This is a good game. Lots of action and in a war enviroment. There are some missions were you need to sneak around. Sometimes this game really makes me pised off. Overall this is a good game.

History in the Making

This game is good but not what I thought it could be. The options that you are given and the control setup is great, the graphics seem to be less than that of "Return to Castle Wolfenstein". The gamplay is very quick and you must be aware of everything, and I mean everything, for example, as you are running down the road, you may be shooting guys, but as you are you then have to turn around or 8 dogs are going to kill you. The Further through the game you go the less help you get. On the level that you are to meet up with a scattered paratrooper division, the people you meet up with make you do all the work, which in some cases can be quite difficult. If you enjoyed the movie "Saving Private Ryan" You will most likely enjoy the middle of the game as you go through meeting up with caracters that you must rescue. All in All if you are interested in war games and don't mind eliminating the enemy this game is for you. I was very impressed with the Game "Return to Castle Wolfenstein, and I would buy it over this game. The difference that made this game more real to me was that the nazis soldiers actually speak german and not talk with a "german" accent as they do in the "Return to Castle Wolfenstein game. But If you want to storm the beaches of Normandy, go to Africa, and complete missions that do not have Kiddy Zombies in them and like straight soldier/dog attack warfare I think you will appreciate this game.

The Greatest Game Ever

This is a spectacular game. I strongly encourage you to purchase it. This game has sweet graphics and the weapons are much better than any of the other Medal of Honour games...

Almost too realistic

The game looks great and generally has a great sense of immersion.

The gameplay is also designed for realism. I heard that they hired real soldiers, who have seen action, to critique the gameplay. It's not just the way it looks -- you interact with the game differently than with other games.

One aspect not mentioned in other reviews is how it sounds. You hear the other soliders screaming orders (or sometimes just screaming) and the bullet shots and footsteps and all that stuff and it's very immersive.

I think the biggest problem with the game may be that it's TOO realistic. When a game is this realistic, little things that wouldn't be a problem in other games, become very annoying.
You may want to crouch in a particular way on a realistic-looking hillside, for example, but the game doesn't allow that. (In fairness, no game really gives the player that level of interaction with the environment, but it's not as bothersome in a less realistic game.)

In another case, the D-Day level is realistically hard, but I found that after playing it a while (and realistically getting killed several times over) it seemed incredibly artificial. ...In summary, it's a good, exciting game, worth getting, but its high level of realism makes the unreal aspects all the more noticible.

THIS GAME IS GREAT. UNLIKE ITS PREDECESSORS IN THE SAME SERIES, THIS GAMES OFFERS MORE FUNCTIONALITY AND ORIGINAL THEMES. ITS REALISM IS WHAT GRABBED ME. YOU WILL HAVE A BLAST..BEGINNING TO END.

This game will take you in. The game is very similar to the movie saving private ryan. Excellent graphics, excellent sound,
almost too good of sound you can hear everything. The beach landing alone is worth it. This game is the closest you can get to ww2 combat without having been there. It really makes you appreciate what they must have went through.
