I love this game! Here's a tip: START WITH CYNDAQUIL! Cyndaquil is strong against most of the Gym Leaders and it's final form Typhlosion is a kick-butt Pokemon against the Elite 4.

I LOVE this game! It is really addictive, so once you start playing, you're hooked! It is a lot better than the first three, Red, Blue, and Yellow. The bad thing is that I'm a girl, and you always have to be a boy! I don't think that's fair. In Crystal, you get to choose. How come its not like that in the others?! And, I have all of the Pokemon games exept for Crystal, and the rest of my games, Mario Bros. and Harry Potter, I have to be a boy! Well, onto the point. In Gold,there are tons of new stuff! There's a Pokegear, which has cards that, when equipped, can turn Pokegear into a phone, map, radio, and clock! With a mom that saves your money, its really convenient! You can breed Pokemon so that you can get new ones, and there's a whole new area, along with Kanto(the one that was in Yellow and the others). However, in Kanto, the Safari Zone is shut down, Cinnabar Island is almost gone(the volcano on it erupted), Viridian Forest is now just a small patch of trees with no Pokemon, and you can't get to Digglett's Cave without waking up Snorlax, and that's really tough! The good things are: there are two casinos, two really huge department stores,and there's transportation by train and boat. If I were you, I'd get this game now!

This game rocks and the same goes for Silver and Crystal. I wish I had not traded off my copies at GameStop, but I also hear the batteries in the old cartridges are dying. Come on Nintendo, you remade Red & Green/Blue, now just give us a Gold/Silver remake instead of junk like Pokemon Ranger 49.

Well we all know that Pokèmon Gold/Silver rules right?I agree.Because you can trade from the red/Blue/Yellow& Green(?) Versions.Its worth the bomb!A chance everyone wants the game real bad.So do I and this game deserves to be cool!You cxan't get Serbii #251 in the Gold/Silver,but you need a Gameshark(No lie.) to get it for real.In Christmas the top game will be Gold & Silver!Justa da opinion of mine.

I got this game from my cousin. Oh boy is it great! I don't have any badges, but I think I will get one today. I like the part where each day's a different character and how Johto and Kanto are combined. I have the Official Player's Guide, so it makes life easier. It is great!

This game have a new pokemon. The name of 251 pokemon is serebi in the japanese. It is hard to catch.

ign pocket says it best, "pokemon gold and silver is out and its worth the wait". pokemon is not just a fad or kids game it's here to stay. pokemon is addictive, once you start it's hard to put down. and with addition of 100 new monsters the gotta catch em' all theme is really driven home. don't be fooled by it being a sequal though. it's still pokemon just way better than the first three. while it takes place in different world three years after r/b/y it is still a young boy going on a pokemon journey. and while there still is a rival, this time he's evil. so now you have the job of tracking him down, winning badges, beating the elite five and break up the rivived team rocket once again. it seems that the bad guys just can't let go so they found themselves a new leader to take giovanies place as rocket head. this is deafinately worth your money. to me the only draw back is you still have to trade with friends and family to get all 250 pokemon, so when your an only child and don't have friends to trade with only the gameshark device is the way to catch em all. oh yeah don't be looking for mew either, he is not in or never will be in a pokemon game, only through nintendo or a cheating device can you get him and the same thing goes for the 251st pokemon. another pokemon you won't find in g/s is mewtwo or the legendary birds. ash beat you to them or you beat yourself to them i should say so only you can get them through trade r/b/y as goes for many others. this game takes the original idea and runs with it adding big a little features that make it a true sequal to a really great game. if your new to pokemon this is one you should get alond side pokemon yellow the best of the previous three. it's fun and has a great story to it deep enough to keep an adults attention and light enough for a kid to understand. pick one up today before you have to wait a year, 600,000 copies have been reserved and even larger amount are expected to sell so it could be a while if you wait too long. also for you pokemaniacs out there start savin your money, crystal will be out sometime.

I just got this game on Friday the 13th. It is so awsome. I just started and already I am amazed at the graphics. For a gameboy game this is awsome. It still follows the same RPG format that was used in the first pokemon game. This is going to be the top selling game in handheld gaming for a long time. Its brothers pokemon Red and blue were and still are top sellers. You get to expiriance 200 pokemon in all. This game has a all new story line. There is plenty of gameplay time. I love this game. I hate the cartoon pokemon and everything pokemon ,but this is a true RPG you don't want to miss out on. You better buy it soon before it is sold out. That happened with red and blue. Buy it now.

I played this game and it was a realy good game.It's very tricky and kinda hard to beat.But it soon gets pretty easy and becomes better like at the end I had a level 60 pokemon and I just had to fight level 30 pokemon.
