Alright i got this game a month after the release, and i admit i was quite skeptical after reading some of the reviews. When i got this game and played it for a couple hours, i relized that this was my favorite game, frankly i didnt notice the loading times, the graphics are amazing compared to many titles, and the soundtrack is great, but my only complaint is the sudden crashes (which dont happen often) but its agrivating when your pretty far in the main quest and forgot to save your game. But if you think a bit, the regular version had more bug problems, and i noticed that GOTY had a bit of a "Graphics Upgrade" then that of the original. But my only question is werent the Mud Crabes peacefull if you didnt attack them in the original? And last buy this game if you are into RPGs, and patient.
What a way to pass the time

If you liked the original Morrowind, or you are just an RPG fan, this is for you. If you have a short attention span, you migt as well stop reading this review, and look up something else. This game is extremely fun, especially the fact that there is a whole new island to explore and that you can become a werewolf. I easily got to the island called Solstheim, just by taking the Silt Striders and boats (Silt Striders are huge insect-like things that you use to move quickly from town to town). But I still wondered how to go to the places in the Tribunal expansion. Let me tell you this: Reading the manual pays off, people. All you have to do is rest somewhere (it is best to rest in a bed) but you should be armed and have a high level, because when you wake up an assassin is waiting next to you and tries to kill you. From there, you are just trying to find out who is after you and why, or you could ignore that completely and just go around and do mini quests. This is a great game for RPG fans, but don't get this if you like huge, intense warzones or battles, because this game is more peaceful, even though you can become a werewolf and maul people to death to stay alive. I don't know if it will happen soon, but this game hasn't frozen up on me yet, and I hope it won't. But get it if you like RPG's and have nothing to do while waiting for the release of Fable.
Became an RPG fan because of Morrowind...

I have played a lot of excellent titles on the XBOX but at least for me, this is the most enjoyable and greatest game ever. The details of morrowind are amazing. Take into consideration all the the landscapes and characters, the dialogue that is actually useful and the fact that millions of possibilites and routes you can take with your very own created character. I can not recall a game that had even half the choices available to the player than Morrowind. Wether you want to be a thief, crusader, sorcerer, pillager, etc. the choices are all there for. With all the sidequests available to you, everytime you load the game up - you can have a totally different adventure. There is something for every personality.
okay, I really liked this game at first.....

The open-ended behemoth that is Morrowind...started out great. I am the type of player that loves customizable characters in an rpg. I have played it on and off for months, but yesterday I put the controller down for good. This is where Morrowind fell short for me. I am at level 20, just got back to Balmora from a trip to the east(one of those buildings like Folsymarion), and I was already beating golden saints like they were red headed step children. Im sure this is due to good choices I made in enchanting my blades. I am rich beyond imagination, and now that I have "picked up" some daedric and ebony weapons, I have enchanted them to the max, and am untouchable. The point of this is, I have not even become the Nevarine yet, and there is no enemy or Dagoth that can handle me. I do not think that I should have been able to master this so soon. What is the point of going on if there is no challenge left? Sure, there's always the story...but honestly, combat and enchanting aside, Morrowind is kind of well...boring. The idea is good, but needs some work.
BEST GAME OF ALL TIME

OMG this game got me right from the create a character menu. The fact that you can totally customize a character and play them in first person and in third person to see your glorious armor is just amazing. This game is so immense and there is so much to obtain and do you will be playing for years. Literally years. This game took me 2 full years to beat every mission and obtain every item in the game. It took a nice 2 years away from my life but it was all well worth it. BUY THIS GAME for the Xbox...it'll occupy you for years!!! LITERALLY. Check out the newest editon from the Elder Scrolls Series- Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion will be released for the Xbox2 and PC. I saw screenshots and it is by far the most updated graphic engine I have ever scene. Buy Morrowind and get and just get lost in. You will be totally obsessed!!

I spent hours upon hours of walking around in this game. Plus, the combat system was terrible. It took literally 10 tries to hit someone. The cities were way to large, and the maps were very confusing. Unless you want to spend HOURS walking around and jumping, pass this game up.
fun if you have a lot of time...

I am in 6th grade, so you all know how much homework I have. This is one of those games that most of us have expirienced, where the game is the best game ever, then suddenly it's like a chore.
The storyline: (I have only played the game about 1/4 of the way through, so I dont know if you can be a king, knight etc.) Of the parts I played, the storyline was... boring. At least it had one.
Grapics: When I played I gave the graphics about 6/10. It was definetly not Xbox360 quality. First of all, the men (and women!) walked like they were trying to pinch of a fart, they were basically doing the duck-walk.
Controls: I thought that the controls are pretty slick, except that when you jump, at times it can be glitchy
Gameplay: I found it stressed me out. You walk across the continent for a letter, (attacked on the way) earn 5 gold, walk alllllll the way back, just for a thank-you.
game environment: This is the most amazing part, there seems to be endless terrain, which is good, Bethesda needs to work on having more fun stuff to do while walking across the land.
Replay: (If you could get to the end you would have gone insane) VERY LOW
If you have finished the game, please leave a comment for me.
Overall, sell your xbox, get a 360, and get oblivion. If you don't have a job, and hours of time on your hands you MIGHT like this, but overall, heed my warning STAY AWAY

This would be a great game if it didn't freeze up over 12 times per hour of gameplay. It freezes up after a certain point in the game, and will not let me play any further.
great game

I am a rpg type of person.
i havent yet played the game much yet cause of runescape which has really been addicting but i have played for a few hours on the game.
i mainly steal, kill and run away from guards and ppl and i plan on how to kill a shop keeper and then get the bounty off my head.
I have done a few quests but not many soo far i always get lost :(
but the game is great, slow loading but fine with me as long as the game is good.
the reason i gave the game a 5 durability because the game hasnt broken on me yet.
Hope u enjoy the game....:)
