics are great, the rats in one scene really freaked me out. I couldn't play in the scene because I was so grosse out by the rats.

The characters are fun too. I have just as much fun talking about the characters as I do fighting with them.

Fun stuff.

This game truly is a masterpeice. When I rented this game for the first time, I played my brother in Versus mode. When the fight begun, I lost both battles badly, because I was staring at the beautiful backgrounds, and characters, and, well, let's put it this way, the graphics are incredible. Once I started to focus on the game, I realized that the gamplay was just as incredible. No blood, but a very, very realistic fighting game. This game is one of the best fighting games ever made, and easily beats out anything on the PS2.
