A good game but could be better!!!

i after playing the game some time found that the romurers about the game's original moudle were true and is kinda boring to play but the toolset is cool it does have some problems in it like the scripts but overall the toolset is cool.
the graphics are very good.
as someone that plays D&D i could see that the game is very D&D based.
overall the game is very good but not as i thoght it would be.
my advice is to buy the game if you have someone to play with (on a diffrent computer).
hope you enjoy,
DAlien

Mindless and Dull

Despite the susposedly titanic failure of Morrowind... I have to give Neverfun Nights a horrible review. Simply put, this game is mindless and dull. I find myself talking to NPCs and wishing that I could just get on with it and do some fighting. Then I do some fighting and I wish that I could talk to some NPCs. Furthuremore, if I'm buying equipment, I find that I wish I was doing either of the above unpleasant actions. The problem is that the game is TOTALLY linear with uninventive environments and scenarios. The only reason I gave this game more than one star is that on occasion when I am feeling particularly tired, the game can be a little addictive. Sort of like Diablo 2...

Neverwinter Nights is a very fun and interesting game but it does have its quirks. For one thing the constant load screens can be a pain. Early in the game it is quite interesting but if you choose to complete every quest like me, you will level to quickly. For example my paladin/fighter is lvl 17 in the 3rd act. All in all a good game but much room for improvement

there's a 90% risk that the game is not compatible ...

The game crashed my hard drive and forced me to BUY a new one.
All of that happened after I unsuccessfully tried to install and run the game. I have a computer and engineering background, so this senario is not typical for me! I know what I'm doing and if it takes too long or if it crashes, most likely, it's not my fault!
The whole installation process was lagged (it would take several seconds for every move you'd make to respond) ... in the middle of the installation I was already frustrated but decided to finish it all the way, and then restart my system and see if it made any difference.
Well, it didn't.
I tried any display settings I could think of.
I updated (or checked for updates) on all my drivers.
I double checked anything I could possibly think of ...
and at the end, the game ran slower than a snail ... and to add insult to the injury, the next thing I knew, the infamous blue-screen was there!!! Last time I had a "blue microsoft screen" I was running windows NT, not XP!! Need I say that I was never able to recover my computer, or the data on my harddrive? I had to buy a new hard drive as the old one had been damaged beyond repair and ended up losing lots of data.
You've been warned! Buy and install at your own risk.

This game crashes every system I have tested it on

While long anticipated by D&D and Baldur's Gate fans alike, this product was released way before it completed an adequate QA cycle. I have tried to load this software onto several different machines on various versions of Windows with different hardware configurations and it crashed every single one of them! And I do not mean that the program crashes - it takes down the entire machine and you have to hard reboot and fix your file systems to recover -- even with an OS like Windows 2000. The patches do not help either. For game builders, the documentation on the scripting tools is also quite meager. My advice -- do not get your hopes up on this one and wait for version 2.0 on this product. Hopefully, they will get the bugs worked out of the product in 6-12 months and it will be better. I hope so. From all the marketing hype, it seems like it has the potential for being a terrific game. But, for now, it is version 1.0 Beta and not worth the frustration or the money ...

I you have alot of time on your hands this is a good time passer

Ok, it can have it's glitches now and then, but overall its a good way to spend your pocket change. When starting, a mage or other spellcaster is the worst pick, they range, sure but it takes awhile even in quickselect ; a ranger is far better. My advice is to make a rouge or secondary rouge to pick those locked chests and disarm the traps. This can really anger you if your killed by a trapped chest thats vital to open.plus(theories not confirmed)in the second chapter there is a door that leads somewhere that cannot be bashed with a 100+ lock on it.Another thing is the henchmen are always running off to kill a enemy while your still opening the chests in the first room.
The game itself is fun but the dungeons are difficult, even on easy mode a few moderate level monsters are lethal. I advise buying this game with an expansion pack like shadows of the undertide or ect. Despite those drawbacks overall this is a game to be on your shelf, its over 100 hours of good gaming and sure to be worth the cost

For this price, I don't see any reason for anyone who enjoys RPGs not to buy this.

The graphics are nothing spectacular now, but the storyline is absolutely amazing. The four chapters of the single player campaign will keep you -very- entertained for a long time.

The game play is easy enough (especially as a Ranger or Druid), the alignment consequences add to the 'roleplaying' aspect and there's really a lot of content there if you're into it. If you have the time and $10, get the game.

Was just ok for me

The game is put together very well, I just could not stay interested in it since it had no 1st person view on it.
