...but, we can make a pretty good guess at what this game is going to be like, based on the screenshots released at E3 yeasterday. It is still pretty unclear whether this game will be like GTAIII, or take a different path. From the 3 screenshots released, the graphics look to be about the same, while the style looks a bit differnet. Obviously, GTASanAn is going for a more modern look. The rumor is early 1990s, but the gangs, [prostitutes, and corruption still reign supreme. Expect for this to still be bloody and corrupt! But there is one subtle difference. While not completely obvious, it looks as if you will play as a gangsta, a street hustler, or a mean 50 Cent-type guy. From the screens, you appear to play as a black male this time around, complete with a gangsta entourage and lots of bling and guns.(And hopefully rap music!!)I was ecstatic to see this, because I love the whole gangsta image and rap music. The plot seems a bit more complex too. You play as a gangsta, who goes back to his hometown to find it lying in ruin. With a corrupt cop on your back, you set off to set things straight. This premise seems interseting, except that the game is set in a place that is a combination between L.A. and San Fran. I was REALLY mad to hear this, because god knows that Cali is everywhere in our culture these days, and I am sick of games like True Crime trying to constantly duplicate the Weast Coast. Besides, New York rules both of those towns! Anyway, I am very excited to hear about the new GTA, and judging from what I saw, this game looks to be everything that the old GTAs were, and much, much more. 50 Cent wannabes, this could be the answer you have been waiting for!

Perfect!

The monitor is really great. Bright, fast, contrast, easy to adjust, can be rotated 90 degrees for portrait mode, has all kinds of interfaces, media reader slots, Picture-in-Picture, plus it's priced way below any comparable monitor on market. I can't think of any better deal in 24" segment. Hightly recommended!

Rockstar's Magnum Opus of Gaming

Rockstar's latest installment in it's massively popular Grand Theft Auto series could without a doubt be the greatest game I've ever played. I could go on and on about how big the play environment is, or about all the new moves at your disposal, or even the fact this this is the most mature game of the series yet but if you read more reviews on this page you'll find that out yourself.
The key to what makes this game so amazing to me is the staggering amount of interaction the player has with nearly everything. And all the interactions, in some way, shape, or form have an impact on the character you control. There are pool games to be played in bars, women to date, food to eat or drink, casinos to hit, dance clubs to dance at, people to talk to, video games to play (I overlooked the Sega Genesis-looking game system in the character's house many times but found that when I went to it, I could actually play it), and so many more simple things that bring this game to life. Add on top of that the usual extra missions such as Taxi, Police Vigilante, Firefighter, Paramedic for extra cash, as well as some new ones such as Pimping, Truck Driving, Quarry Work and more. Oddly enough, with all these options at your disposal you've got the makings of a masterpiece of gaming -- and I've not even mentioned the actual game itself yet.
The main story of the game is probably the most mature and violent I've ever encountered in a video game. To parents, really all I can say to you if you are considering getting this for your children is to hope they know better. The game is rated Mature (17 and up) but I've known some very mature children under the age of 12 who understand that this type of thing is nothing more than a game. Thin-skinned people who get bent out of shape over any- and everything should definitely stay away from this though. Those are the one's whose maturity level really shows when an artform tries to break the mold.
All in all I don't think anyone could really come away from this game disappointed. Longtime fans of the series will love it, and new fans will find out just what all the clamour is all about. To people about to purchase this and enter the amazing world of San Andreas I say enjoy your stay in one of the most incredible gaming experiences you can imagine. And have fun!

Simply put, this is the best game i have ever seen and played. This game has an amazing storyline, about a man coming back to his hometown to redeem himself and help his friends and family get back on their feet. It creates such a realistic atmosphere, and even though it does not have top-notch graphics, it has such a large area to move around, that the graphics do not matter. It is such a large world that you can play in, and it is very interactive. You can go into many buildings, and each person matters. Police respond realistically, and is the best in the GTA series, in my opinion. Buy this. In fact, buy two. One to play, and one to frame, to put on your wall.

ROCKSTAR DOES IT AGAIN, AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Folks, I have said this before this is very graphic, very Explicit (as far as video games are concerned). But, The Rating on the game is clear.

With that said. You will notice that Vice City was and still is one of my favorite games. San Andreas is just a bigger better version.

Finally THE game that is taking Video games to a whole new level. With more challening missions, better story lines, widened imagination. Heck you can play games within it, whether it car racing, arcade games, Pool, stunts on BMX, Dancing, Horse Race gambling, and many many more.
If you do buy this game try to enjoy it to the fullest. Ie try to refrain from using cheats. The difficulty level is just right for the average Joe to finish (All you need is patience, and practice). And With that u can gurantee hours and hours of fun for the next months.

This is in response to another review, specifically the one which commented on the location of this game and the race of the protagonist. Since you had to question the intelligence of the supporters of this game, I took the liberty of correcting the rather egregious errors you made. It seems that you too have an inability to type proper english.

Here are the corrections:

I was excited about this game when I first heard about it. The game sounded awesome, a few new things, and a few improved things, but when I saw that you are black, and that it's in the ghetto, it pissed me off. I'm tired of this "oh it's cool to be black thing." It gets on my last nerve. If you share any of the same thoughts as I, save your money and don't buy this; make the creators lose money so that they will know not to make a dumb mistake like this again. As for people who are reviewers who are defending this game: you can't even speak proper English let alone type it, which really reflects your intelligence level, or, better yet, your lack of intelligence.

GTA Series Gone Downhill

This game has an amazingly creative and addictive concept but they added some details that really take away from the game. Really. Uncontroled cursing, unnescessary violence, and yet more cursing have led to my bad rating. I would have enjoyed the game much more if there wasn't as much cursing because as I said, it has a great concept but bad qualities. Other than that, it is fun to play and in some ways better than the previous game in the series, Vice City, although I still like Vice better. If I had a choice again, I would not have bought the game.

This game is gonna be sweet, no doubt about it. But to the racists saying they're disappointed that the character is black, please shut up. Why do you think Vercetti was Italian? Beucase its cool to be Italian? NO! Because the game parallels gangster movies; wouldn't it be a bore if he had a Minnesotan accent?! Could you seriously imagine a game about urban strife during the early 1990's in LA and based on movies like Boyz in the Hood with a white guy? Seriously. Your racism blinds your whole concepts of characterization and setting. Please, keep your whole white victim-hood to yourself.

Okay, just so you have an idea of how sadistic this game is: I was /given/ it. I had wanted to buy it for months after it released, but a friend of mine said he was stuck on the VERY FIRST tagging mission, did all the fun stuff, and was easily tired of it.

Now, I've gone and surpassed him in the game, surpassing my own expectations as well with how many missions I did. But now I'm beginning to sympathize with him. I sold it off because you just can't do any one thing more than 20 times and still contain the enthusiasm you had the first time around. It's not a game. It's a pain in the ass, and a sigh of relief for my wallet. Do yourself a favor and don't yearn for something that will end up making you ten times more frustrated than you were before picking it up.
