If Maxis would had done it, It would be much more better.

This game really has dull graphics, has major errors and the worst simulation game ever! When I first saw it, I was thrilled that another simulation game popped up. When I tried it, after one hour, I stopped playing it. Mainly because it had boring features. If you like roller coaster simulations, then buy RollerCoaster Tycoon! With it's new expansion packs, you'lle be a RollerCaoster Master in no time. So don't spend that money in your pocket for this one.

A disappointment for SIM Games

My friend has this game and I have Roller Coaster Tycoon. She told me how great it was and I tried it out.

There is one advantage I can think of for getting the SIM theme park, which is where you can ride the rides and walk around your park. As cool as it sounds, it still isn't all that great. Sometimes on rollercoasters you get stuck facing backwards at the other passengers. For bouncy rides the scenery just bounces up and down (not too exciting). You can't ride every ride that I kow of, which disappointed me.

The graphics are O.K. Compared to Roller Coaster Tycoon, however they look like something that would be in a game for preschoolers.

Like Roller Coaster Tycoon, there are a few different scenarios (actually RCT has more...) and you can not play them all without earning them (aka, beat a scenario and another one is available).

Overall, I was really disappointed with this game. It is good for younger players, but if you are older and want a more complex and worth-while game, get Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Disappointed in the general public...not the game.

I just bought this game one week ago, and it's all that I can think about sometimes. Not because of the intricate graphics, or the numerous rides, but because it *is* hard. Most of the reviews written here are from people complaining about how hard it is, or that it's not as flashy as other games. Seriously, is flashiness the point of Sim games? Well, partly, but there is the underlying notion that it is a game of skill. If you ran an amusement park, do you think it would be an easy job? I find this game absolutely fascinating and hope that the sour reviews will not defer some of you from purchasing it.

Very Fun

I really liked this game. You start out with only one park because you have to earn the keys to get to the other three parks. It is fun because you get to buy the different rides, sideshows, restaurants, etc. You can hire people such as a janitor, entertainers, researchers, gaurds, and others. You must keep your customers happy too. If your ticket price is too high, your customers will just turn around and go home. It's a lot of fun to build the park and manage it. But if you are one of those people who likes to manage every single Sim, don't buy this game because you can't manage where the customers go or what they do. In my opinion, this game is really fun and you should go ahead and buy it.

A Wonderful Game in Need of an Update

I loved this game from the instant that I installed it.
It's funny, imaginative, and actually allows you to ride the rides!
It's far too easy, being aimed toward a younger audience, but that never put me off. I would reccomend this game to anyone who enjoys the Sim series.
My only disappointment is the lack of updates. The game is so outdated now that it will no longer run on my PC, because of Windows XP being installed.

I wish that a newer version would be released so that I can play one of my all time favorites again.

STP is a lot better than Roller Coaster tycoon!

Roller Coaster Tycoon is a boring game. This game is so much better! On;y 2 and a half stars!? You can ride your own rides, walk in your own park, create your own rollercoasters, the graphics are great and you get 4 different themes. The only complaint I have about this game is the little black ball that always pops up and says to lower your price or something, but luckely, you can turn him off. If you want a real roller coaster simulator, skip Roller Coaster Tycoon and buy this.

gotta get this game!

I love simulation games. I love SimCity, and all the other sim games and recemntly Sims Living Large, they are all wonderful Maxis games. Hasbro Interactive is also a great designer with Loopy Landscapes and RCT. This game falls extremley short of RCT. I have had to get so many add-ons and space upgrades my ssytem noiw has 120 GB of space o0n my computer thanks to my deadication to simulation games and my extremly late unlces. Having all that space (and money) has aloud me to spend ouyrs comparing and playing games by the dueling comnpetors Maxis and Hasbro Interactive. Maxis has won over on The Sims and Living Large by a looooooooong shot. They are onme of the most interesting game sin the world. But Hasbro Interactive take sthe caqke when ut come to the dueling roller coaster games. Loopy Landcapes proviudes some many diffrent combanations and lkets your mind expend top new level. Sim theme park is the same scenario over and over again with slightly diffrent situations just disgued with a diffrent theme. The visual effects are better but othjer than that here are the games for simulatoin fans like myself (thanks for readiung through all my typos.): Loopy Landscapes (requires Roller Coaster Tycoon) Living Large (requires the SIms) 1 from both sides. Great games, great designers, msteep comp[etition (without the addition of SIm Thjeme Park, it makes Hasbro almost win.)

Good but slow

I bought this game in excitement thinking I could get a 2 in one game for sim city and RTC. Which it does but the game is slow and I just got a pentium III 400 and it shuts down. Other then being slow and shutting down, with the 30 min of game time at a time that i have played its a good descent game

This game was terrible!

When I saw this game on sale when it just came out I thought it would be a blast but I was wrong. When it came out it was $(...) and I saved my money for almost a month and a half and when I finally got it I raced up to my computer to check it out. It took eight minutes to load and it takes one minute to get out. After a week of playing I did not like it any more. I espcially did not like the stupid ant telling you what to do. Compare Sim Theme park to Rollercoaster Tycoon(my personal favorite)Sim Theme Park is just a pile of junk.
