Best Madden ever.

If you want details then you are buying the best game. The people on the sidelines move out of the way if they are about to get slammed by a running back. The game play is very good except I found making diving tackles difficult, the player falls a little short at times. Madden is still the best out there, don't give into Sega.

This game is awsome and I do recomend this, but if you are above the rookie stage it is almost impossible to even make a first down. I give this a four because the new playstation 2 is about better graphics, and this game has awsome graphics!

This i think is the best football game of the year folks- MADDEN 2002. I played 2001, it was OK, Then i played 2002, COULDNT GET MY HANDS OFF THE CONTROL. But seriously, the franchise is pretty much the same, but more better free agents, better picks to get in the draft, and the graphics will BLOW you away. Unfourtanely like some other people, i would actually have to give this about 4 2/3. The reason for the one third is because the passing game can be very tough at times. And the computer is good on pretty much every level, EXCEPT Rookie. I also love the training/practice mode. And the NEW HOUSTON TEXANS INCLUDED. THE GAME SPECIALIST. IF ITS IN THE GAME, ITS IN THE GAME, SO JUST BUY THE GAME!

The game rules. Period.

The plays are great, hot routes are great, create your own player is great (hearing your own name as you walk up to run the offense on your favorite team), and the franchise mode is awesome with the draft and free agents (get Ray Lewis and Bubba Franks in their prime...)

Until you can master the All-Madden level, don't talk about how challenging the game is or how easy it is to run the ball... On All Pro, you can win almost every game, but on All-Madden, you'll have a difficult time running for over 100 yards a game!

Great buy, my favorite playstation game. I've played 14 years in the franchise mode and still can't put it down!

This is the game... If you don't like this game something is truly wrong you. The gameplay is fantastic and the realism is amazing. The franchise mode puts you right in the driver seat in your quest to leading your team to the super bowl. If you choose NFL 2K2 over this, that is just to bad, because you don't know any better. This is truly a must have, TRUST ME!!!

I like almost everything on this game exept that it's H-A-R-D hard. Also, interceptions? 1 per 1000 games! I even had it to the lowest difficulty, and I can't intercept. One more thing. The offensive line.........................is weak. Almost every time I'm on offense, the defense gets by, which is especially bad on runs and causes sacks. Three, because of everything else.

Simply the best!!!

(...) This game is much better than Madden 2001. I mean the old football games are good but the thing that got on my nerves were those (...) calls by the refs. In this game you can challenge the call. Not to mention all the awesome stuff. Like franchise and all that. This game just rocks. If you are looking to get this for someone like your son or brother or whatever, don't hesitate, just buy it.

Madden 2002 is one of the best games I have EVER played. The graphics are amazingly phoenominal on this game. Madden 2002 has several playing modes and since it's a sports game it has almost an unlimited replay value. Ever since i bought this game I have only stopped playing it when I rented other games. It is a must buy for any NFL fan.

The Graphics are wonderful, and I love the gameplay. This is the best game I've ever Played for any Game console, It just doesn't get boring. I've owned and played so many other games, not just on game consoles, but also computer, and this tops them all. By this I mean, I've played this game more than I've ever Played any other game Before, and Im still loving it, and it seems every season in my franchise, the computer gets harder. If you Don't play the game on Madden(skill level), the computer (experience is bad), and is predictible. On Madden(skill level, hardest level) he mixes it up. the computer is smarter in this game then in any other football game I've ever played.
(...) We've had the game for four months and we have been through 5 seasons(7 minute games, so our players get in leader rankings, and makes more realistic), and it gets better every season. I don't know what we would do without this game. the youngest of us three is 17, so its great for all ages, assuming it would be better for the younger age groups(which is probably true).
Don't buy any other football game before you buy this game, it would be a waste of money. (OH, if you got a old TV, all sports games in game play look kinda blurry, gotta get High Def, looks so real). Once my Father walked in the room on a sunday, and sat down to wacth the game, thinking it was actually a sunday football game(no joke).
All you need is madden 2002 to make your life complete. If possible, Just buy it for PS2, I have it for Gamecube, Xbox and Ps2, The controller for PS2 is best to play Madden, much easier to use.

This game is definetly one of a kind. Every aspect in the game is a blast. You can do things from as simple as play a scrimage, to have your own fantasy team, make your own custom team, 2 minute drill, training mode, and much more.

There is one feature that I particularly liked. This was the Madden Cards. These were cards that you would recieve for completing a Madden challenge during a game. These challenges were as easy as complete a 30 yard pass to as hard as record 2 safties in one game, or gain 200 yards passing with two different players in one game. The game has around 100 challenges. Once you complete a challeng, you get points. Once you get 100 points, you can buy a pack of cards. Then, you can use the cards during games. The packs are filled with mostly actual player crads, and some special cheat cards. The actual player cards give you ratings boosts and the cheat cards give you special advantages such as unlimited field goal range for the half.

Another amazing aspect to this well-rounded game is the instant replays. Playing a 10 minute game takes me about a half an hour because I am always spending time watching my the replay. When you watch the replays, you can control everything. You control the speed and the camara. Also, if you have a bone-crushing tackle, or a cirus-like catch, and want to show your frineds, you simply save the replay and you have it to show anytime you want. After some plays, the game goes into an automatic replay, which I love becuase they always find the most interesting, fun camera angle. Believe me, the instant replays alone are a good enough reason to buy this game.

I could go on for a long time telling you everything that makes this game so great, but I dont want to spoil it. This is an amzing game that is a guaranteed favorite, and a must have for all PS2 owners. It is the most versatile and most fun game I have ever played. BUY IT!!!
