I absolutely love this!
Ok, there is the weighing, BMI evaluating and actual age results that stink.
I don't honestly know how I seem to be gaining weight everyday though.
I mean, I don't eat any more than I did before.
I will try doing my body test before breakfast to see if it makes a difference.
My "actual age" results also vary as it takes some of the balance tests into consideration.
I am better at some and worse at others.
While doing the excersises I find my heart rate going up, and I get sweaty.
I know I am doing the excersise right also as my virtual trainer lets me know.
It is important to follow the instructions and maintain correct balance to attack the right muscle groups.
I must admit I am not very good at some of the activites but am getting better everyday.
I have already unlocked a bunch of new stuff in each of the catagories.
I have been excersising every day now and actually feel some tenderness in my muscles.
It is a great feeling, knowing it is actually working.
No one is watching me and I am working on my own body confidences.
One of my favorite features is that I can lock my information with a passcode.
No one can see my weight etc... unless I choose to.
Very important in my eyes.
My 9 year old daughter also loves this.
She is a ballet dancer (pointe) and loves the yoga especially.
She is much better at some of the yoga poses than myself, but even she has some core areas to strengthen.
She is having a great time with it.
She tried coping me while not on the board, then doing it on the board to see if she did it right.
She wasn't, and learned how to excersise correctly.
This is a very important feature in my eyes.
I cannot say enough about this product thus far.
I am really, really happy with this purchase and would recommend to everyone.
Easy fitness

I was lucky to have pre purchased this product through Amazon months ago, but waited to really try it for a prolonged period before reviewing. There are a lot of pros as well as a few cons. Let me begin by saying that my two teenagers and their friends use this as well and the balance board holds up beautifully. Now to the pros:
1st..fun, easy to use
2nd...quick workouts for quick weight loss
3rd...use whenever...you're at home..use it naked if you want!
4th...no gym fees
5th...did I mention FUN!
**There are many more pros, but I am sure you get the jist.
Cons:
1st..and it's a biggie!...SHUT UP WII PERSON!
the computer is to talkative..heaven forbid you are gone on vacation and don't use for bit. I don't care if I haven't worked out for week...I was on vacation!
2nd...another biggie...my idea of overweight and Wii's idea are two different things! I really don't like how it calculates weight. My husband is a twig and he is overweight? My son, 6 feet is obese? Please. I work in the medical profession, I know weight...this bugs me.
Overall, I do use this. The kids and their friends use it and have fun, which is what it is meant to do, but I could really live without the little WII voice. I would like to jump on the balance board, choose my activities and be off on the road of fitness without traffic lights.
Thin 25-year-old who doesn't like exercise.... LOVES THIS!!!!!!!

I'm 25, married, put a lot (too much sometimes!) of importance on my looks, love video games... but HATE to exercise. I love biking, tennis, basketball... but put me on a treadmill, an eliptical or stick me in a group yoga class and I'll not be a fun person to hang out with.
I have been dying to get a Wii Fit ever since I heard about it a month before it was released. Surely, for this avid gamer and competitive chick, this could be exercise I can get into! I just prayed my high hopes weren't unrealistic. After all, I saw a lot of reviews out there saying that this thing "is definitley exercise" and not to expect "to have fun." I started to get worried.
Our Wii Fit arrived in the mail three days ago. I popped it in the next day and hopped on the balance board... and didn't get off for an hour and a half! It was a BLAST!!!!!!!!!!! For someone who likes only "hidden" exercise (outside enjoying the sun, kicking someone's butt at a sport), this is what I've been looking for!!!
It's competitive. Sure, you're "competing" against your own high scores, but man did I want to kick my own butt, "playing" exercises over and over until I did them perfectly, or at the very least, successfully. I was sweating by the end. I wasn't sore the next day... or the day after that, because I played another hour and a half last night... but I can tell a change in my overall "balance".
The "games" all focus around improving your center of balance. I had no idea the health problems that can be caused by not centering your balance properly! I notice myself... after just two days... paying close attention to my posture, and not being so "stiff" after a day at the office.
Among my favorite activities:
Skiing- I've never been, but I felt almost like I could hop on some skiis tonight. Challenging, and puts you there on that mountain.
"Marbles"- Um, I can't remember the real name of this game, but you'll recognize it in the balance games when you see it. You move the board on the screen around, trying to drop the marbles into the holes. Too much to explain here... just know that it's really challenging and addictive. I played the beginner and advanced levels until I beat them both. But even when you beat it... the challenge is never over.
Yoga- I never tried yoga before. Truthfully, I always thought it looked stupid, and was a ridiculous excuse for exercising. Come on, standing there like a "tree", when I'm out there, whipping butt in tennis? But let me tell you, this is like having a personal yoga instructor, and you can TELL that it's tough, and rewarding.
Snowboarding- This was the most frusterating, but once I made it down the mountain and made every checkpoint after trying about 20 times (FOR REAL). I was quite thrilled with myself.
Step- This one is pretty hilarious. Think of a classic aerobic stepping class. There's also advanced step, which is ridiculously tough... and I can't wait to beat it!
Running- No balance board here. Just stick the remote in your pocked and run in place. I was DYING, not being a runner, and killing myself to get a 117% caloric burn rate in three minutes. You "chase" a Mii or a dog, and have to keep up with them. My husband, who used to run and is trying to get back into it, is pretty excited about this one.
There are tons of other games, but those are the highlights. If you need to get back into exercising, GET THIS!!!!!!! It's my new favorite "toy".

