Madden 2002 is the best game for PS2 thus far. The graphics are unbelievable and best of all you can create your own players and teams.

Next to GT3, this game has me very happy that I bought my PS2. This game is very impressive and this is coming from someone who has owned both this title and NFL 2K on Sega. The realism (right down to the last beer call in the 3 quarter while playing in the metrodome) and the statistical part of this game seems more accurate than any football game before. I have read some reviews on this site for this game and it just seems as though some people just want to complain. This is a very, very solid game and I'm impressed with it. I also like the EAsy play option. I got my girlfriend to play against me in the EAsy mode and she had a blast playing it. This mode made it easy for someone to just pick it right up and learn the controls of the game. So, it suits both the experts and the beginners. I'd recommend this game to anyone who is even a slight fan of football!>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Madden reminds me of those old Friday the 13th movies,you know whats going to happen not much different than the previous but you have to get it.Overall a good game but there seems to be some lag between play calling and onfield play screens,maybe its just my system,so the plot thickens.The players look alot better this go round as well as the coaches,this year they dont have those big scary looking fly eyes..I thought my team was stoned by their facial expressions last season.If you dig football give it a shot.Go Bucs!!

First the good stuff! Graphics & Audio was SPECTACULAR! Much improved from the last one! There were times I actually thought I was watching a real game on ABC!
What really disappointed me was the lack of plays to choose from. You really could not do much but run the same plays. I never found the QUARTERBACK SNEAK play, if there is one!

This is a good football sim. Fairly realistic (except for those times when the CPU cheats cause its losing). I liked the franchise mode the best, but I only made it through a season before getting bored. Rent it before you buy it.

This game is AWESOME!! I was a die hard Gameday fan but after playing the Gameday 2002 then Madden 2002 there is only 1 choice and Madden is it. This game helps the novice to the highly competitive player. I found that the gane offered more than just playing football. Franchise mode lets you own an existing NFL team or create an expansion team. You get to pick the players, coach's & playbook. You also get to choose from a variety of expansion cities from Sacramento to Honolulu Hawaii. If you are looking to buy a football game then buy Madden 2002. I did!

First of i havent played a madden game since "94" ....were talking SEGA GENIUSES! Now i got this game way cheap and i know madden 2003 is right around the corner but i couldnt resist.Franchise mode is the joint make a coach pick up free agents (with good negoateations!!!) and make a home town team (depensing on where you live) but bring on 2003 by then i'll be ready ..but untill then GET THIS GAME AS A TUNE UP!!!!! OR PRATICE.

This game Is going be hard to top.It looks on the first glance like last year's game but when you sat down with It you the Improvements In graphics and gameplay.I feel like I am watching a real game at times.All of the great teams past and present and the dynasty mode make this the one to get.That sega game, which Is a more arcade type of game, does that stand a chance against this one.
