When it comes to pc shooters this game takes the cake, figuratively speaking. It has very good graphics, good gameplay and realistic scenery. It has plenty of levels, and if you don't cheat it will take you about a month to beat them all. There is definitaly no shortage of weapons, gear or enemy's. I would recommend this game to anybody, it's that good. If you like shooters then you can't go wrong with this game.

Lots of hype, but still fun

Much comparisons have been made between Medal of Honor and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, with Medal of Honor seeming to be the favorite. I think some of that is too high expectations for Wolfenstein. Both are excellent shooters.

The idea that Medal of Honor is a "realistic" WW2 shooter is misleading...it may have a historic setting, but gameplay is still your basic shooter (which is not a bad thing)

Graphics are decent. Nothing too amazing.

Many varied missions and mission settings break up the monotony of just killing everyone you see, but the game relies on rather heavy handed scripted events to challenge you.

I think this ties in with one of the basic differences between MoH and Wolfenstein. Wolfenstein is stunning to look at and fun to play, but basically the same Id game...like Doom, Doom2, Quake and Quake2, as you progress you get bigger guns and bad guys get bigger hit points; you get that "level boss" mentality. MoH enemies never seem to get (much) tougher, but you are placed in situations that make even a few grunts challenging; like enemies entrenched in bunkers with machine guns, or never ending waves to force you not to stall too much.

The downside of that is some of these situations seem forced and artificial; almost like an arcade mini-game was stuck in the middle of your mission (I especially hate being stuck on a jeep/truck with a machine gun with no control of the vehicle...there are quite a few of these "rail-shooter" sequences). But overall, most of these situations are interesting, fun, and appropriate to the WW2 setting; giving MoH a lot of character and variety. Very similar to No One Lives Forever in that sense.

Overall; not groundbreaking, but very fun and does a good job providing that WW2 atmosphere and the sense that you are part of a bigger struggle (versus the more typical lone wolf Rambo killing machine of most other FPS)

At first glace, just from the box, it seems like just another World War II first person shooter. Another game that doesn't even closely follow the actual real life WWII timeline. However, you're terribly mistake if you think that. This game preserves and helps to add to the World War II timeline. You even get to experience the deadlist land assult ever, D-Day. Which, is the very highlight of the game! Later in the game, you get to drive a tank or sit in the back of a Jeep and start shooting the Nazi's. Plus, it features all the landscapes from Africa to Norway to France. But, I give this game 5 stars for easy of play and much enjoyment!

Best first person shooter i've ever played

Medal of Honor Allied Assault is by far teh best first person shooter i've ever played. There is a total of 5 missons with a lot of levels. The weapons in this game are very realistic. The sub machince guns actually have a recoil and u have to aim after each burst. However there are certain elements in this game that really start to take the fun out of playing. For instance if u shoot a spot light, the gunner somehow spots u in the darkness and shoots the hell out of you. Its stupid things like this that make this game a little retarded. i once shot a nazi guard 11 times with the MP 40 sub machince gun untill he finially droped. Another thing is enemies can do things that u can't, like hide and fire behind a wall and lay down and shoot. Also dogs take many shots to kill, which is a little dumb. But other wise this game is really good. I sugest buying it.

Best Game Ever!

This is absolutely the BEST first person shooter game I have ever played...and I have played lots of them. The game installs easily, I had not a single glitch in the whole game, the graphics and sound are outstanding. If you want to see what real time combat is like without being there just buy this game. You won't be sorry! Pray for a sequel!

Medal of Honor Allied Assault is a fine edition to the Medal of Honor series. You are Lt. Mike Powell, an O.S.S. Agent, and U.S. Army Ranger, fighting with your comrades on the front lines, or fighting behind enemy lines by your self. My favorite mission is the third one. Along with your comrades you storm Omaha Beach, blow up the shingle, run through a mine field while being fired upon by machine guns, and finaly clearing out a bunker filled with Nazi's. If you like World War II first person shooters, this game is for you. You'll like this game I guarentee it!

A masterpiece of it's time!

I purchased this game a week ago and have really only had a couple of opportunities to play it. I have seen enough, however, to say with confidence that this is one of the best games I've ever had the good fortune of playing. Incredible graphics and outstanding audio effects. The soundtrack is awesome.

My only complaint is that targeting in this game stinks. Its incredibly difficult to hit intended targets because the placement and angle of the gun. There appears to be no crosshair function (or other targeting mechanism) for any weapon except the sniper rifle, so you really don't know where you're aiming. This takes away from the enjoyment of the game and proves to be extremely frustrating when you're in the heat of battle.

This is not enough to keep me from playing the game (it's still that fun), but it is enough to prevent me from giving it 5 stars.

this game has on Honor to play!

As soon as the game began, I was totally into it. The sound of the guns are exactly how they sound in real life and the missions are extremely fun to play(especially the D-Day mission). The graphics are astounding. The music and the sound make this game the top game of the year. The creators of this game of outdone themselves and they need to make another one, and fast! This is a game worth buying and it's not a waste of money. Trust me!

I got this game a few days ago. Medal of Honor Allied Assault has very intense game play with amazingly realistic effects. All weapons and uinforms are historicly accurate to the small details. plus working with a squad adds somthing to the feel of the game.

I love this game

MOHAA is my favorite game. I got both the multiplayer and the singleplayer demos, which didnt impress me much, but then i got the game! It is soo awesome. You can drive a tank, and blow buildings away, you can shoot at nazi planes from the top of a speeding jeep you have to rescue lots of people and stuf. The maps are incredible the detail is extreeemly lifelike, the bushes sway in the wind, the people that get shot get flng back and have to re aim, the sun makes that glare effect and isnt just a big yellow ball, its just like the real sun! The codes are fun to use, but dont get carried away. The game is soo much more fun without the codes. in one mission you dress up like a german officer and blow up a submarine, it is soo fun. the multiplayer is AWESOME there are 11 huge maps with tons of sniper places and churches and steeples to snipe from. There is one that is a [bad] place, its out doors at night in the winter in a park, al the trees sway, and it looks cool but withe 56K it is slow. I got DSL and 1.8Ghtz and the game runs very fast. I highly recomend this game even if it costs [money].
I bought it 4 weeks ago and i'm still playing it regularly and regularly finding new hidout places and things. There is one level where you are in D day. it is so fun but takes a few times to find out how to winn (or it did for me) I am actually a 14 yr old i just dont want to sign up just to give a review
