It is a great game,but it gets boring. If you expect this game to be different every time you play it, think again. Exellent rental good purchase.

If you think your going to beat the game with EVERY POSSIBLE charachter, then you won't need any other game for about, hmm...4 years? Trust me, you'll get to it one day and pick up the controller, turn on your ps2, then go...'Ehh....I don't really feel like it'. Trust me. I did. Don't get me wrong, its a good game, but it has a poor storyline, no blood/gore, and nothing but...fighting. Just lots and lots of killing(making it a good sleepover game). What I really liked about this game, is that its about 98% True. Seriously. Look up these guys. They were all Ancient Chinese warriors. The only thing is I think Koei tweaked the storyline. Good Luck & have fun.

Almost everything about this game is great, there are only 3 problems.

1. You cant create a unique officer, all the faces look the same and you basically use the same outfits over and over.

2. Once you get to be more powerful you put it on hard, then you get even more powerful it gets so that even hard isnt a challenge. They need to put Very Hard (from DW3:XL) back into the difficulties levels.

3. It would be so much more fun if it were up to four players fighting at once!

This game is based on the events that occured during ancient china in the time of the three kingdoms.I truly enjoy this game and if youre reading this you will too.I gave it five stars due to the fact that this ones better than the last three.The only problems with this game is you occasionally get glitches in the game like slow motion.The charachters and the surroundings are very slow and very irritating.The last problem is the charachter Nu Wa is not included and she was my favorite but besides that its the perfect game.

this is probably the best game that i have played. i play for about 6 hours a day, unlocking items and generals, and continuing to understand the history behind the three kingdoms. i give this game a five for its graphics, sound, control, and overall fun factor. i reccomend this game to any players out there who enjoy time consuming games, as well as ancient china.

This is one of the greatest PS2 games ever! Probaly the greatest fighting game ever! This game features over 40 playable characters ( Lu Bu is nearly invincible)!! The action is great! And the game has over 40 different story lines (40 characters)
Get this game, its definentaly worth it!

Before I got Dynasty Warriors 4, I use to play it on my uncles' ps2. Then my grandma took me to buy my own copy of it. Now there are only two levels left for me to unlock. My favorite warrior is Lord Ling Tong because he is an awesome fighter! I love the game and I highly recommend it!

Addictive in small doses. Incredibly annoying in large.

This game has had the same motive since the beginning. Which is to tap the square button repetitively until about 1000 soldiers fall on the floor.

But this is what makes the Dynasty Warriors games their own person and can be quite interesting. It's set in ancient China in the time of the Three Kingdoms (want a history lesson? Tough you're not getting one.). And you can start off Musou mode (the main story) with either of the Three Kingdoms Wu, Wei or Shu. (Tee hee those names sound like phonetic spelling)

Now for every level the easiest way to win is just to simply run straight through a crowd of enemies, kill them in a few button bashes, run to the leader kill him and... YAY YOU WON!!!

However if your a committed gamer like me you will get bored of this and try to play the game properly and that of course is far more enjoyable. With cut scenes and random stuff it makes the game slightly thicker. HOWEVER!!! After playing it solidly for a while YOU WILL GET ANNOYED AT THE SITE OF THIS GAME. It gets sooo repetitive that you'll put it down and play Final Fantasy all over again. Yes there are alot of characters but is that enough? Yes for a little while but it all gets boring in the end.

Buy the game, play it for a week, STOP!!!, then play it again after you had the break. Seriously playing it for too long and you will get bored.
