Super Smash Bros. Brawl continues on what Nintendo did in Melee. The game is fun and the new modes are great.

I bought this game after having played its Game Cube version. My high expectation has been met above and beyond. It's great fun - especially the Subspace Emissary that I play with my 7-yr-old daughter because we get to team up as different characters to beat up the bad guys within a storyline format. One place though that I had mistakenly thought had a "glitch" in the Adventure Mode was where Fox and Diddy Kong team up: they fall into a black hole that they can't seem to get out of. We found out after several frustrating minutes that Fox can use his fire weapon to smash through the blackness. (When you get into this hole, you'll know what I mean.) Overall, this game is worth every penny!

For those of you who say there are no good fighting games on the Wii, just check out SSBB. The environments are immersive and the gameplay is top notch. Online play makes it even better and replay value is superb! Very highly recommended!
Dual Layer Disc Issues

When I first got SSBB, I popped it into my Wii and got a disc read error. Disc was in great shape and after some searching online, apparently this is an issue with a "small percentage of Wiis" (quote from Nintendo's website). I had to set up a repair order with Nintendo to have them clean my Wiis DVD lens and they also request that you send your copy of the game with your Wii. The process was relatively painless and they were very quick about it, but I was without my Wii for a few days.
With that said, great game. Smash Bros. for the Wii was my first exposure and the game has been a blast. I would definitely recommend it to any Wii owner. I would suggest it even more strongly to anyone who has had any disc read errors with their Wii in the past, as buying this game will get you a free ticket to have Nintendo clean your DVD drive lens.

Good game and lots of different scenarios. It is family friendly with violence appropriate for children.

This game is a great party / multi-player game. The controls are very intuitive and you can adjust the balance to level the playing field between skilled players and button mashers.
If you have played a Smash Bros before, this one will feel very familiar.
The single-player campaign is much improved over previous Smash Bros games, but its not worth buying just for single player.

This is a great game. But I knew it would be. Thank you, Amazon.com. You had a Nintendo promotion and I got it for a great price. Thank you.

This game has all of your favorite characters that you grew up playing with in the nintendo system. You have 2 ways of playing, one is the challenge mode where each player picks a character to fight, while the other one is the adventure mode where you follow the story. In this mode you get to use all the characters which will teach you how to use them for one-on-one combat. By far one of the most entertaining games for the wii system. Even my daughters enjoy kicking my butt on the one on one challenge and they are only 6 yrs old.
