Back in Xmas 2002 I dusted this off for an 'hour or so' and I had forgotten what a blast it was. Anyways, I had some technical issues with the game not starting so I investigated the problem and found a solution. Not everyone has got it running with my help but I've personally had 100% success rate (many machines) - just follow the instructions carefully! Lots of people tell me it works as well!

As for the game itself, yeah it's not exactly modern but still looks good todat. If you get a busy park the engine can have problems keeping up - getting a bit slow/chuggy and cleaners/guards sometimes get 'confused' on where they should be etc. A good 4/5 methinks.

This is a nice game that includes an expansion pack [They call it "Gold edition"] that's already there and you can build your own rides. It is very fun and you can also ride your rides that you make !!! I love it so much, I've been playing it everyday ! Buy this !

Being a Roller Coaster Tycoon fan, I bought this expecting a similar experience, but with more up to date graphics. The graphics are indeed extremely good, but everything else is pretty pathetic. The only advantage that this game has over Roller Coaster Tycoon is the ability to ride the rides you build. You are "trapped" in a certain theme whether you like it or not, therefore customizations are limited. Another really frustrating aspect is the fact that you cannot "zoom out" to get an entire overhead view of the park. It also is a bit too "cartoonish" for my tastes. I wish that I would have read the Amazon reviews before buying this game! Do not buy this game!

This game is stupid. It allways freezes my coputer and i have to turn off the computer and start it up again. I wouldnt recomend this game. You allways run out of money unless you dont build a lot of rides but if you dont build a lot of rides you dont get any customers. i would rate it lower then 1 star if i could.

This is a real good game compared to Roller Coaster Tycoon. The graphics are awesome! I don't see how you could like RCT better. The 3D part of it is great.

My brother even likes this. He dosen`t like roller coaster tycoon because it is so tecnical. This is a lot eisyer than Roller coaster tycoon. If you have roller coaster tycoon and it is hard for you then try this. Try it.

I loved the originial Theme Park so I bought this one when I heard that it was out. I was not dissapointed with it! There was more parks you could build, more challange, and it was much more fun than Theme Park. The only problems that I had with it was that if your park got too busy, the computer would sometimes crash. The other one was the the advisior is very annoying! (Before you buy this you should be sure that your computer has at least 350mhz.)

Installation nightmare

Two new computers with plenty of power but this progam was a demon to load and install regardless of which one I used. Program froze at every opportunity, and the replacement of the first one I returned froze as well. Never got it to run and don't have the patience to try again.

Please Don't Buy this!

If you are looking for a roller coaster game, get Roller Coaster Tycoon, not this. I own both, and RCT is the only one I continue to play. First of all, you have to have a super computer to run this game. It crashed 2 computers before I found one it would work on. Even now, there are little lines all across the words in the game. Very annoying. The only thing a little great about this game is that you can ride the coasters you made, but it's really not as cool as it sounds. This game does not live up to the standards of previous Sim games at all! Now get out there and buy RCT!
