After playing Metal Gear Solid on PS, my standard for action games has shifted up. This is the first game that I played after MGS and gave me the same level of satisfaction.

It has a great Single Player mode and an outstanding multiplyer mode, which is a lot of fun.

Best In Class - By A Longshot

It's hard to describe with my simple words how awesome this game is. You have to experience it for yourself. It is certainly the best WWII FPS hands-down. But it's more than that - it's the beginning of one of the biggest franchises in game history. I'd be surprised if Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and it's future expansion packs don't become more popular than that other great EA gaming franchise - the SIMS! One thing you need to know - this game becomes a lot more enjoyable the more computer and graphics processing power you throw at it. So for the ultimate MOH experience, run the game on a high-end workstation, i.e. AMD Athlon XP 2000 or better; or Intel P4 2.2ghz+, with 512mb+ RAM and a top of the line Geforce 4 graphics processor. It will increase your MOH gaming pleasure immeasurably.

A Classic and a Masterpiece

This has to be a great contender for game of the year. There have been complaints about the game, but I agree with the majority in saying that this is a great game. 2015 took time and great care in making this game and it shows. This game is evidence that there are developers out there that love the artform of great games. It's an instant classic. Granted that the game does have heavy scripting and it still has potential, but it's much better than 95% of the garbage that is released to the public in hopes of getting their money. The AI is not perfect, but is excellent. There is so much to say about this game, the story, the graphics, music, and the presentation. Multiplayer is a blast, but in single player is where this game shines. This game is being compared to Saving Private Ryan and it's of the same caliber in terms of quality. There are many great action games coming out the first half of 2002. C&C Renegade and Jedi Knight 2 are just some of them, but for any FPS fan, this is one that you should definitely get. Return to Castle Wolfenstein was awesome, but this game is a Masterpiece. If you have the money, get both. If not, get this game. Let's hope to either an expansion and/or a Platinum with extras like a mission and level editor. It shows that hard work and love for games can yield from a developer. Thanks to 2015 for sharing such a Masterpiece.

One word: Amazing
This game takes FPS to another level. The cinematics, graphics, and storyline are all extremely well done. I will admit that the damage you can take is quite unrealistic, but the game is a whole lot of fun to play. Storming the beaches at Omaha is quite a crazy scene. After dying half a dozen times, you start getting the feel of what it might have been like on the battlefield. Great to finally start to see some innovation in the FPS genre.

Loved it. Simply loved it. Although I didn't care for the idiot Captains in the game giving me dumb orders (You just survived the run up the beach at Normandy, now run back out there and get me those bangalores. Nevermind the 15 enlisted men you passed to get to me, Lieutenant). That wasn't enough to keep me from playing the game over and over, though. Attention to detail is wonderful. I just wish you could lie prone.

If you enjoy a combination of action with historical accurate scenarios then this is the game for you! A combination of Doom and Saving Private Ryan! Everything from the background music to the whistling of the wind pulls you into this game! I've never played a better or more accurate WWII sim. Order this game!!! You will not be disappointed!

Great Shooter

I like Halo on the Xbox a little bit better, but this is a great game. I was VERY skeptical about using a keyboard and a trackball for controls, but a fairly short learning curve and the feel was real. (You can lose ourself in the game, not fighting the controls).
This is the way it should be. The missions are very well set up and excellently populated with great terrain, buildings and assorted bad guys who will happily spend there every waking moment killing you. They are also pretty good at it charging when useful, but backing off and waiting behind things to pick you off if you get a teeny bit incautious. Nice AI guys. Great graphics, great plots and sections, great gameplay.
What more could you want, thats it, simply more. If it has one failing, it's a bit short. DVDs on the XBox provide more space for more stuff. Even 2 CDs on a computer cant provide the raw gigabytes of a DVD.
After Medal of Honor you really feel that youve completed several missions and seriously helped in World War Two.
After Halo, you truly feel like youve saved the entire populated Universe even though you are truly the "Last Man Standing".

Hours of fun killing people! Vent your frustrations on Nazis

This game has good controls and great graphics. I had loads of fun killing nazis... I especially liked being a sniper and blowing their heads off... You can also shoot their dogs (wish they were pit bulls...) Follow the missions and accomplish your assigned tasks and have fun killing along the way. It really is a good game and well worth the money. I can't imagine how hard storming the beaches would be in a difficult mode. Easy was hard enough... And, you CAN play it on Windows XP...

One of the Best Games Ever!

Allied Assault may not seem much different from other first-person shooters, but it is in every way. For one thing, Allied Assault is the most realistic game ever created in terms of plot and storyline. Of course, it follows WWII and many important events during the war. For some, it may seem like a history lesson for the gaming world. In some ways, it is, but it also brings an enormous amount of enjoyment along with it. Who could not like playing the D-Day level over, and over, and over again, honestly? That is the most fun I have ever had while playing a PC game! That brings me to my next point, which is that the level design is incredible! On the D-Day mission, U-Boats flood the shoreline, gunfire flies everywhere, and soldiers are running along the beach, fighting for their life as explosions occur right on their tail. This is the most incredible portrayal of real life in any game, just like in MOH Frontline for consoles. The other levels are very fun, and some are quite hard, even on the easy setting, such as in the sniper level. They hide in homes and lean out of windows. You are being shot, and not knowing where it came from. That is another incredible feature of the game. The controls are very smooth, and although they follow the same basic scheme as all other FPSs, they are much easier because they flow better. For any Castle Wolfenstein junkies out there, yes, that game is fun and we all know it, but this game is much better. Who thought up the idea of zombie Nazis anyway? Probably a pothead or a very sick and violent person. Allied Assault is the best game in the MOH series, and while it may not have the flair of Frontline, it still is a must game to buy for FPS lovers, or any fan of action-packed gaming!
