1. the city is way too big.
2. the airplane missions suck
3. it was better driving without the analog stick, if it aint broke...

I think that this game will be great. I own GTA Vice City and it's great. I heard you can swim in this one and there are more guns vehicles characters cities, etc. I cannot wait until it comes out. I recommend trading in games so it will reduce the cost, as this game will probably cost around (...) for a new copy. Another option is wait till it's used... but if you are a GTA fan then don't do that...

Recommended for EMO ROCK LOSERS OR 10 YEAR OLDS or both

Just like the despcription this recommended for emo rock losers(the losers that listen to truly terrible music like Good Charlotte or Sum 41)and 10 year old boys/girls that are immature and like wasting their time and money on trash like this and this isn't teaching those kids(teens with no taste in video games)nothing new just to be hateful or violent. This video game is just another rip-off of Vice City and this one horrid. Please parents burn or break those PS2'S or X-BOX's your kids have and that will teach them a listen not to bring crud like this and those other games in your household and if your kids rent or buy this please smash it with a hammer and burn it to pieces and tell your kids that if you wanted to waste your money on trash you could have thrown it into the trash can and you would have got trash in return. The only good thing this has achieved is that is released a box set of the music in the game.

Needs to come out on XBOX

Just played it on the PS2. Has plenty of potential with probrably the largest gameplay area yet out of any of the GTA's. The graphics although are the worst I've ever seen and the new colors they added in don't help. Most of the time you can't see anything because it's either too dark or the graphics are polygraphed out of this world. Rockstar needs to pull their heads out of their asses and releases this great game on a system that can handle it. Cause playing it on a PS2 is just a waste of time and money unlike the xbox.

I would have gave this game 5 stars but I was so mad to here how much of the "F" word and "M.F." (which is F_c_ker and Mother F_c_ker),was used in the game. They gave this game the same rating as Vice City, but this game has those vulgar words that are constantly used. I thought it was unnecessary and vulgar. If they didn't use those words throughout the whole game (they are even in the rap songs which are just about all the radio stations) then I would have given this game 5 out of 5 stars! I also wish they kept Tommy, he is awesome!
The difference in this game compared to Vice City is like watching "The Matrix" and then watching "Shaft", both movies are rated R but "The Matrix" has none of those harsh swear words in it but "Shaft" is loaded with them. I think it is misleading and they need to have a better rating system. They also should include a censor option in the option menu so some can bleep out the swear words if they choose. But besides the very vulgar, filthy words constantly used, it is an awesome game, you can do 20x more in this game than in vice city. It's more realistic and interactive. So if you can't handle hearing those swear words then don't get this game. It would be even better if they would have kept Tommy as the star, it would have been very easy to do, I don't like C.J.

the lead character is a............. human being! who cares what color. what i do care about is peelin around in a 64 impala shootin some rival gang members, and thats all gta is about. from the sounds of it this is going to be the best game ever, not just for the gta series, but of all time. Im counting down to 10/19/04

I can tell you right now. That the GTA Series just keeps getting better. You really have to thank Rockstar North for the great work they have done. I have had the chance to play it at E3(Great place to be if your a gamer)And I was blown away by the detail,graphics,and the AI System. The pedestrians arent stupid like before they have gotten smarter and are Striking Back. Needless to Say you have your own gang and crew. GTA:SA isnt based on RAP or Hip Hop. There is a lot of radio stations to choose from. 3 big places you can Vist. Its about 4 to 6 times bigger then GTA:3 and GTA:VC so hold on to your hats cause you have alot to discover. I wouldnt doubt this game at all. reserve your copy now. And This game has tons of cars,trucks,bikes. Also when or IF you beat the game there is soo many things you can do. The Replay of this game would be everyday. i wish I could have taken a copy from the E3. But this will be a huge hit 2 million copys have been sold. Get yours Now!

I love this game for every reason people hate it
the gore, the overall violent content, the cussing, the depiction of the stereotyped black dude that does nothing but kill, mate, destroy and steal.
the only reason I give it 4 stars is due to the sh*tty music
rap/hip-hop is crap and doesn't add to the excitment of playing this game why not add some brutal death metal like Cannibal Corpse, Vomitory, Krisiun, Skinless, Autopsy, or Suffocation you know all the music that also gets disapproved by common social standards such as this game I mean c'mon this game is on the verge of being outlawed so why not make it 10X worse and put music that compliments the gore in this game

For those of you who think this game is just good and not great, please follow the above advice. Take a second and consider all the things you can do. I became fed up with constantly warring with other gangs for territory and decided to take a vacation. You know what I did? I hopped on a dirtbike and went hill climbing in the country, just to unwind. I popped in a 24-7 and played Duality for a while, then shot the clerk on my way out...JUST BECAUSE I COULD. With this kind of diversity, how can this game not be rated a 5?
