I bought this game when it first came out and my poor old HP computer could barely handle it. I was amazed at the graphics at the time and loved the audio. Omaha Beach was intense!

I was on a Battlefield 2 binge and decided since I was in FPS mode I'd load up good ol' MoH. At first I thought it wouldn't even install since Vista is loaded on my computer. But it installed and played without a hitch which made me giddy!

As I started playing it on the hardest mode, I felt my old childish gaming feelings rising. I was DYING. These weren't live people on the other end of a toon shooting at me, these were computer run programs designed to shoot at me and I was DYING. As I continuously died, I started blurting out expletives. Then I'd pause the game and wonder where that particular word had come from. I'd continue playing and die again and another expletive would explode from my mouth.

I soon realized that I have been playing online games for about 5-6 years now and am used to a human opponent killing me. I got used to it and realized that humans are pretty smart and that no matter how good I think I am, there's always somebody better. But coming back to a straight, storyline, FPS game and getting shot up by computer AI was unacceptable.

Do you ever remember a specific movie from the past that you absolutely loved and still say you love today even though you haven't seen it since the mid-80s? And then you find the movie on video or DVD, buy it, watch it, and say to yourself..."Hey, this is kind of goofy. Why did I like this so much?" It's called the test of time. MoH was ground-breaking in its day and certainly was fun to play. But now, compared against even the classic Battlefield 1942, it is archaic in its simplicity both graphic and playability wise. That doesn't mean it isn't challenging and fun, but you can see the limitations it has compared to where technology is today. Kind of like going back and playing Pac-Man.

Anyhoo, after fighting my way from Africa, to the beaches of Normandy, to the Bocage, and beyond, I eventually beat MoH...again. After my final victory I quickly went into the bathroom and washed my mouth out with soap. I then dressed nice and walked over to my neighbors homes and apologized in person for the loud, obnoxious, and obscene houseguest that was staying with me during that time.

Don't buy it

this game hearkens back to Windows 95 - it really is sort of crude, especially after playing Call of Duty 2. I'm trying to find something of that caliber (no pun intended) but have not been successful.

I have been very happy with this game. I am a Vietnam War Veteran and don't normally buy any of these type games but it has been a tension reducer for me. I am following up by purchasing MOH Pacific Invasion.

ATI X200M wont work with this game

The game is very good, but ATI X200M video card wont work with this game, even on the lowest video settings you'll will get sluggish frame rates, the ATI X200M, found in a lot of Laptops has a lot of problems with OpenGL games, so if you have a Laptop make shure you dont have this video card before buying.

The game is very good, I just wanted to make a point so that you don't go to the same level of frustration as I did.

Great - must have for WW2 gamers

If you like "Call of Duty" from the historical point of view and like first person shooters, you have to get this. It doesn't have quite the graphics effects of COD - because it was an earlier game - but it isn't bad at all. Movement is slightly different but plays about the same. Has realistic feel except for 1 level which I thought was too much a fantasy level. Best part, if you get stuck somewhere there is a lot of walkthrough info on the internet and there are game "cheats" that are pretty easy to find and use if you get stuck.

If you really liked WW2 in general and like COD, get this game. The Omaha Beach scenes makes the game worth buying. Don't be fooled by some reviews that only boast about how much better COD is. I have played both and enjoyed them equally.

PS ... again, you hear negative stuff about the MEDAL of HONOR games because SOMEONE likes the COD series "better" - but the MEDAL games have some awesome levels - and yes they ALL have some things that could be done better. Don't forget the MOH - Pacific Assault game. It is a little newer and worth your time if you liked Allied Assalut - but overall not as much fun to me.

Great game. Had several problems with installation. Still have some problems with game features that I am trying to work out, but there are workarounds. Help is in the EA game upgrades, but I can't install them because they will not recognize my installation.
All in all a very good game. Great graphics, great situations with varying outcomes depending on player choices.

Great Fun(Action)For you WWII Movie(J.Wayne,etc.)fans.As if you were a part of the Real Thing.Right in the heat of battle,Protect your buddies as well as yourself. The enemy's no pushover,so you'd better THINK before you make your move.My only regret-Can't call in a massive Air Strike. This game can be expanded in so many ways,I hope the Developers check all options.

Defenitly a great game. I beat it in like, a week. The length of the game is not as long as I would like, but still very fun.

Gameplay:4.8/5
Lots of fun. No really boring stuff like solving a puzzle, or avoiding some garuds. Alought there is a couple parts where you have to avoid sherchlights. its nice when your under cover and you shoot someone, its not gameover. Sometimes they don't even sound an alram. lots of guns to use. My favroite being the shotgun. The controlls sre very simple. Use, reload, and movement, using the mouse to aim.

Audio:5/5
Nice gunshot sounds. Especially the sniper rifle. when you shoot it, theres an echo. Music is O.K. But I don't really listen to it. i'm to busy fugring out where some sniper is. Nice explosions sounds.

Graphics;4/5
Being an older game, the graphics are not top notch. Nothing real fancy.

Realilisem:3.5/5
Although there is alot of little things like oil comming out of barrels, helments comming off and stuff like that, the UNrealilism things like on the last level you exfltrate a base alone, killing 100+ germans.
And in the 1st level, when you walk into a room, theres these guys playing cards. If you walk to just the right spot, the all jump out of there chairs, but they don't do anyhting till they can see you. Ironically, you get shot alot becuse they always see you before you see them. Once I fired an entire clip of shotgun round into a capitan guy before he finnaly slumped to the ground.

Apropreitness:4/5
Theres no blood or gore. Just some gray vapor. Of course the main idea is killing people, so its not for younger kids. And on ohamah beach(I died like 50 times on that one) when you get these bombs for you capitan, if you don't get them fast enough, he says,"What the h**l are you doin powel!? Get those bombs!". But thats it.

Over all its very fun and i got mine for five bucks so its defenitly worth the money.

P.S. I would use my own account for this review, but i haven't bought anything yet.
