Worth buying a DS alone

I was skeptical at first, but those puppies are just too cute. However, if that was the only thing going for the game, I wouldn't have bought it. I tried it out first and was also amazed at how the stylus and microphone were used so well. This game was built for the DS, and it seems as though the DS was built for it. I talk to my puppy every day, (and he understands!), pet it, and play with it. I can't wait until Nintendo WiFi so I can play with my friends at home. If you can't afford a real puppy, (such as myself) then this is perfect for you. This is the reason I got a DS.

I have just received this game and it is excellent. Although it can be a bit repetitive at times it is still great fun to play. The dogs look realistic and the touch screen and mic regognition is genius.

This game helps you if you learn the responsibility if you want a dog. This game is cool because you can go to a competition you can choose from Agilty, Disc and Obediance the better you are the more money you can get if you win. The best spots to train your dogs are home or a park for Obediance, Park for Disc and Gymnasium for Agilty.

You can walk your dog by clicking the out button. The more you walk your dog the further you can go. If you stroke your dog a lot you might find a present on the floor just tap on it with your stylus so your dog can pick it up. If it poos just tap on it so you can pick it up otherwise the neighbors will be complaining.

This game is fun to me because you learn responsibility for taking care of others. If you are a dog lover like me you should get it.

I just want to say that I got this game for Christmas, and let me tell you, it can be rather repetitive at times, but it is fun, and the repetitiveness is all made up for when your dog wins a trial or learns a new trick. Basically, you go to the kennel and adopt one dog from a wide variety of breeds and personalities. You name it, and then you have to teach it 'sit', which my dog forgot one day after I taught him it. You can go to the store and buy toys, food, and drinks for him/her, and you can also take them on walks every thirty minutes. I love the walking part. Choosing where you can go each time is neat, and I love it when your dog brings you a present, even if it is usually junk. Plus, meeting the other virtual dogs is fun, and I like visiting the park and gymnasium.

I would also like to get a few things straight with some reviewers. For one thing, if you don't even own it, then why are you reviewing it and saying it's so excellent? Sure, you've played the demo, but that's not the game, and anyways, how are some of you so sure you're going to get it for Christmas or your birthday? Also, I do not know anything about this fireman's hat. I have never found it on a walk, and I don't know if it's real or not. Also, someone said that the dogs do not do "oopsies". Well, they do on walks, and you have to touch it to scoop it up. I didn't do that the first time, and Archie got angry at me. Oh, and I am curious about the neighborhood dogs. I always bring my dog over by them, my favorite being Spot, and I found that their conversation starters are always being repeated, and sometimes I'd like to respond.

I also have a question about the secondhand shop, even though I own the game. For one thing, if I need something, I go there and it's not there. I go to the expensive store and get what I need. Then, I go back to the secondhand shop and whatever I needed is right there. I know that you're supposed to sell things there, but are you allowed to buy things there? Because I've sold two juice bottles there and it automatically disappears. If you can't buy, then why is under shopping? Oh, and I just love the music it makes when your dog urinates or poos. It's like "dun dun dun dun". It's actually not as gross as it sounds. So, I recommend this game, despite its pricyness.

I got this game for Christmas. It is fun to play it in the beginning, you start off with $1,000 and you can buy a dog and name it, then teach it basic commands, and then tricks. You recieve books in the 'care' section, and it teaches you what commands and tricks to do. Some down points are: The dog gets confused with different tricks, for some reason whenever I say 'lie down' the dog shakes his paw, and it gets confused with 'sit' and 'shake' because they sound the same. 2) Money. They only way to get money is to go to competions, and even if you do WIN a competion, 3rd place is $30, 2nd place is $50 and 1st place is $100, making it hard to get another puppy. 3) Learning tricks. The dog can only learn 2 tricks a day, and the game goes by real hours (you insert the time, and day in the beginning of the game) so a screen pops up and says '(name) is tired of learning, please teach him tommorow' 4) Walks. The dog can walk once every few hours, and you can get gifts along the way, which is fun, but you have to wait a while inbetween each walking.
The game is fun, but you have to annunciate the words well, and have patience!

Love this game

This is the most fun I've had with a game. Love to walk my dogs, take my dogs to contests, play with them. They are like my own little pets. :)
