I just can't say enough good things about this game. It is definately a must own if you have a PS2. This is one of my favorite games of all time. The graphics are beautiful, the game pace is frantic, and the controls are nearly perfect. The only down side to this game is that there wasn't enough of it. I suppose they did that to leave you hankering for the sequal, I know I am.

Onimusha is a good game, i would recommend it to anyone. Although it's rather short in length it makes up in game play- a definitely good purchase.

Onimusha: Warlords is an epic saga of 16th century Japan when warlords fought brutal hand-to-hand battles for rulership and power. The game weaves actual historical accounts and Capcom's own fictional storylines into one epic drama. Taking place in Feudal Japan (1560), Onimusha is set in the civil war time ruled by the feared warlord Nobunaga Oda.

An Epic Masterpiece...

In a world of darkness and magic, power hungry warlords battle one another for control of feudal Japan. At the height of the chaos, a young princess is kidnapped. Now, one lone swordsman, Samanosuke, boldly volunteers to rescue and avenge the noble princess. But in these dark and mysterious times, even Samanosuke does not realize the desperation of his mission. An entire legion of demon warriorsstands between him, the princessand triumph!

Game Features:

Revolutionary "background animation" technology - backgrounds come alive with waterfalls, wind effects, insects, weather and more

Unrivaled realism - characters come alive with realistic emotion and character animation

Stunning motion picture quality, CG movies- a TRUE cinematic gaming experience!

The game itself is alright but it has too many flaws to make it anygood. First of all the controls are just plain bad and the graphics aren't great either. You also can't skip automated scenes you've already seen and the storyline is nothing special. The battle system I have to admit was alright but as the for the rest of the game... Anyway, if you're interested in the game go out and rent it before you think of buying it.

One of the PS2's grade 'A' titles, Onimusha plays just as good as it looks. Some of the puzzles are indeed mind bending but nevertheless fun to figure out. One complaint about this game is that its too short so you'll long for more. Thankfully, Capcom implemented a 10 second trailer of the sequel and also, when you beat this game, you can tell a sequel will be inevitable. Onimusha 2 is currently slated for a March 2002 release in Japan with a US release soon to follow.

I think Onimusha was best game I played so far for the PS2. It was like Resident Evil 2 but much better. I mean the controlls were pretty easy, and the cinemas were fantastic!!! The beginning cinema was breathtaking and marvelous. Plus, the story line was good. However, the game was a little short, but still it was fun. Man, i can't wait for onimusha 2!

Best PS2 game I've ever played!!

The game is very long, complicated, challenging, good animations, and a lot of surprise attack. Very different with other Adventure/RPG PS2 games that have a lot movie scenes, but less actions. I also like the topic of this game that has relationship with oda nobunaga and demons. The ending scene also good too, makes me think and curious about it. Other thing that I like is the PANDA COSTUME. It's soooooo cuteeeee!! When the 1st scene appeared, I couldn't stop laughing at it, the moving little panda in Samanosuke's panda costume also cute too. When Samanosuke's action figures are released in stores, absolutely I'm going to buy it!! GOOD JOB CAPCOM!!!

I think this is by far the best game i ever played for the PS2 with the exception of being way to short. As soon as I received my game, I started playing it and could not stop. I played it for 6 hours straight until i beat it. Everything about this game is so awesome. The only thing that sucks about it is that it is way to short.

Great Story Line

This is a great Ps2 game. The grafics are fantastic. The story line is really great too. But, the game has some flaws in it. I like the fighting system in it. I reminds me of the resident evil fighting style. The control is very difficult for players who arent used to the Resident Evil type of push foward to go backwards and left for right. The voices were cool but the lips moving totaly different with the lips was annoying. And the game was hard to play for long periods of time. The longest i played it was 30 mins in a row. It is just an average game with some really good but bad points. Good game though. Rent before you buy it.

This game is awsome!!

Onimusha is my favorite PS2 game out now. This game is the kind of game where you cant get up. The place where you can save is always far from Samanosuke (your character). Then when you save you still dont want to stop. I got grounded because I didnt want to get up and refused to leave when my mom told me too. This games graphics is great. I loved the game and the end was really cool but then I was disapointed with something at the end but I will let you get the game and figure it out....and this game is definitally worth it.
