soul Calibur is by far the best game ever made on a systemperiod. I have had the game for about two weeks now and I still can'tget over it,it's that good. The mission mode is great allowing secret characters, and screens. Overall the game plays great, there's no slowdown, and no graphic glitches. I was as skeptical about the dreamcast system because Sega hasn't had very good luck in the past, but with games like soul calibur it makes the tension of buying a dreamcast fizzle out. GET THIS GAME YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED! END

Well, I have to say that this is the best fighting game ever made. The graphics are easily the most impressive ever seen on a home console system; they're even better than the arcade version! There are an abundance of gameplay options and the controls are easy to pick up. Highly recommended.
Awesome!

The game is a remix of soul blade and it makes the game play easy if you ever played soul blade and the way the gaphs and sounds are just perfect with or without a home theater sound system and the game it self is for all game fighting fans that love to use swords and stafs along with other weapons that you gather through the mission mode. I think the extra thing that makes the game better is that now you can fall off out of the ring if you don't pay attenion to where you are while you are fighting.

On 9/9/99 you all should get your hands on a Dreamcast and Soul Caliber. This game is truly an amazing sight to behold and an even better gameplay experience. A comparison to the System-12 version shouldnt even be made because the Dreamcast version is so far better. It CRUSHES any other fighting game attempt to date.
BEST Fighter. Period.

Ok, ok, so maybe you aren't a fighter fan. Well, whether you are or aren't, this game is a must have for the Dreamcast. The gameplay itself is awesome with an easy learning curve. The more you play, though, the more moves you will learn to execute. This makes it a fun game for everyone. If you need another reason to buy this king of fighters (and maybe all launch titles), then read on. The graphics in this game cannot easily be described because they are so sweet. All the backgrounds are fully polygonal, including the caves stage (in the caves stage, you are fighting on a raft that is floating down an awesome cave with stalagmites, stalagtites, and even human structures like columns). Another interesting thing about the graphics in this game is the fighters themselves. The fighters are all fully polygonal and were made down to the finest detail. Their reactions and facial expressions are even more impressive, though. When you knock an opponent down and hit them in the ribs on the ground, they roll around in agony and their faces show they are in much pain. Throw in the killer music it has (for the Japanese version, anyway), and you got yourself a big hit. Buy this game because if you don't, beleive me, you WILL regret it!

The game attracts many people who don't usually have interest in video games. The fighting movements are realistic such that you would just enjoy to watch the replay again and again. A must for every gamer.
Soul Calibur the best game for DC hands down!

I bought the Dreamcast because I knew I was missing out on the luxury of having Arcade quality games in my living room. And the one game that made me realize this is Soul Calibur. With the most impressive graphics I have ever seen in a fighting game this game does not stop here. The control and game play matches the graphics in quality. With One player modes as fun as playing against your friends this is one of the best games ever made.
Knocks you off of your feet!

We just purchased, the Dreamcast system as an entire family gift. On a friends advice, SoulCalibur was the fighting game I selected (his recommendation was based on reviews he had read and his teenage sons input). Although rated as "T"een level violence, I was pleased to see that they EXCLUDED the "blood and guts" realizms that to many games often provide. The graphics are fantastic, the moves are quite amazing and you'll never see anatomical pieces scattered about the game field. A great fighting game for teens and adults, and I would not be upset if my younger children played this game.
