This Game is awesome! It Wraps you in a the 3-D world of Jak and Daxter. The Graphics are amazing and the game is really fun. It has something for everyone. From huge battles to hard core puzzles, this game has it all. It feels like your in the game with the characters. From the grumpy green sage to the estatic Daxter this game takes real characteristics and puts them into a digital world. Naughty Dog you Rock!

I got this game for christmas of 2002 along with ps2, which was my first game system. After palying 2 other games (crazy taxi and stuntman), I put Jak and Daxter in the ps2 and immediately i was blown away. The graphics are great(not as good as jak 2)and the story is interesting and kinda funny. Here's a list of pros and cons I made up...

Pros...great graphics
great story
characters are funny
no loading scenes in between levels
if a challenge is to hard you can skip it and come back
later
not even the bad guys at the end are too hard to defeat

cons...only one
the boggy swamp level of the game is sooo boring. Whenever i get to it I just do it fast to get it over with

the first time i beat this game it took three months of playing for ten minutes before bed every night. The second time i added an extra challenge of collecting all of the precursor orbs in every level. That made the game twice as hard.

Overall jak and daxter is a great game and is deffinitely worthy of a five star rating!

It is the coolest!

jak and daxter is just plain awful. the whole thing is grocely overated i mean common this is a kids game. jak a teenager who acts cool and tough and looks like an idiot while doing it. and daxter some dumb little fuzzball who jeers him after he dies. oh yeah there some team arent they. the storyline is bad the game lacks creativity and excitement like you wouldnt beleive. the music is crap and the graphics are pretty poor for playstation 2. everytime jak dies daxter says something thats supposed to be funny but its downright pathetic how much this happens. the music dosent even sound like anything and theres no special challenges all you do is collect eggs and power cells. the characther designs are an embarrasement to the ps2 as the detail looks like something displayed in a old nintendogame. the game is just too dumb jak never talks and daxter talks too much. its a very bad game dont buy it get rachet and clank or spyro year of the dragon for psone. youll be giving yourself 1000 whys if you purchase this grocely overated lame peice of garbage. plus the challenges are tedious and unfair as you will not understand what youre doing during the game. and the controllers are very bad youll be falling off bridges for no reason. do not buy this its terrible. please just rent it if you must play it.

Jak and Daxter is a game you have to play to really enjoy it, it has every kind of good thing you'd like to see. mixing jak 2 and jak and daxter is the best thing on earth, just totally awesome. very very very cool.

Ok, I thought this game was pretty good. But hey, I was only eight when I got it. I've seen alot of people saying it stinks. Most of these people are allowed to Ratchet and Clank. I've never played it. I'll put it in specific terms: if you aren't allowed to play alot of T games, this game rocks.
Pros: Awesome graphics
Cons: Too short

This game ROCKS! But one thing only. Daxter looks so dorky as a human. Plus-Jak never talks. So why am I giving it five stars? Because its the game-play that counts! From the zoomer to the Flut-Flut the Forbidden Forest is my favorite. Its to bad Daxter stopped Jak and Keira from kissing. I bet this game will still have some hype in the next generation. Remember...always expect the unexpected.

This game is as good as MGS2!

This game is one of the best games I've ever played ever since MGS2!This game easily deserves 5 Stars ever since you start playing it!Ya know what's the funny thing about Jak is?He looks like a Super Saiyan from DragonBall!I think Jak And Daxter and Metal Gear Solid 2 both are equal.

all the worlds are so such rich in color and imiganative. theres some best buys and crappy buys out there. but whatever you do you wont wanna let this or rachet and clank going commando pass you by.

The most hatable group of characters gets a decent game.

Let me start by talking about the end of this game, which is unforgivable. Let me provide fair warning that after dedicating many hours to finding every little item Jak & Daxter asks you to find, you're going to be severely let down.

Okay, on to the game. Jak & Daxter is a very basic platformer. There are no "things to do" in the game outside of running, jumping, and collecting. Sometimes the game makes you drive a vehicle, but these instances are more frustrating than fun. Plus, the game's characters (ESPECIALLY Jak & Daxter) are a bunch of ugly little jerks, which doesn't particularly give you much incentive to see this character-based game all the way through.

However, now that it's only $20 it's probably worth your while, but only if you like platformers. The world is expansive and fun to explore; you will never have the fun and quick acrobat-style movement that Mario had on the N64, though. These guys move pretty slowly, and jump pretty short distances.

None of this detracts from the fact that the graphics are beautiful and fun to observe, though.

Pick up Jak & Daxter if you already own Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper and are hankering for another platformer. Otherwise, there are better ways to spend your buck.
