WORST PLATFORMER EVER!

This game really wore on my nerves; on my last nerve, if the truth must be known. Fine, I will admit that the graphics are decent and the story so-so, but the game play--THE most important element of video games, people--is complete garbage. I haven't been this disappointed since playing Blood Omen 2. Camera angles are awful, tending to work against you (okay, in this respect, I'll try and be fair: when it comes to camera angles, most games, nowadays, could use some major improvements). In my defense, I've played enough platformers to know the difference between a challenge and a chore. This game was a hassle from start to finish, an absolute waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and buy either game from the Ratchet and Clank series. They are ten times more user friendly, and a hundred times more entertaining. Oh, yes, and just so you know, I beat this hunk of junk in a day.

this game is so stupid. its easy has basically no gameplay and is childish all the way trough. the gameplay is horrible most of the time youre just looking for something to do because of the lack of action. the bad guys can be knocked down with one hit and the boss battles are a BIG joke. the game is easy childish has a stupid storyline. the controls are extremely difficult to understand. the graphics are excellent but who cares if theres nothing to do. i mean i reaally dont get the popularity of this. i think rachet and clank is way better. make sure you pass thisv one by just rent it if you must play it. i encouurage you to buy rachet and clank over jak and daxter.

jak and daxter is the most overated game of all time. yes the graphics are excellent. but you know as well as i that graphics dont make a game gameplay does. and that in fact is what jak and daxter completely lacks. they give you a huge amount of space and very little action. most of the time youre wanderingaround looking for something to do. you collect eggs and powercells thats pretty much it so the game is pointless. the boss fights are a joke the bad guys need one touch and the characthers look awful. the game is basically an easy kids game and i wouldnt recomend it to anybody more than 12 years of age. the camera angles are very bad the controllers ... and nothing is really intresting. and the little amount of game jak will provide you with is extremely childish. i urge you to rent this game its not worthy of purchasing. i would recomend to you rachet and clank or jak and daxters roughet tougher seqeul jak 2.

spyros better than jak and daxter.

i cant stand this game its so stupid. it consists of one very big very stupid world full of these little stupid trinkets to collect. i mean youre running around collecting eggs in in one big stupid annoying world full of crappy camera angles and poorly executed scenarios. the characthers are the very definition of DUMB and the controllers are very akward. the music is very dull as if there was no effort at all put into it. and the relaxed atmosphere of the game makes you sick of playing it. i cant stand it it has these stupid nintendo style missions. hey if i wanted a nintendo 64 i would have gotten one. this game really dosent fit on with the playstation 2. and how annoying can daxter be everytime you die he gives you a mouthload. he never shuts up and hes not funny either. sure maybe teenaged girls would think so but seriously he has an awful pitch to his voice that makes him horrible to listen to. all in all jak and daxter is a lame boring nintendo like game i cant STAND THIS HORRIBLE EXCUSE FOR A GAME. its so dumb its for little kids only. get spyro instesead its for psone but it blows this one AWAY.

i cant beleive this game. what is with the poularity of jak and daxter. i dont get it one bit i dont understand all the good things said about it. i think it sucks. its sort of like a mario game and we call know that pile of crud dosent deserve to be near a ps2 as he is well near his deathpoint. i am thourghly disappointed by jak and daxter in every way possible. its got boring characthers boring music crappy controls an awful storyline and bassicly nothing to do inside the levels. ijust cant find myself getting into it. theres nothing really all that great about it. the graphics are a plus for jak and daxter but thats all. basicly weve seen it done before many times weve even seen it done on n64. if youre a living in the past and are a big fan of super mario this games for you. but if you wanna join ps2 gamers and gamers of the NEW generation youll have to look elsewhere.

I can't belive that this is even out there! I am SO DISSAPOINTED! Daxter is nothing but a furry rodent that annoys you every 5 seconds. This game is not very good. Instead, get Jak II or Ratchet and Clank. You will not be dissapointed by those two games. Avoid this at all cost!

jak and daxter i must say is one of the worst games ive ever played. the characthers are garbage the storyline is sloppily and the music is so unmemorable. it starts you off by making you sit trough a crappy cut scene. the characther designs in this game are simply poor. in the begining some awfully desingned fat old green man gives you instruction then shouts get out of here. the games characther personality elemants are simply pathetic no characthers are likeable and can be bonded with nore does anybody say anything even remotely funny. in to the buildup i would have expected good graphics i was right on that but wheres the scenery everything is so choppy looking. its just a bunch of rocks and grass nothing no extrodinary detail or background animations to flavor it a little. its just a bunch of simple stuff and after this buildup i would have expected a little better. the amount of detail in characthers is also quite poor and the controllers are kind of tricky. when jak walks he simply looks pathetic the controllers are bad and the music is horrible i could make better music with my mouth. its almost totally unplayable for me im surrounded by so many trees its unbelivable. it gets annoying that everything looks so average your surrounded by trees the characthers are annoying you have an annoying sidekick the music is garbage and the controls are hard what a waste of money. ill tell you this any game from the crash bandicoot seres beats this without a doubt. i say that because there playable its not just trashy trees like in jak and daxter. its a real game with fun characthers jak and daxter is nothing more than an average tree poluted peice of trash with a geeky blond supposive superheroe and a dumb little annoying rodent. get a game in the spyro crash or rachet and clank series. jak and daxter is the worst platform game ive played in a very long time and barely even deserves the star i gave it above. for people that do like it id love to hear reasons why go ahead and play rachet and clank then youll know what a good game is supposed to be. it sure isent this one jak and daxter is so annoying and worthless i wouldent even recomond wasting 4 bucks at the video store for it. what an awful sloppily exucuted barely playable at times games i have purchased. i really dont understand the build up of this one. holy high heavens its not even as good as spyro enter the dragonfly. even newcomers to the playstation 2 would be disappointed at the way this one plays. IT IS QUITE SIMPLY THE WORST GAME IVE EVER PLAYED.what i would recomend is that you STAY AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY FROM THIS GAME. ITS THAT BAD.

This game sucks, I don't know why so many people like it. It is very childish and can sometimes get really tireing. When you die that stupid Daxter bothers you sometimes I just wanted to kill Daxter. It is frustrating also, especially when you have to do the yellow ecovent mission. Do yourself a favor and buy one of these games Final Fantasy X , Fatal Frame , any Final Fantasy game , Unreal Tournament and coming soon Final Fantasy X-2 and Fatal Frame Crimson Butterfly. I hope this was helpful.

Jak and Daxter- Very Confusing!

I would just like to know right now if i am the ONLY person who has completed the first level and it wont let you go to the second. Becuase of this i took the game back and used the money to buy the best game in video game history- Grand Theft Auto III!
Go buy GTA3!!