My mother says I look like an idiot running in place and twirling an invisible hula hoop. But even she loves Wii Fit for its graphs and goal setting functions, and we were both amazed by the skiing and snow boarding games.
My favorite activity is the jogging game, since I'm pretty top heavy and running has always been uncomfortable for me. With Wii Fit I can jog in the privacy of my air-conditioned living room! Of course, I could do that without Wii Fit as well, but it wouldn't be nearly as interesting, and it wouldn't give me a sense of purpose and fun. One thing that always made it hard for me to exercise was that I felt like there wasn't any point. The Wii Fit bank takes care of that, and I like committing to a goal every 2 weeks.
For someone who isn't motivated or comfortable exercising, Wii Fit is worth every penny!
UPDATE: I've been playing Wii Fit for 45min every morning for 4 days now, and I've lost 3 pounds! I feel more energized during the day, and I'm more aware of my balance/posture. Thanks Nintendo!
Very Good Choice

Wii Fit
I got my wii fit yesterday and if you don't have one you better get it fast!!!! I really enjoyed working out on the wii, mind you I still do about 45 min on the treadmill, I using the wii alone with my daily treadmill run to help build muscle. i have been sore all day especially after playing on the wii fit for 2 hours. The only thing I hate about the wii fit is you have to keep picking up the remote to do another exercise or continue the one you are doing. I hope the wii people come out with a game that is a complete work out session instead of all that stoping and picking up the remote. get the wii fitt game its worth it you won't fill guilty.
Love it!

I got this item yesterday afternoon. Thanks to Amazon for getting it here on release day! I immediately hooked it up to play. What a joy! I am 38, more than halfway now through the losing weight part, and needed a plateau breaker. The whole family is registered, and we are now all in competition to try and beat others scores. It is definitely a motivator. The Aerobics are a bit lacking (at least what I unlocked so far) other than the run, but I take daily power walks with my dog so it doesn't bother me much. I did over 30 minutes yesterday, an hour today. I can tell my legs will be hurting tomorrow.
I think this will be terrific for anyone, young and old. I am certainly far from fit, and some of these exercises are quite difficult. I know I will get better with time. What a great way to get people off the sofa! My favorites so far to "play" are the yoga and balance games, but the step game in the aerobics is fun, kinda like guitar hero for your feet! I recommend it to everyone.
shockingly entertaining; exceeded my expectations!

When I was planning on buying Wii Fit, I was unsure of how Nintendo was planning on integrating fun while still maintaining a level of fitness, but after playing for two days now, I am shocked to find that Nintendo has again exceeded my expectations! Wii Fit is an excitingly fun game that combines a perfect mixture of fit and fun. The game/balance board is a little expensive, but from my experience so far, it is worth it. Having a Wii Fit at home is great, especially now that I don't have to waste gas to drive to the gym. My gym is right in front of me, and I can enjoy working out in the comfort of my own home! So, if your losing to lose some weight and need that extra boost to get you started, Wii Fit is the best tool to buy!

Leave it to Nintendo to give us not only new games to play, but new ways to play. As guarded as I was initially about what activities would actually hold my interest, and how effective they would be, I am now doubly impressed by Wii Fit, both as a game and way to get "fit". After only 2 hours of in-game activities (mostly Yoga and Strength Training), I can already say I feel quite a soreness in me, which is awesome proof of the game's effectiveness. It is truly a new way to exercise, and is one that is both accessible and highly enjoyable at the same time. Believe the hype: Get Fit.
Wow makes me want to work out!

I have only used this now 3 times but I totally LOVE IT. I am so excited to continue to unlock new exercises and am shocked with how right on all the exercises and balancing exercises work. This is the best thing for my WII that I have never bought..

I am surprised on how cool Wii fit is. I bought one last night at retail and went home and played with it, and I was sweating up a storm after an hour and change. Here is the really good part though, my wife (who detests video games, spits at the word video games) LOVES IT. Oh yeah, she was using it for an hour, and is already talking about it today. Jackpot!
From a technical standpoint the graphics are mediocre and the sound is decent, but the wii balance pad is amazing as is the programs to choose from using. It's not like I'm sore or anything the day after, but I have a genuine desire to use it again, mainly because it's truly productive, and kinda fun. The fact that my wife loves it is only bonus points.
The exercises are great because instead of participating you are genuinely interacting. The trainers know if you are messing something up, and they'll correct you and encourage you to try again. It focuses on the weight/balance on the board so that the system knows if you are doing the exercise properly.
The only drawback is that it is only one player. LAME. It would be nice if two people could exercise simultaneously instead of having to take turns. Other than that I can see it being very beneficial as a time killer as well as being productive for your body and mind.
I'd recommend it at retail.
