* Do the Nintendogs go to the restroom?
* Do you get to name your Pup,or you have to pick a name like is?
* Do you have a house or...??
* When you take your pup out walking can your route be very long?

This game is awsome! Don't listen to the PSP people. It is NOT going to come out for PSP ok? Now, fact one the label(and all avertisment)clearly states that this product is ONLY AVADABLE ON NDS(Nintendo DS).Okey? Fact two Note this product IS ONLY manufactered by Nintendo!(Note NINTENDO NOT PSP)
So it will not ever come out on PSP! Now for fact three: THIS GAME ROCKS!!! I'm sorry BUT I do have to DIS-agree with all of these PSP NO POOP Pick-up people! So to all of you NPPU people(No poop pick-up)you either need to scrape out your wallet and buy a NDS and get over it OR just live without this awsome game and quit righting nasty reveiws! Thank You!!

Well i got the game(Chihuahua version).... now all i need is the DS!!!!! I wanted this game soo much that i bought it to make sure it didn't run out of stock at the store. with my luck i got the last one. anyaway i have read all the reviews on this game and most of them are great. i mean overall almost 5 stars out of 292 reviews thats must be a good game. i might get the DS on X-mas... or maybe sooner. i know that this review isn't really helping you but it must be an exellent game if somebody bought the game before the DS right??? this is probbably the closest you will ever get to getting a real puppy.... of course nothing can replace the real thing. but if you can't get one for whatever reason this is the game for you. as soon as i get my DS i'll write a real review.well have fun.

I bought this game for my 7 year old daughter for Christmas. I tried it one day because she was having trouble getting her dog to recognize her voice(the only problem I forsee for kids, until they get the hang of talking into the mic.) once I played it I couldn't put it down. It is so much fun, before this I was never into video games but now I want to get my own game because my daughter say's I play hers too much. The dogs are so cute. This game is positivly addictive. Great game for ANY age.

BEST GAME FOR NINTENDO DS!!

This game is AWESOME! Here are some things that are great about it:
*The graphics are GREAT! Everything looks so realistic!
*I especially love the Bark Mode feature! All of my friends have Nintendogs, so we hook up & swap dogs!
*It never gets boring! There is always something to do. Go for a walk, teach your dog tricks, play with toys, etc.
*There are hundreds of cool supplies for you to try. If you don't like something you get on a walk, sell it at the
secondhand shop and you'll get money for it.
*There are tons of accesorries so you can dress up your doggy!
*You can earn "trainer points" by taking good care of your pup. Each time you earn points (you get a lot of them by placing in competitions) you can unlock new breeds! All breeds are unlockable in each game.
Those are just a few things that make this game #1! The reason why I gave this game 4 stars overall instead
of 5 is because it can get kind of frustrating trying to train your dog. Especially trying to teach it its name. For
me, when I got my first dog, I had to say Bubble's (that's my dog) name like 20 times! But it teaches you the
responsibility of owning a real dog. This game is great for people who are allergic to dogs or who just can't
get a real one. Overall, I would say BUY THIS GAME!!! It is worth every penny and you won't regret it!

Interactive Fun!

This game is very fun. since it has very good graphics and you can actualy interact with your DS dog! it even has a little micro phone so you can talk to the puppy
you can:
take it on walks
pat it
talk to it
buy it stuff
feed it
let it meet other dogs
and much more!
you can even have your dogs play with your freinds dogs if they also have a DS and nintendogs.

I have a birthday in about 2 weeks and my parents let me have a peek at my gift. And guess what it was a nintendo ds and nintendogs chihuahua and friends! This game is so cool.
I'm a dog lover so this game is perfect for someone who really likes dogs. Its not just for people who don't have dogs because I have 2 a Chihuahua & a Pom. So this game is really intersting and once you get started trust me you can't stop! Because its so much fun! So its great for just about anyone.

You can own up to 3 dogs at a time. You have to do things such as feed and water your dog, take it for walks, and while your on walks you can buy discount dog food and shop for your dog. Also in bark mode you can interact with other ds dog owners within wireless bark mode(up to 100 feet away) and unlock more breeds(all 18 breeds are unlockible. This is just little bit of a ton of things you and your little furry companyon can do. Trust me the list of things to do is endless! This game is really alot of fun!

Its fun for me and my little 7 year old sis' because she has a ds and nintendogs. So when shes in her room and I'm in mine then we can play with our dogs together.

Basicly this game is overal great.
So I highly recomend this game! I give it a 5 star!

This is a joke, right? The dozens of 5-star reviews have got to be from people in some weird club that gives glowing reviews to boring games for the sole purpose of annoying people. Look, I'm not some anti-Nintendo person; in fact, Nintendo is my favorite developer. And I'm giving this 2 stars overall because the technology is amazing. But this game is no fun, and here are my reasons why.

First off: Nothing to do! How can one reviewer say that he/she was "playing it nonstop" when your options are exhausted within minutes!? Hasn't Nintendo seen the excellent "Petz" series by P.F. Magic, where there are literally hundreds of places, toys, breeds and outfits? Here, all you can do is take walks, enter contests, teach tricks, and buy things (I'll talk about these more later).

My second complaint: Extremely aggravating voice control. Look, the voice recognition is really cool. The dogs really recognize individual voices. The problem? Well, after you teach your dog a trick, it will only respond after that if you say the command in the EXACT same way. Therefore, I found myself saying "sit" over and over in different ways, trying to find the "right" way. How is this fun!? The game should allow for you to vary the way you say the command at least a little bit!

Third: The game takes far too long to "open up". Let's say I want to buy my dog some cool toys. Oh wait, not enough money! Hmmm, how about entering a contest to earn some cash? Nope, my dog's not well-trained enough! Well then, I'll take it to the gym to train it. Oops, not enough stamina to get to the gym and back! So what CAN I do? Play with the 3 toys I have available, wrestle with the painful trick-teaching system, or watch my dog wander around my empty house. What a joy.

Number four: Not enough tangible effects. The only things that are tracked on your puppy's "stat screen" are hunger, thirst and cleanliness. Playing with it does not make it happier; there are no stats, such as speed, strength, intelligence, or even appearance, that you can raise. So basically, nothing I did had any impact on the game. What's the point in throwing a tennis ball over and over if your dog seems to forget about it the minute you stop? Beats me.

This game is aggravating, boring, and a good concept wasted. The dogs are cute and the technology promising, which earns this 2 stars overall, but there is no entertainment. The only imaginable use for this is to show little kids who beg for pets how boring it really is.

What are people talking about!?!

I dont know why people are making such a fuss about this game taking away from real dogs. This game is NOT made to make you neglect or replace a real dog, its JUST A GAME. There are about 3 reviews saying that you should just buy a real dog instead, but what if your family lives in an apartment where pets arnt allowed, or your allergic to dogs? Also once again this game isnt made to replace real dogs. I own both this game AND a real dog, and by no means am i neglecting my dog. I still take my real dog for walks and play with him and feed him, but i still think nintendogs is a really great innovative game. I know that this game doesnt compare to owning a real animal, but then again what pet simulation does? There are tons of pet simulations out there including nano pets, the monster rancher games, tomagotchis, those robot dogs things... i could name more if i had to. The only difference between this game and the others, is that it is on the ds and lets you interact more with your dog, so people should be praising it not saying that its not the same as a real dog, because its not SUPPOSED to be the same, just very similar, and nintendogs accomplishes that perfectly.
