Big Disappointment

Well, I wish I had read some of the other customer reviews before purchasing this game. Don't let the "Sim" portion of the name fool you. I've had nothing but good experiences with other Sim games, but this one is a different story. I didn't have any problems with bugs like other reviewers, but I would describe the game as clunky. It's just difficult to use at first and even after you get used to it, just not a lot of fun.

Boring

I had this game a couple years, at first I loved the game, but then I became annoyed with the stupid ant thing that kept repeating everything again and again. Maybe its just my computer but the words on the game are all jumbled looking and I cant understand the ant. There is only four worlds, which by the way are all the same but different scenary, and they dont give you enough money to buy everything you need. Theres not enough options for this games, theres like 5 different rides, 4 concession stands, and you need like 20 janitors to keep the park clean. Nobody want to ride the ride because they are to expensive, but you will lose money if you lower the price. The game takes forever to load and even longer to get off the game and do something else. Save your money and buy something worth it.

Not as good as the one on Playstation

Sim Theme Park on Playstation is much funner and the black dude isn't annoying(as much),on PC Sim Theme Park isn't fun(that much),the black dude is really annoying and gets on my nerves! And when you finish all four parks thats it,kaput!I thought you could put all the rides in one park after youre done with the four parks,I reccomend this game on Playstaion! Not PC!

We're running this on XP on three different machines in our house and my mother's and haven't had ANY problems with installation or running....It's a fun game that is much easier than the Tycoon game is....Makes it's more relaxing and enjoyable. My 6 year old enjoys it as much as myself and my own mother does. Easy to figure out and fun to play. A great anti-stress game for when you just don't to track scores or deal with difficult challenges.

Not XP Compatible

This program will not even run in XP within the Win98/Me Compatibility feature provided by Microsoft.... and the web site is worthless.

Runs very well in my Win98 machine, and my 11 yr daughter enjoys it better than RollerCoaster Tycoon.

Personally...I thought it was great!

Being a faithful follower to the Sims line, I picked this game up 2 years ago. I don't think anyone could have done a better job. I found the controls to be easy to use out of any simulation game. The advisor actually helped a lot the first couple of days..but, like others, I turned him off. Unlike Roller Coaster Tycoon, this game offers MORE variety of features, theming, and rides. I found it rather nice to have around 20 different rides in each park to choose from. I gave 4 stars because it's fairly easy to lose in this game...and I don't like to lose. :)

BORING!!!

When I first got this game for my birthday, I was so excited. I opened the box and found out it was the gold version. I raced to the computer and downloaded it right away. For the first couple of hours it worked great, but in the next couple of days it started slowing down and acted like it had bugs in it. Then it made it hard to go from one end of your parks to the other cuz it was really slow getting there. I hate that there are only 4 themes but all of them have the same rides with different looks. I was really disappointed. Right now I can't even get to the 4th theme cuz I can't earn that 5th stupid golden key because my park is not perfect enough. The "helper" is annoying and slows down game play. If you want a game that will really agitate you then this game is for you. If not, I would reccommend Roller Coaster Tycoon or The Sims. I gave this game 2 stars cuz it is pretty fun for the first couple of hours but then it gets really old and annoying after a while.

Two Thumbs Down!

One word could describe this game in a nutshell...Horrible. This game is all about show, and that's about it. It has four different "worlds" that are really just clones of eachother, just differently themed. You work endlessly to earn an infamous "golden ticket"(having many people in your park) that can unlock some not-so-secret rides or unlock further worlds. There is no incentive to work further towards a golden ticket because the game is so terrible. It became monotonous after a few hours and the replay value is about $0.01 If you already bought the game, at least it was on sale! If you're looking for a good RollerCoaster/Theme Park video game, I agree with the rest of the reviewers when they say RollerCoaster Tycoon is all you need. Another setback of Sim ThemePark is that the game requires a powerful computer so it will run smoothly, RCT does not. I have an 800MhZ computer and it still won't run very well. As everyone said before, steer away from Sim ThemePark and buy RollerCoaster Tycoon, it is much better.

An awful, awful game

At first, the game looks interesting. I thought,"Wow, looks like another neat game from maxis." I already have simtower and simcopter, so I was looking forward to the next one. But when I played it, I thought Maxis had flipped, for 3 reasons:

1.) The graphics are horrible.
2.) The humor is stupid and childish.
3.) There's no freedom and this little guy won't leave me alone.

Take my word for it, this game is for the birds.
