Its not worth the money

Sure, its fun its exciting, for about 5 minutes. You get bored of it fast, not to mention the fact that it crashes 4 out of 5 computers (not fact). If you want a good simFUN (my word) game get Roller-Coaster Tycoon. This game is fun for a while but it gets old quick and i say its a very dissapointing Sim game.

If you like the sim games(city,sims,ect.)then this game is for you. it allows you to biuld your own theme park, hire staff, and make new rides.

SimTheme Park is really great!! It is good for people who a) like theme parks and/or b) who enjoy building and setting things up. One of the most fun things about the game is getting Golden Tickets and Keys, which is kind of difficult. It's also fun to build rollercoasters, but it can be complicated. SimTheme Park is also about managing money, (you know, "should I spend my money on training my staff members, buying hamburger shops, or building rides?") Sometimes it's hard to get your whole park under control. Every other second your Advisor is telling you, "Your park needs cleaning up," "You don't have enough security guards," "There are some spots in your park that aren't being patrolled by an entertainer," and so on. But overall the game is LOTS of fun, and can keep you occupied for hours.

Not a substitute for a roller coaster ride

If you're buying this program with the idea of building a roller coaster and then getting to experience it, you will be very disappointed in the graphics in the "try-out" section of the program. If, on the other hand, you want to try to create another type of Sim City, you'll like it.

This game is awesome for the first 10 times you get on and play it. After that it becomes routine and you know how to do everything but its the same basic scenario. The parks change but its the same thing over and over. After I got to Wonderland there was no motivation to get on anymore because I knew Space Zone would be the same thing that I had already done 3 times. This game is fun but after awhile I just sold it and bought a better one.

Don't waste your money!

I was very disapointed in this game. It looked like so much fun until i tried to play it. It was so confusing and frustrating. I recomend Roller coaster tycoon I&II. They are much more enjoyable.

Pathetic Maxis Version of Roller Coaster Tycoon

This game is one of the worst games to come from Maxis. It is incredibly boring, in part because of its limited possibilities and its bland themes. If you're going to by a game like this, go Roller Coaster Tycoon, without a doubt, it is 50x better, and 100x more realistic. I haven't tried SimCoaster yet, but I hear it's better.

As said in the other reviews, this game does not work on Windows XP, their website is down for "essential" maintenance, and I threw the box away so I cannot return it. The game may be great on Win98, but there really really should be notice on the box that the game doesn't work on XP or at least an adequate patch available on their website. I agree that the EA has some responsibility for making their games playable on all current platforms! I'll be selling my copy if anyone wants it!

I honestly don't think they could have made this game any worse if they tried! It is the most boring game in the world, theres nothing to do, all the worlds are the same, basically it sucks. If you want to get a theme park making game get Roller Coaster Tycoon, its really fun. If you buy this you'll just be wasting money, because trust me, you will never play it again!!!!

I have a relatively new computer that meets all the system requirements, with room to spare. But the program locks up every time I use it--anywhere from two to twenty minutes into it. Once it locks up, my PC won't even respond to a three-finger salute. Don't waste your money on this.
