Great, albeit a little short

Capcom did a great job putting this game together. I loved not having to run away from enemies so I could hold on to ammunition as in Resident Evil. That made the game a heck of a lot more fun in my opinion; you could go after every bad guy in the game. In addition the game is incredibly polished and holds your attention throughout. However because of the game's short length and no major goodies (except for the mini-game, which is original) after you beat it, it is difficult to give this game five stars. If you're not thinking about buying it, rent it and you can probably beat it over the weekend if you play enough.

Didn't like it at first but..

This game is pretty good. At first, I was irritated by the storyline and voice acting. It's a pretty basic story with mystical hints added here and there. The action is great though. When you kill enemies, you collect their souls to enhance your own weapons and items. This does give you a legitimate reason to hack and slash your way through the game- so killing enemies does have its benefits. The game gets good after a while. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS before you play because you will have a hard time figuring out what the three meters are on the upper left side. One is magic, one is energy and the other is a soul count (of souls you have collected). If you are not impressed by the game at first, keep playing! It only gets better as the story develops. The characters are kind of shallow but overall this game does carry it's own weight.

Finally, a Ps2 Killer Ap

Finally, Onimusha: Warlords has arrived to the US shores and it's a damn good game !!! The Graphics are very good and the prerendered backgrounds are good. The voice acting is the best on Ps2 right now. The average gamer can beat it in about 10 Hours, Hardcore gamers in 4 or 5 hours. I've beat the game three times and it has plenty of extras, including a Onimusha 2 trailer when you beat it. Onimusha: Warlords should be on every gamer's library, a must buy nuff' said.

Thats is what i think most people will be saying after playing this game. Capcom has done it again! Bringing us another game in which you can get into the main character and want to pay attention to the storyline. Its true this is another Resident Evil style game, just like Dino Crisis, but i personally love this style game. The graphics are incredible. The opening movie will stun you and make it appear you can just touch the characters. The game of course starts off slow but soon really picks up. The only part I dont like is the length of the game and well the bosses seem to be a little to easy, but this game in my opinion is definatly worth the money. If you are a fan of Resident evil style games........this is a must have!!!!!!!!

You wanna have fun???

One day on the first month of February I picked up a game called Onimusha Warlords. I didnt think much of the game but since the game's background took place in Japan i decided to get it because I was japanese to. I thought this game was going to be one of those games u got because u had a certain connection to the game and I thought I was going to sell it back to the store anyways and it was only 18 dollars. When i came back from the store to my friends house and I put the disc in his Playstation. Boy I was damn wrong. I am not even going to waste my time and screw it up for all the gamers who havent played this special game yet, but I can tell everybody that this was the most fun I have had with my Playstation 2 in a while since Vice came out. I beat this game 5 times in a week and a half so u can expect that this game is short. I hope you have had as much fun as I had playing this game.

bland story save the princess.u might get paronoid u will feel like ur in the game even when ur not playing it which can be a bad thing.bad controls and camera.confusing at times.but its a fun game overall beat these zombies to death and when there down u can stick ur sowrd in them which is a good affect.if ur not into survival horror then u might not be able to play it all the time cause its not one of those games u can put it in and play when u dont feel like it and have fun(like gta).If u liked resident evil and think sorwds are cool this is a must have. But i cant recommend it to everyone.

I know it's been said many times already, but here is the review that sums it up.

Excellent game! Yeah, the dubbing is bad but who cares, the movies are still pretty good. Fighting and general game play rock, as well as the overall storyline. No one should be disappointed in these attributes.

Now the disappointment. It is pretty easy to finish in a short amount of time. (Great for sports, but not a good quality for an action/adventure game.) Although I may play through it one more time, that will be it. I remember Zelda for N-64 took me weeks to finish, playing it a little every day, but finishing this in just a couple days is kind of weak. (I know Zelda does not compare on many other attributes, but just making a point.) These action/adventure developers need to stretch the value of our purchases a little further. I literally could have finished the game with one 5 day rental from Blockbuster.

After seeing the trailer for Onimusha 2 at the end of the game, I think all of us who bought it should get discounted versions of the sequel. Wishful thinking, I know.

Fantastic Game

The best game currently available on PS2: Onimusha Warlords. The game is short by Resident Evil standards, yet that is only due to the fact that the game does not force you to backtrack all the way through the level in order to find something you may have missed. This, in my opinion, is not a negative.

The action is fast and furious, combined with some great Japanese voice acting and some adequate English voice work. The game is on a DVD disc, and takes approximately 8 in-game hours to complete. Those eight hours do not include the many times you will die without saving, thus easily adding another three to four hours to overall gameplaying time.

One thing worth mentioning is the overall polished feel the game exhibits. The presentation is very welldone, and Capcom is known for quality titles. Onimusha does not disappoint.

This game is a masterpiece in everyway imaginable. If you want a game to show off your PS2, this is it!

It's the survival-horror game for people who don't like survival-horror games.

Buy it.

Resident Evil + Legacy of Kane = Great Fun

Basic resident evil appearance, soul-devouring legacy of kane idea, very good combination. Great graphics, the only problem being the mouths are sometimes terribly out of sync w/ the words. Easy to control, had great fun hacking some people up, and fairly creative weapons. I think it could have been a little longer, and the dark realm a little less repetitive, but still a good game. Don't waste the money renting it, save the $5 and just go buy the thing.

This game was one of the best games by far. It has a great plot and is action packed, and fun. The game is legendary, and I thought Marcellus was kick ass. Japenese people rock!
