Ok, first of all, i just want to say that i am not rating this game a 1 because it's too violent or there's to much sex. I don't mind violence and the sex is optional. I actually have complaints about how this game PLAYS.
This game is huge. it's bigger than Vice Ctity, or Haven City (Jak II). It starts off fun, killing people and doing the missions and bonus games. But, then you notice that you've already done these things before (especially if you've played the other GTA games). All the missions are are basically 'Go here', 'kill him', 'go there and get this', ETC. Its pathetic, to say the least.
And the graphics are pretty bad, especially when you look at things like Jak 3 and Metal Gear Solid 3, or even Burnout 3 (yeah, I know thats alot of 3's, so how about Sly 2?).
Over all, this is a below average game that is too over hyped. Unfourtunatly, people are beleiving the hype.
Fun but Inapropriate

Grand Theft Auto San Andreas is one of the most inapropriate games ever made. Yet people still buy and play games of the series. Why do you think that it is fun running around with semi-automatic guns shooting every person you see. This game is morally wrong.
Although inapropriate I still find this as a fun game, not a good one.
Graphics 5/5
The graphics on this game are good although some scenes that they depict maybe have too realistic of graphics
Music 2/5
The majority of the songs on their use the F-word twice every sentence. Not all of the songs are bad you just have to choose not to listen to them.
Gameplay 4/5
The controls take about 15 minutes to get used to. I personally find the controls for flying planes to be off. They just seam to need something more to them.
Storyline 5/5
The storyline is good, none of it seems too far-fetched. Sometiemes it just dosn't make sense for you to be robbing that casino or steeling that combine.
Overall this is a fun game, but why do you have to be killing at least a dozen people in every mission. Why can't you be some hero guy who is trying to save the city from gangs and corrupt police officers instead of a member of a gang who kills everyone who so much as insults him.
Basically this game is setting a very bad example for people who play this, and some of those people could be 7 or 8 year old kids.
Way Too Violent...

Of course it has now turned the M rated game into A for Adult for specific reasons. Shooting innoncent people for no reason...doing missions like having sex with girls...hijacking cars...killing and killing over and over. Okay, so you pretty much get my idea of all of the violence. But what most of you want to know is the gameplay. It does have many glitches and although driving in a car can be...fun, all of the gameplay is boring, and not good at all. Want something good to teach your kids...what about E rated games like Kingdom Hearts or Katamari Damacy. But oh my gosh, stay away from this game. Waste you own money and time if you have the guts too.

Ya its cool how everyone keeps reviewing this game and its not even out. Games like Everquest 2 already have 3.5 stars which is unfair because its not even out and this doesent deserve the 4.5 it has because its not out. Its out in 8 days; review it in 8 days.
Crappy physics, and it perpetuates black stereotypes.

I don't understand how this game got a "Best Game" rating at the Spike TV VG Awards, other than by bribe.
My friends and I rented this game, to see if it was as good as its hyped to be.
Looks to me like Rockstar did a rush job on this game because the physics suck. How realistic is it for a guy on a biycle to be able to knock over a telephone pole? Or to be able to explode a car by punching it enough times? These guys aren't doing drive-by's, its more like a "park & shoot." And the driving physics also suck worse than Davilex's "Knight Rider: The Game."
The worst part of San Andreas is the "Gangsta DDR" segment where you press buttons to "dance" although you're actually just doing the same boring moves to the same song over and over (Nuttin' But a G-Thang). Snoop Dog musta been stoned outta his mind or paid an arseload of royalty fees for use of his and Dre's songs because I'm sure he's played better games than this one. Or maybe Snoop hasn't even played the game at all and just decided he'd endourse it for no reason.
The bottom line is this game sucks. It plays out like a really crappy Urban Gangsta flick and it perpetuates the stereotype that all black people sell drugs, beat hookers, do drive by's on each other and kill cops. Believe it or not there are some really intelligent African Americans out there who have college degrees in medicine and don't speak in ebonics.
good... not really

it's easy for people to look at this game and read the book by its cover. the truth is that it's very unpolished. The person who designed the flight mechanics in this game should probably be fired and never allowed to touch a computer again.

We always tell our children not to lie, steal, cheat, and murder. Why would we spend all the time we spend trying to raise our children to become successful adults, only to buy a game like Grand Theft Auto SanAndreas, which goes against all the rules? This game has everything we fight against everyday looking as if it's oKay because it is a game. There are corrupt Policemen, men picking up prostitutes, and different gangs, just to name a few. Even though this game is marked for mature audiences it is sure to be seen by children. At what point do we say enough is enough, our children are confused enough, let's keep games fun and positive.

When I first played this game, I got bored in 10 minutes. All you do is shoot and kill people for nothing, have the police chase you and you shoot them, Bring girls into your car and do it with them. I dont recommend this game at all its overrated.

First off, I do not rate this game poorly because it offends me. I honestly believe that Rockstar took a step backwards with San Andreas. First off, the graphics are horrible compared with the past GTA games. I know that graphics aren't what make games fun (something that almost everybody seems to be forgetting these days), but the problems with them here are pretty much unavoidable. Looking into the distance at times yields a blank backround and at certain points while driving, a seam will appear which can be somewhat confusing. Not only this, but the character models here are actually worse than they were in the series last 2 entries.
Secondly, the soundtrack is lame. Vice City had the most impressive soundtrack I have ever seen in a video game. However, San Andreas yet again falters in comparision. Not being a fan of rap music, I cannot give this part a fair review, but most of the music actually made playing with the volume down on my tv more enjoyable.
Also, the storyline is downright awful. Gone are the varieties of missions that we knew and loved. Most of these missions had me doing the same thing over and over (go here, kill this guy, retrieve some object....etc). While these missions are fun at first, after about 2 hours of playing, I began to wonder why it seemed like I might as well have played the first set of missions over and over again.
Lastly, the dialouge here is trash. While Vice City's dialouge was a very welcome addition to the GTA series, it seems to me that the point of the dialouge in San Andreas is to see how many times they can cram the N word into a sentence. Downright awful.
Is this what video games have become? This game continues to fly off the shelf because people will bypass horrid storylines, average graphics and poor layout design just to be considered "cool" and "edgy". If you are looking from some truly 5 star GTA, I suggest you pick up Vice City or GTA 3, which while dated, still provide more fun than this god awful piece of garbage.

I asked my mom if I could get this game and after having a discussion with the friendly clerk, she said no. She said that the guns and rap music would be bad for me. She suggested that I go and pick out someting else. I chose a country CD. It was the new CD by Keith Urban. My mom told me that all other music is evil except country. My mom instead bought me a Pokemon game for my Gameboy! She said she was going to sell my Playstation 2 because it had bad games that you could put in it and play. She said that there were bad words, guns, blood, and girls. She said that that would be bad for me. I'm happy with my Pokemon and country music!
