i thought this game was GREAT!! i have played it up untill this point. and why??? because the missions are SOO hard(even with the cheat codes).. i stoped playing the game when CJ needed to learn how to fly to get his brother out of jail.. it takes me nearly 3 houres to pass one D*** test. is it just me, or do these missions get harder and harder as they go.. i know a good game gets harder, but this is rediculous (no offence to people who like this game)..
this was a very addicting game, and i loved it.. if your looking to buy this game, PLEASE DO SO!!!!!! just because i have a bad opinion doesnt mean its a bad game because its not (hinch, i gave this game 5 stars)
The best installment in the GTA line

It's hard to miss out on the most mind blowing game of the year, and if you don't have this game by now you need to go and go get it. Believe me it is worth every penny of your money. If you are waiting for the price to go down, you are going to be waiting for a long time because this game is in high demand. Anyway, I beat the game in one month, it is a hard game and it does get you frustrated, but that is what makes the game great. You wouldn't want to play an easy @$$ game and then you be thinkin' to yourself, I spent 50 dollars on nuthin'. So don't complain on how hard the game is, you just got your moneys worth.
does everything have to be gangsta rap nonsense

gta 3 and vice city had better storylines and characters. does everything have to revolve around rap and gangsta. this san andreas has new features but i feel it lacks in other areas. such as the new man cj he doesnt even look human not like tommy. it looks to cartoonish for me. all the hype doesnt add up to the final product. very disapointing.
SO VIolent it ain't even funny. BY: jordan

Can you imagine a family out there with maybe a a very little kid playing this game. They should rate this ao(adults only.) This game has a few problems. All you do is steal stuff and shoot people. This game is such a BORE!!! For those who don't agree with this reviews this is why. The graphics are so detailed and phenominal. I really don't see how this game is fun. I mean all you do is go up to these people and blast their brains out. A good and strategetic video game is Dr.Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine(a tetris version) for the sega. Back to this game. How could someone want to go up to someone and just kill them. This teaches you how to do that which kids should not do. NObody follows ratings on games. even me. I just go to a friends and I see all these M games. There only 10 and 11. THey also have little brothers or sisters that are very little and they are sitting playing this game.
Another reason why someone would like this game is because it's instant entertainment. You won't be bored all day. All gamese like this with high sexual details(such as kissing, making out etc) should be illegal. THe people at video game stores should be aware when an adult walks in with a child getting games like this they should say stop YOur child isn't ready to handle this or play it. Games should be like tetris, or just non-violent.
I really wonder why people make games like this. For people who don't agree with this review please posta review why you like this so much. Is it because when yourangry you want to take it out on someone else, or do you want to be like the people on this mindless going up to people and blast their guts out. Either way I don't care just don't play this hideous game!
If you like this game here is a recomendation
The game is called I like to kill people at random(it's not real)

The GTA Seris has done alot to the PS2 it is one of the top selling games for the PS2, and look even the Xbox is stealing your game. The reason the GTA seris is so fun is because of alot of things. They give you the freedom of running free around a huge map of fun mini-games and extra stuff to do like gamble sell drugs kill people run over people shoot people and all those fun ways that Rockstar games has given us to kill those hookers. There is alot of improvement to the Vice City like you can swim now, and you have to keep up with your health and respect and when your hungry. There are hundreads of missions to keep you happy and lots of hookers waiting to die by the varity of cheats and guns the game allows you to have. Rockstar games makes running over highly-paid stripers fun. This game is so fun people have started to play this so much oprah is not popular anymore. Yeah its that fun. I give it 5 stars by all means.
I cannot believe the huge size of this game!!

I downloaded a save game which allowed access to all the other sections of the game (because I was curious). It is unbelievable the size of this game!! At times it is unimaginable, I just can't stress this point enough. I got a kick driving around in a fast motorcycle for at least an hour. I traced the routes of the train tracks, taking the bike through the train tunnels. I even went to the far edge of the map, fell off the edge of a mountain 1000 feet into the water. There I saw a speedboat from out of nowhere, so I tried to drive it past the nothingness. It is funny, because it is like running into an unseen wall. Other than that from one side of the map to the other would take about 45 minutes to cross.
I also liked generating 6 star wanted, but camp out in a section where the cops could not access.
To be such a big map with awesome graphics everywhere is amazing. There are some "vertices" errors in places, but mainly it is in areas that you'd normally never explore.
Some collision detection problems too, but it is pretty fun to "surf" on top of a car driven by a computer driver...that is just insanely fun.
50 bucks for a masterpiece such as this is an obvious choice. It gives you the feeling of pure exploration.

You sir are a moron. Don't they have groups for people like you? Ever hear the term "entertainment purpose only"??? These are what video games are. Kids are not stupid. Most know right from wrong and if they don't, it's more reflected on the parents. This has nothing to do with morals. I have strong family vales and morals, but I love to sit down and play games for "ENTERTAINMENT" I don't play San andreas and plot later that night to go knock over a conveniece store or take my car and run over hookers downtown. I can't stand you types of people. Don't like what your watching? Turn it off!! Don't like what your hearing? Turn it down. But don't come preach this BS of peoples morals lacking. Mind your business!!!!

This is a great monitor with an impressive array of features including flash card readers built in. I just love the heavy duty stand with swivel and height adjustment. Refresh rate is great, like CRT! Big and bueatiful!!!
I got a "Premium Grade" 2405FPW from Neilson Distributing (800-526-1744) for about $880 w/shipping. They test for dead pixels and guarantee none where DEll only guarantees you will have no more than 6 dead pixels.

This game is pure perfection in every way.the games graphics are better than the graphics for GTA 3 and GTA Vice City, and the enviroments are great. The storyline is the best one out of all the Grand Theft Tuto games, how can a story get better than this The soundtrack is the best you can expect from a game like this.Rockstar has achieved a new level beyond what we call a game.
Better in all respects... almost

The sheer depth of this game is incredible. For those that loved Vice City, this game offers basically the same great game-play, but on a scale that is three or four times as large. Los Angeles, Las Vegas, San Francisco, and the surrounding countryside of each city make this game enormous. I get chills just thinking what Rockstar will have to do to top themselves in the next version... how big can these games get?
As far as the details in the game, it's very similar to Vice City... which isn't a bad thing. The story is engaging, the graphics are good, and the missons are fun. As usual, the voice acting was great - I particularly enjoyed David Cross' character Zero. Samuel Jackson and Chris Penn have good roles too.
There are only two areas I can find that aren't as good as the Vice City version. In Vice City, the main hero (Tommy Verscetti) gradually rises through the ranks to become the top gangster in Vice City. For those that enjoy this kind of rise-to-power storyline, they'll probably be disappointed with San Andreas. Carl Johnson does accumulate gang territories midway through the game, but this premise is abandoned, ultimately leaving Carl in the same position he was at the beginning of the game (a bit of a let-down). Also, the music, while good, isn't as good as the eighties-driven soundtrack of Vice City. While Vice City's soundtrack gave the game a rich atmosphere, I didn't feel the same with San Andreas. While I enjoy hip hop, there was a bit too much of a hip hop/urban focus to the music in this one. I realize that the setting is LA, and urban music is key element to this change of scenary... I just liked the Vice City soundtrack better.
Anyway, these are very minor blemishes in an otherwise outstanding game - probably the best I've ever played. If you're looking to purchase a game, I don't think it's even a question of "should I?". This is a game that has to be played.
