This game is one of the most inspiring games Capcom Co. has ever made. The game controls are out standing. Its so good My 9 year old cousin knows the handling by heart.I'd give it a 5 star because he moves, storyline, characters, speech, and culture are my type of game Genre. This game is the best RPG game there is.Many
number and word puzzles make it more difficalt. It just needs one more thing added to this game,More bosses. This game is awsome!

This is most definetly one of the best single player Ps2 games available. It is not just a hack/slash game (though it has plenty of that). Onimush allows for weapons upgrade, varying special attacks, puzzles, and a secret at the end of the game if 20 pieces of a certain item are found. Not to mention the great graphics and AI that the Ps2 has to offer. Onimusha delivers it all. The controlls are a little cumbersum at first, but once you get the hang of it there is nothing stopping your blade. The only drawback is that it could be longer (I would take away one star for its shortness, however, it deserves 5 for game play). Other than that it is a well rounded, fun game with an enthraling story-line, and great opening movie. Great to rent or buy.
Sweet game

Samanosuke!! You'll be screaming that too once you play this game. The opening scene is graphically amazing and the rest of the game has amazing graphics too. The game play is a little tough (You have to push up to go forward no matter which way you're facing) but other than that I can't complain. It's pretty bloody too, with a great stab move when the enemy is on the ground. All in all, I good game to buy.
This game is ... Buy it now!!

This game is the best video game I have EVER PLAYED!! If you like violent, destructive, and 'sorta sick in some ways' games, then get it now!! It's got GREAT special effects and blood. What's nice is when you ... 'monsters/demons', they desinegrate. It's soo cool. And the monsters are absolutely fascinating. They're horned/spiked/have armor on and they look fantastically cool. You have got to get Onimusha Warlords. If you don't, I'll feel sorry for your PS2.

kudos to the graphics people but the story line was a little hard to follow. the dubbing is just about the worst i had ever heard on any game, resident evil was bad but at least it was correct, gramaticly... err most of the time. as far as game play it takes resident evil and makes some improvements. the crapy magic box that you can access items from is gone and the inventory is much more streamline. still dont know why they cant make a game that you can save at any place, take a hint from PC games please. i still have to beat it because it switches character mid game but the monsters are much harder while the alternate character cant do jack. a definate balance problem. i have no mem card but so far i havent needed one. this game is fun but i sorta wished i didnt spend 50 bucks for it
Resident Evil with a Samurai Sword!!!!!

Basically, the only thing that anyone might say is wrong with this game is the length of it. Don't listen to these people! The game ends at the perfect place, and doesn't drag on forever like many games out there. This game has beautiful graphics, an intriguing storyline, and samurai swords up the ying-yang. Out of all the games for the PS2 that I've played, this is by far the greatest. If you buy only one game in the near future, make sure it's Onimusha.

This is a great game with awsome graphics and a wonderful plot. One of the reasons it is so great is because it's a action adventure/puzzle/sratagy. Plus it's based of real acient Japanese generals.
bushimon sword is the best

I have resident evil, 1,2 and 3. I bought onimusha warlords because I was looking for dynasty warriors instead, but the store didn't have it. Boy am I glad I got this game. I played it through once, got the panda suit that is fun to watch, played it again, got all the flourite pieces to unlock mini game which was challenging at first but I soon beat it, which allowed me to start the game with the bishamon sword, it kills normal enemies with one hit and bosses with only a few. Plus you get unlimited magic and if you beat the game with a s rank (under 3 hours, 600 killed enemies, 55,000 souls absord--sounds harder than you think) you get a special dragon costume (a dress with wings and a tail) for kaede. This game is cool and so is the mini-game. I can't wait until the 2nd one comes out.
Good Game, not much replay though...

Let's face it, Capcom has made a name for themselves with games like this (surival horror). From the Resident Evil series to Dino Crisis to Onimusha: Warlords (I'm sure I am leaving out others), they seem to know what they are doing. I liked playing this game, once. After that, it's really hard to get back into. But because I played it once and not again, doesn't make it a bad game. It's just you reach a point where in the game industry that once you played it, it's time to move on to the next game. If you are like me and other obligations have to be met (work, school, social life, every day chores) then you are limited for play time. If I had more time, I would love to explore more of Onimusha because it's a real nicely made game. Most of the times though, I would love to just pop in a quick game (like Tekken Tag, DOA2 or Midnight Club) and play for bit. But as for my rating, I had a hard time deciding, then I thought of the games out there for PS2. There are not many games and this is one of the better ones. So, if you want a hack and slash Resident Evil, then this is for you. Great graphics!!! Great sound!! Easy controls... What more can I say. Not much of a PS2 library,so this one shines at the top.
